well i can attest tht the sver maps are definitely easier to defend but i have accounts with all of the pmcs. I am a sniper and my comparison within in the snipers turns out surprising results. (someone pointed this out to me before I even owned mag) sver snipers are more powerful in shot-damage ratio, raven am-50 exceeds the sver agvk in accuracy, and the valor heavy sniper exceeds both sver and raven in fire rate. there is a system of checks and balances between all pmcs tht most dont notice
i disagreed that you said sver guns are not good.in my opinion sver got the best guns,but valor got some good guns too but sver guns are better or the same.i played on valor pc.valor player are very good too.but most time they can't kill the sver players face to face b/c sver got the better guns,and most valor are on low level so they don't have good armor or things like sver.when i play Dom.and i check the valor palyer level they are low,like level 28,45,39,or a little more higher.but sver,70.
The reality is that even when maps are neutral, SVER will still win. Why? The players. We actually care about winning. Try a little perspective. I've considered vetting. But I also don't have all the time in the world to play MAG. I bet a LOT of other SVER guys just don't have to time/interest to level up again. That has little to do with wanting to play in "easy mode". But, TBH, I also don't feel like facing an army on my own while the rest of my squad snipes from the spawn...a Valor specialty.
To those that think SVER is not OP or EZ-Mode, i can't refrain myself from reminding you that there's still the Zipper's podcast clearly saying SVER has unfair advantages over other factions, enjoy looking in the official website.

I believe that Sver maps are easier to defend. I remember the first time I played on a sver map and I could only describe it as disorganized. I could not find my way around in the Sver maps at first. I'm a raven player, and we lose our maps all the time because we basically have one big dip to go in before you are at our base. I also think that our maps are easier to go through than valors and especially svers.
@vulcanbaum667 look up my videos on introduction to mag , if u want to succeed at the game and get better u need to stick with that rifle until u get a med kit improved resistance don't put and points in weapons until all that's done and don't buy Any other weapon they won't work any better until your a higher level

My main account is SVER and i get MVP almost everytime im level 66 and have the Tamsen the gun needs a 4grip but when i play on Raven i dont completely suck but i do im level 27 and cant win for my life i totally agree with u when u say SVER= EASY MODE
i bought this game n apirl n sold it after a mouth n a half because i could not get into a Domination match or sometimes it took like fuckin forever to get into a game heard they put out some patches so is it better or still bullshit
@MrSaintJim I'm with this guy. I was picked up by a SVER loyal clan when i was a low level. And i've stuck with that clan ever since, and have made friends and I would not leave. Many of the guys in my clan share a similar story. However we represent a small minority of the SVER loyalists.
I believe the guns are balanced. The players aren't because of the maps. map neutrality would be good. Then the better players may jump to Raven and Valor.
I went over to SVER on a dif account temporarily once and as opposed to randoms on VALOR with these scores: 75, 178, 243, 35, etc everyone was consistently over 350
so you slagged off S.V.E.R. and raven yet here you are with them, talk about being a hipercrit. full of shit valor and raven have good players, you just went went with S.V.E.R. coz you got bored of getting you ass kicked

I was n a group of randoms an they were bitchin about loosing all the time (ravn) I was n an acasition I allready stole one tarnsport and I was tryin to organize the squad an platoon an nobody would help or do what o said. We were fighting sevr. I stole a transport(2nd one) and had to try an blow up the front gate by myself
Just want to say that DPS is a TERRIBLE way to measure gun balance.
Raven's ARs do about 2dmg less per shot than SVER's--yeah, seems like nothing. But that translates to one shot less to kill someone with a SVER AR. Do Raven's ARs shoot 6 shots in the time SVER's shoot 5 (amount needed to kill a 120 hp opponent)? No, they do not. They shoot 10.9 to SVER's 10--enough for SVER to kill you TWICE.
As for accuracy stats: they're practically the same for every guns in the same category and tier.

@grillo787pr They don't, at least not nearly as much as the Dom and AQ contracts. Inter and Escalation change hands quite a bit. But if you paid any attention you'll realize that I said SVER does have better players, because most players when they play a game will go to the team that has it easiest. Just the way it is.

The thing is with new game modes, people want modes where you can get lots of kills. Sabo, Acq, and dom you can get a lot of kills. In esc and int I find it difficult to get reapers, this coming from a great killer in myself (not trying to brag or anything, in all honesty). I think if they make a new game mode (not that they will) they need to make a mode where you can get lots of kills.
P90: 50-round magazine, bullpup confuguration, manufactured by FN. Fires the 5.7x28mm round, basically a 5.56 rifle cartridge cut down to the size of a pistol round, designed for greater armor piercing, but has little actual stopping power because of its size and how it glides streaight through a person. Just thought I'd share that. :)
the reason why i got out of raven is because they are goofing around most of the time i am not saying that i am a great player i am far from that but i atleast try to win and try to be a team player but that's really hard if nobody helps me to be a teamplayer .

I played on my Valor account last night and we actually won defending in domination. It was a good game, sorry you missed it :) But my main account IS on SVER because all my friends are on SVER and I'm sure that's true for a lot of other players, too. Of course the last time I wore my mic on another PMC, there was another girl in the squad and a guy called her every name in the book, so I tend to keep quiet on those accounts.
just for people who don´t know the guns are balanced in this way: RAVEN´s guns are the most accuret and have the highist rpm of all the other guns but they are balanced by having the least damage per bullet of them all. S.V.E.R.´s guns are the exact oppesite of RAVEN´s they have poor accurecy and have the slowest rpm but are balanced by having the highist damage per bullet of them all. Valor´s guns are in the middle of the three with overall average stats.

Memories of MAG, I bought it the day came out and I played the living shit out of it, but last year march I got frustrated at the fact that Zipper weren't giving any Dlc. Geirb is it better now? :)

I got mag when it first came out and I didn't know SVER's maps were unbalanced. I just liked what they stood for. Like, them and the personal glory and shit, you know? I veteraned into valor and then I got better. Then I got onto raven and I like its weapons the most. I haven't veteraned again.
Eh, I know you keep saying SVERs weapons aren't better, but if you're making that assumption based solely on the use of the Vipera, then of course you'll come to that conclusion. The Vipera is terrible, but the AG-94 and Tamsen are beast.

Considering that most of the "best" players use these weapons in clan matches or important matches, its easy to see why some people feel shafted in the weapons department.

@geirbiscohn lol you know it's all love. :) I told you that my KDR probably stinks but I'm the support guy. For the past 3 nights i played domination, acquisition, suppression (about 5 or 6 games between all) and we won all. The key to being successful in MAG is paying attention to your minimap and assist where needed (and get kills along the way). KDR is cool but not important in MAG (granted that you know how to actually play). I'm halfway to the CAP level. So im leaning towards raven.
I LOVE to attack this map on this side. G and H side is very hard to attack because you can get redlined relatively easy, but C and D side is fun to attack. One time I secured all four towers, no lies. Yeah S.V.E.R. is easy mode, but I've had GREAT wins against them on this map. One time I was grouped up with some friends, and we won at 0:21. Last 20 seconds within the game, I was focusing on my grim, but we won :)

the maps have always been the problem, sver still has the strongest acqui and domi maps to defend, but every other mode is neutral so idk. More vets is my bet
idk how zipper would create map balance. Even if they did, how would they make all the vets of sver want to switch to raven or valor. Game needs map balance and more vet rewards
@underlordtico They can't create map balance. They screwed that up from the start. I think if a faction isn't tied to a certain map and it's advantages though, that vets would move around a little bit more. Just my opinion

But i remember when we attacked the Elk Bay, it was a feast. i dont think i EVER lost there. and always played with randoms. Even if one platoon was good, a clan, its rare that you get both platoons with clans. IMO best maps are RAVEN ones, when it comes to balance on AQ and DOM.
Even last summer the randoms in Raven would almost make me rage quit and the randoms in Valor were not much better. Trying to get any sort of coordination was an exercise in futility 80% of the time. I come across that in SVER too, of course but it doesn't seem as bad. And I suppose that could be attributed to better players who've migrated over and who know the value of working together.
You already know how I feel about neutrality. With regards to the player base, I shift around with my clan (S!K). I went to Raven when they did a tour in Raven over the summer and I was in valor very briefly when they went to Valor around Halloween. I didn't playing for a large chunk of that time due to a back injury, but outside of the games with my clan, I had a terrible experience in both factions. Point being, I tend to agree with you that at this stage, the better players are in SVER.
I don't know how prevalent it would be, but once you have map neutrality you'll see clans backing out if the map arrangement doesn't work out in their favor.
Maps: Most maps can be defended or attacked. Exceptions: Darien network at times, and elk bay
Weapons: Weapons have pros and cons on each side however i feel that the shotguns have the greatest variation.
Players: SVER better "blue dots" but each team has their own good clans
Future: 1. everyone rages and goes to SVER 2. players get bored 3. SVER players get tired of winning and want a challenge so they come back to valor or raven (hopefully)
I agree with you about sony cutting support to games, like on killzone 2, after about half an year Guerrilla tried to fix the lag issues and everything went worse than ever, but they didn't do anything to fix that..BTW I think that sony's support to online games is very good anyway.
About the unbalanced maps, I don't know because I don't play MAG I watch your vid just because they are entertaining :P
Ya, the SVER weapons just suck, but I guess it also depends on how the person like to play. I love the ATAC, its a great gun. Use the 4x scope with it and you can quickly take out snipers.
Speaking of maps, todya i got to AQ. games on Elk and was a blast, though randoms, i was lucky to be on a platoon with several Team-players. 1st one was a lose, thanks to the other platoon, but damn the other one was a complete bunker line game. it had been MONTHS since i got on a team able to stand up for Elk Bay.
But yea, i just hope they go for map neutrality. it's not gonna make players migrate, but a tleast would give valor a chance to get out of the hell holes valor's maps are on degense
At the end of the day, it's all up to player skill in which faction is better. I doubt that each faction has equal amounts of skilled players vs. unskilled.
You can give two racers the same fast car. Racer A is experienced and has excellent skill and talent, racer B is inexperienced and has very little talent and skill. Of course Racer A is going to win, although they have the same car, because he's a better racer.

Secondly, I started out as Valor on my main account, and found that we lost more games than won. Most of the time I raged after a game of Dom and turned the game off because of my fellow teammate's incompetence.
I made a second account today and tested out SVER. First two games where Suppression, close game, but we won. Felt good, man. I found that I did better on SVER than I did on Valor my first time. Also, I love the AK-47u.
@boredomkills24 Well I didn't freeze any, but I was playing alone. Judging by the kill counts at the end of the game there were plenty of attackers coming down and surprisingly few redline snipers. So it didn't seem there were many freezing on that end either.

I've played MAG ever since it came out and I agree with you that SVER's maps are much easier to defend. I've started in RAVEN, went to Valor and finally tried SVER. It may be me but it seems there are not many places to take cover when attacking SVER. I agree that all the players flock to SVER because they will almost always win on that faction.
MAG could have been everything neutral from the get-go, and we would still have a similar situation. It may have been a different faction that became the winner, but 1 of the 3 would clearly be the best.It's the nature of the game. There has to be a system to spread the best players around the game, and there needs to be a way to get them to WANT to spread around.There won't be a significant shift of players based on a 'moral' decision, there needs to be a carrot to follow. And please, not EXP!

I really hope Sony and Zipper don't stop supporting MAG anytime soon. I got into MAG late, and I haven't played played anything else in 2 weeks as it is. I keep thinking about going back to play something else, but that MAG disc keeps calling to me.
@FellS3raph I have been playing MAG for a while. I go through long sprees of playing the game and can say that map neutrality is te way forward. The few friends I know who own a ps3 (most are 360 players) are put off by how easy it is to loose because you are not playing a certain faction.
The sad thing is Zipper put up a vote for game modes to go neutral and the majority of pplayers sadly don't want it.
I'm not going to deny that SEVR is easy mode, but it is everyone talking about it that brings more horrible players to SEVR. I was playing some ACC, versus Valor(i think) and while they were planting on our bunker, our squad leader was too busy repairing the bunker turret to kill the guy. SEVR may be easy mode, but we still have our share of bad players.
Also, I can never seem to win when attacking Raven in DOM...It just seems impossible to me.
@geirbiscohn Yea, but at least make them smart enough to know what has a higher priority in-game. It doesn't really mater to me right now, due to my trophy expedition I will be going to Valor to clear "Hard-Mode" before I go to Raven(Probably has my favorite guns)
And having used the Vipera as my main weapon for the longest time, it truly has horrible bullet spread, when I have my cross-hairs over the guy, I do not want a bullet going in the wall 20 meters away from the guy.
I got MAG when it came out and I joined SVER before I knew about the Unbalanced things. I got to level 70. But now I play on Valor :)

The reality is that even when maps are neutral, SVER will still win. Why? The players. We actually care about winning. Try a little perspective. I've considered vetting. But I also don't have all the time in the world to play MAG. I bet a LOT of other SVER guys just don't have to time/interest to level up again. That has little to do with wanting to play in "easy mode". But, TBH, I also don't feel like facing an army on my own while the rest of my squad snipes from the spawn...a Valor specialty.

I believe that Sver maps are easier to defend. I remember the first time I played on a sver map and I could only describe it as disorganized. I could not find my way around in the Sver maps at first. I'm a raven player, and we lose our maps all the time because we basically have one big dip to go in before you are at our base. I also think that our maps are easier to go through than valors and especially svers.

@MrSaintJim I'm with this guy. I was picked up by a SVER loyal clan when i was a low level. And i've stuck with that clan ever since, and have made friends and I would not leave. Many of the guys in my clan share a similar story. However we represent a small minority of the SVER loyalists.
I believe the guns are balanced. The players aren't because of the maps. map neutrality would be good. Then the better players may jump to Raven and Valor.

Just want to say that DPS is a TERRIBLE way to measure gun balance.
Raven's ARs do about 2dmg less per shot than SVER's--yeah, seems like nothing. But that translates to one shot less to kill someone with a SVER AR. Do Raven's ARs shoot 6 shots in the time SVER's shoot 5 (amount needed to kill a 120 hp opponent)? No, they do not. They shoot 10.9 to SVER's 10--enough for SVER to kill you TWICE.
As for accuracy stats: they're practically the same for every guns in the same category and tier.

But if you paid any attention you'll realize that I said SVER does have better players, because most players when they play a game will go to the team that has it easiest. Just the way it is.

The thing is with new game modes, people want modes where you can get lots of kills. Sabo, Acq, and dom you can get a lot of kills. In esc and int I find it difficult to get reapers, this coming from a great killer in myself (not trying to brag or anything, in all honesty). I think if they make a new game mode (not that they will) they need to make a mode where you can get lots of kills.

I played on my Valor account last night and we actually won defending in domination. It was a good game, sorry you missed it :) But my main account IS on SVER because all my friends are on SVER and I'm sure that's true for a lot of other players, too. Of course the last time I wore my mic on another PMC, there was another girl in the squad and a guy called her every name in the book, so I tend to keep quiet on those accounts.

just for people who don´t know the guns are balanced in this way: RAVEN´s guns are the most accuret and have the highist rpm of all the other guns but they are balanced by having the least damage per bullet of them all. S.V.E.R.´s guns are the exact oppesite of RAVEN´s they have poor accurecy and have the slowest rpm but are balanced by having the highist damage per bullet of them all. Valor´s guns are in the middle of the three with overall average stats.

I got mag when it first came out and I didn't know SVER's maps were unbalanced. I just liked what they stood for. Like, them and the personal glory and shit, you know? I veteraned into valor and then I got better. Then I got onto raven and I like its weapons the most. I haven't veteraned again.

Considering that most of the "best" players use these weapons in clan matches or important matches, its easy to see why some people feel shafted in the weapons department.

For the past 3 nights i played domination, acquisition, suppression (about 5 or 6 games between all) and we won all. The key to being successful in MAG is paying attention to your minimap and assist where needed (and get kills along the way). KDR is cool but not important in MAG (granted that you know how to actually play). I'm halfway to the CAP level. So im leaning towards raven.

I LOVE to attack this map on this side. G and H side is very hard to attack because you can get redlined relatively easy, but C and D side is fun to attack. One time I secured all four towers, no lies. Yeah S.V.E.R. is easy mode, but I've had GREAT wins against them on this map. One time I was grouped up with some friends, and we won at 0:21. Last 20 seconds within the game, I was focusing on my grim, but we won :)

When i foirst got the game i was on RAVEN, till my bro delated my data =w=;;
But i remember when we attacked the Elk Bay, it was a feast. i dont think i EVER lost there. and always played with randoms. Even if one platoon was good, a clan, its rare that you get both platoons with clans. IMO best maps are RAVEN ones, when it comes to balance on AQ and DOM.

Even last summer the randoms in Raven would almost make me rage quit and the randoms in Valor were not much better. Trying to get any sort of coordination was an exercise in futility 80% of the time. I come across that in SVER too, of course but it doesn't seem as bad. And I suppose that could be attributed to better players who've migrated over and who know the value of working together.

You already know how I feel about neutrality. With regards to the player base, I shift around with my clan (S!K). I went to Raven when they did a tour in Raven over the summer and I was in valor very briefly when they went to Valor around Halloween. I didn't playing for a large chunk of that time due to a back injury, but outside of the games with my clan, I had a terrible experience in both factions. Point being, I tend to agree with you that at this stage, the better players are in SVER.

Maps: Most maps can be defended or attacked. Exceptions: Darien network at times, and elk bay
Weapons: Weapons have pros and cons on each side however i feel that the shotguns have the greatest variation.
Players: SVER better "blue dots" but each team has their own good clans
Future: 1. everyone rages and goes to SVER 2. players get bored 3. SVER players get tired of winning and want a challenge so they come back to valor or raven (hopefully)

I agree with you about sony cutting support to games, like on killzone 2, after about half an year Guerrilla tried to fix the lag issues and everything went worse than ever, but they didn't do anything to fix that..BTW I think that sony's support to online games is very good anyway.

Speaking of maps, todya i got to AQ. games on Elk and was a blast, though randoms, i was lucky to be on a platoon with several Team-players. 1st one was a lose, thanks to the other platoon, but damn the other one was a complete bunker line game. it had been MONTHS since i got on a team able to stand up for Elk Bay.
But yea, i just hope they go for map neutrality. it's not gonna make players migrate, but a tleast would give valor a chance to get out of the hell holes valor's maps are on degense

At the end of the day, it's all up to player skill in which faction is better. I doubt that each faction has equal amounts of skilled players vs. unskilled.
You can give two racers the same fast car. Racer A is experienced and has excellent skill and talent, racer B is inexperienced and has very little talent and skill. Of course Racer A is going to win, although they have the same car, because he's a better racer.

For starters, your videos are the sole reason I bought M.A.G.
Secondly, I started out as Valor on my main account, and found that we lost more games than won. Most of the time I raged after a game of Dom and turned the game off because of my fellow teammate's incompetence.
I made a second account today and tested out SVER. First two games where Suppression, close game, but we won. Felt good, man. I found that I did better on SVER than I did on Valor my first time. Also, I love the AK-47u.

@boredomkills24 Well I didn't freeze any, but I was playing alone. Judging by the kill counts at the end of the game there were plenty of attackers coming down and surprisingly few redline snipers. So it didn't seem there were many freezing on that end either.

Cheap maps for S.V.E.R. has allowed people to call S.V.E.R. E-Z mode. But I'm not gonna lie about S.V.E.R. being E-Z mode though.

@Tenzo777 You can't tell based on the video lol? Seriously though, join SVER. They need more newbs. Plus you'll probably be able to learn the game with less frustration there, and when you hit 70 you can vet to Raven or Valor

I've played MAG ever since it came out and I agree with you that SVER's maps are much easier to defend. I've started in RAVEN, went to Valor and finally tried SVER. It may be me but it seems there are not many places to take cover when attacking SVER. I agree that all the players flock to SVER because they will almost always win on that faction.

MAG could have been everything neutral from the get-go, and we would still have a similar situation. It may have been a different faction that became the winner, but 1 of the 3 would clearly be the best.It's the nature of the game. There has to be a system to spread the best players around the game, and there needs to be a way to get them to WANT to spread around.There won't be a significant shift of players based on a 'moral' decision, there needs to be a carrot to follow. And please, not EXP!

I really hope Sony and Zipper don't stop supporting MAG anytime soon. I got into MAG late, and I haven't played played anything else in 2 weeks as it is. I keep thinking about going back to play something else, but that MAG disc keeps calling to me.

@FellS3raph I have been playing MAG for a while. I go through long sprees of playing the game and can say that map neutrality is te way forward. The few friends I know who own a ps3 (most are 360 players) are put off by how easy it is to loose because you are not playing a certain faction.
The sad thing is Zipper put up a vote for game modes to go neutral and the majority of pplayers sadly don't want it.

I'm not going to deny that SEVR is easy mode, but it is everyone talking about it that brings more horrible players to SEVR. I was playing some ACC, versus Valor(i think) and while they were planting on our bunker, our squad leader was too busy repairing the bunker turret to kill the guy. SEVR may be easy mode, but we still have our share of bad players.
Also, I can never seem to win when attacking Raven in DOM...It just seems impossible to me.

@geirbiscohn Yea, but at least make them smart enough to know what has a higher priority in-game. It doesn't really mater to me right now, due to my trophy expedition I will be going to Valor to clear "Hard-Mode" before I go to Raven(Probably has my favorite guns)
And having used the Vipera as my main weapon for the longest time, it truly has horrible bullet spread, when I have my cross-hairs over the guy, I do not want a bullet going in the wall 20 meters away from the guy.
