this place is really creepy. i got to go in and walk around the whole place and it gives off an eerie vibe. especially the brook room and the mermaid room where the swimming pool is

Sad News about the new owner of the Brookdale Lodge he was just recently arressted for fraud and Firing the good staff at the hotel

i went there for my birthday and they gave me and my friends the key to that cold room she went in. LOL it was really scary. and freeezing.

in response to Starangelica's, comment.. I am a former bartender at the Brookdale, and I quit due to a lack of pay (paychecks bouncing)  The new owners are truely destroying this beautiful Lodge's legacy... Its sad really...

I live nearby... I was there and took photos just a few weeks before you were there. They have a new owner now. I haven't been back yet.

I haven't been back either, but I do keep in contact with Roger Reynolds the local historian.. He's a wealth of information!

The staff at the Brookdale Lodge are quiting their jobs at this hotel,, Because the new owners have messed up the Wonderful Beautiful hotel and They had no right doing that and I use to be a fan of this place..... Until the abusive new owners took over,,

I don't mean to hurt your feelings but The inside of the Brookdale Lodge nolonger looks the same anymore inside and Out and The mean new owners have runined the historic original hotel - Most of the Brook room has been taken out and Might be turned into a different place and The Brookdale Lodge has lost its country style look and Now has been turned into a spanish looking hotel and I am disappointed that the new owners damaged the historic hotel,,
