Does anyone know a store that carries them, or do I have to order over the Internet? I'd rather check them out 1st so I could see if they have grips or not. Mine had grip, I'd like to get those same ones, or ones just like it. Thank u!!!!!!!

@Phuckinphils At this time, the only sticks that will have excellent grip on them will be Lunastics. You can find them online. Almost all juggling prop purchases are online unless you go to a festival where juggling vendors have set up. If you can find a Renaissance Festival around your area and ask me again, I can find out if there will be a stick vendor there.

I figured out how to do the helicopter on accident, by just messing around. I didn't know it had a name. It is a good name too. Lol. I was wondering if anyone could help me. Once it stopped being popular, sort of like hackin,(kickin a hackie sack). They stopped selling devil, flower, or juggling stix everywhere. I had a set of devil stix, & a set of flower stix after my 1st ones broke. Da longer skinnier ones were better, but I can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know a store that carries the

I just got my first set of flower sticks and after practising with your tutorial I was able to complete the helicopter! Thank you! It's very clear and easy to follow, which is great for me as I know nothing about devil sticking... yet :) Mind if I ask you some advice?

Sticks are such a challenging prop to find flow with, and it is really important to remember to dance with it and not against it. And I appreciated that you go for it and are enjoying yourself. are these sticks wooden and do they have any sort of grip tape or wrap applied to them?

are flower sticks easier to play with than the devil sticks? the latter are so heavy, but i have no experience with flower sticks

When playing with a Devil Stick you may notice that you must touch the Baton extremely close to its center to maintain balance as you are playing. With a Flower Stick you can touch the stick much further from the center. This means you can adjust the speed of the baton with greater accuracy.

I am very fond of this behavior expressed by the Flower Stick. I suggest you give them a try, if the devil stick didn't work for you.

i've just started, but i actually touch the baton at one quarter of its full length. if i go too close to the centre, it slows down, while if i go to the tip it gets faster. the worst stuff about it is that it's HEAVY. i guess flower sticks are much lighter, ain't they?

I think that if you really want to make sure a new set is going to be lighter you need to check the weight of your sticks and the ones your going to buy. It sounds like you have a very heavy set already so, probably any set of sticks will be lighter. But most suppliers provide information on the mass of manipulation products.

That is wonderful that you think it is so easy.

I think it is an incredibly important step in the development of a great sticks player and the subtleties of the helicopter ought to be well explored. Because it is the basis of horizontal motion with the sticks. And strong foundations make everything else you do better.
