Rehearsed 2x on Jan 14th, John on piano, Paul on guitar (George had just quit the band.) At this point, there was no chorus written. After playing around, John sat it aside until Jan 22nd, when he played it again briefly. This song was a favorite of John's, and was in compitition with I DIG A PONY, for his "big" Let it Be number, but he lost interest in the composistion. Its too bad, cos its a good John piece.
@789TheBeatles Mean Mr. Mustard existed long before this, from the Kinfaun demos. However, the final version of MMM was obviously inspired by this. This is really interesting to listen to, as I hear a bit of Watching Rainbows in here as well. Another great "what if?" from the Beatles catalogue!
More people need to hear this. This is very well done...much better than the other jam of it. I'm starting to actually call this a true Beatles song. What a treasure. :)
@CHRISTHATESAMERICA I SIMPLY DO NOT BELIEVE THEY ARE Satanists & if they are....they sure are able to show alot more love that just could not come from people who worship Satan. I JUST DO NOT BELIEVE THIS.
@ForeverFilms1995 Well. I was raised and baptized Anglican, but am an Atheist. The church you are raised in can be different to what you become later in life. I think Paul may be religious though.
@dead0piggy John wasnt an athiest. He believed in life after death. He may have been agnostic but Ive heard interviews in which he said he believed in God.
@gatortailor I saw an interview from quite early on where John said he was an agnostic but the way he said it seemed like he thought agnostic meant you don't care either way.
He was most certainly not religious later on in his life, whether he believed in spirituality is another thing.
@gatortailor he has enough light and intelligence in his head to be atheist... nothing is real... I don't believe in god... I just believe in me... thanks John
All these rare beatle tracks need to be released!... fuck all this other bullshit music that's on the radio!

They should have made more songs out of the jams like this and released a big bluesy album, ala the Stones. "Get Back" album would've rocked.

I've heard the demo. You obviously did a lot here to fix it, and I congratulate you on it, and thank you for it.

Wow. That was some great cutting. Seamless.

This should have been properly recorded. It's good, even in rehearsal form and with the rhythm from "Mean Mr.Mustard".

@CHRISTHATESAMERICA Can't worship something you don't believe in. The only outwardly religious one was George. And he worshiped Krishna, not Satan.
John was most definately an Atheist.
The religion of the other two is disputed.
