  • By the time they get used to the clutch, there would be no more clutch there dude if i hold down my clutch for a min its burned out

  • if this guy a manual-gear-using-teacher,i am a pro rally driver :D

  • He forgot to take off the e-break

  • Ya chocaste xD

  • he's got to be the coolest dude around

  • Nice Nike shoes :) New Air max's?

  • hi check out my video

  • its "the truth" from San Andreas

  • @mjay216 HAHAHAHA

  • thks sir

  • i kno right

  • this niggas in a pt cruiuser

  • @ibbiedude25 dis shits too gangsta to handle yo!

  • Step one: Be European

  • I made a "how-to" video for a school project of how to drive a stick shift. Whats sad is that 90% of my class didnt know what a stick shift is...

  • Stupid american people .

  • agreed, this was more helpful in one minute than all the other videos i've seen as well.

  • In 58 seconds I understood way better then all the 4-5 min videos! No extra explanations, awesome!

  • Im 16 and so scared to try this :p im using my grandads car without him knwing. :P

  • @MrFreezeHD your AWESOME DUDE

  • He lost me at seat belt.

  • @DoctorLea loololol

  • @DoctorLea

    Lmfao hahahaha

  • you get so much power with manual that I don't understand why someone would drive an automatic !…

    pass others faster, so you pas them more safely ;

    power shift in curves so your always at the right speed ;

    don't have to break so when entering a curve so the car stays in line ;

    use the engine brake so you don"t burn your brakes downhill ;

    powers shift so you catch instant speed which helps escaping a dangerous situation on the road ;

    etc… etc…

  • @vincent7520 ok but think about this...

Your an old person and you have bad legs so you don't want to have to shift.

You drive in a place say a city with a lot of traffic, who wants to change gears every 2 seconds.?

its funner to cruise in and less hassle but ofcourse manuals are fun too.

  • @andrewparker111 I didn't say that automatic cars were useless. But this is not driving a car, ie. being able to control it in any condition ; the test being the mountain narrow winding road, preferably covered with snow. I should be fair and admit it's also a matter of habit. I have no problem to shift gears 10 times a minute, but when I took an automatic from the airport in NM my foot frantically searched for the left foot pedal and i stomped on the brake pedal too hard (no engine brake !…).

  • @vincent7520 yeah that does suck you need to have your brakes changed earlier. good point.

  • ahaha a pirate driving a pt cruiser...

  • There is a lot of jokes about cars and women, but my girlfriend is a master with the stick :D.

  • It's Reznov from Black Ops!!!

  • fuck seatbelts

  • @pantherfortytwo Yeah, fuck living.

  • Dear expert village, How do i get away with rape?

  • why the hell would you look at ur feet while driving?

  • That hippy needs to be driving a VW bus.

  • That hippy needs to driving a VW bus.

  • Thats the tricky part the balance between clutch & gas after you learn that you`re good .

  • damn, americans cant drive manual?seriously?and yet you say asian drivers suck.how fag

  • @maluphet99 Oh i know man, it sucks so much that we don't live in a 3rd world country and have access to public transportation. It also really sucks that the average american can afford the more expensive automatic transmission. Suck a cock with your jealousy and feel free to stay on the outside looking in. we don't want you.

  • @TheSigp220 LOL Automatic transmission is for pussies I live in Norway where almost every car is manual transmissioned its more fun and your in more control over the vehicle.

  • when the hell in your number list does starting said automobile come into play?

  • You should role off the clutch and keep your heel anchored to the ground, this way you have clutch control to the highest accuracy. The way he is showing is not good because the leg will get tired after a few minutes

  • WTF i thought this was gonna show me how to drag race >=/

  • @MrAnt797 Dooohhhh

  • YOU LOOK LIKE A FUCKING PIRATE!!!!

  • Why is the title SO GOD DAMN LONG??!!

  • Comment removed

  • he forgot the handbrake.

  • manual transmission is easy. nothing difficult to it. STOP driving automatic it only costs more fuel

  • i refuse to learn anything from a guy driving a PT cruiser. its just weird.

  • @jewishjackhammer its just, y'know a car. no biggie.

  • is there any whit manual gearbox us?

  • Steve the pirate!?!

  • nice shoes..luv it

  • @archrodel lurve it!

  • manual PT cruiser...yeah buddy

  • you da man Rob!!

  • November 9 :) happy birthday Miranda

  • looks like a bum

  • OMG why can't expert village put all the videos into one instead of splitting them up? Really Annoying!

  • I just let out on the clutch and add some gas at the same time.I'm pretty good at it :)

  • u follow his advice, u die.

  • why the hell would you buy a stick pt looser?! haha

  • this is what I was trying to convey. it all depends on the driver. I have a comparison to the Aston Martin Rapide or Chevrolet Camaro which is great, or Dodge Challernger which is disgusting inside but I liked him very much. these are cool cars corvette is not. my opinion. with all due respect corvette is a bad car. I will never recommend it to anyone. heard anything about the dagger gt car? maybe?

  • You are a pro at driving manual. the car didn't even jerk let Aline stall.

  • I hate that car

  • He has a PT Cruiser, and he made it sound like a ricer. LOL

  • wouldnt you need to press the gas in order to get the car to start moving? you let off the clutch then the car moved then you pressed the gas...

  • @danniboi135 no, you obviously need to watch these videos

  • The title MUST be fixed. "Learn how to use a stick shift, How to drive a stick shift" is the same thing. Just put How to drive a stick shift.

  • looks fairly easy to do but just need to steal some1 cars to try on

  • i love how when people tell how to drive they tell you everything you need to know then when its over they say... BUT DONT BLAHBLAHBLAH... wich is all the camera was lookin at rofl.... so basicly when noobs look at this they WOULD be only looking down at there feet.....

  • wow! americans really know how to use a gear lever and clutch! in the same time! maybe they someday build a car that actually turns! or works.

  • @urukhuj444555: I can't believe you just went there. In this day and age american cars turns just as well as any car and not too mention reliability is no longer a problem. The Cadillac CTS-V is still the quickest 4 door RWD car on the Nurburgring. The Corvette ZR-1 put up an impressive time for its class. And not to mention both of these cars are probably the only high performance cars in the world that comes with a 5 year/ 100,000 mile powertrain warranty to prove their reliability.

  • @V8Supercar1: Rubbish. you have ceased to produce good cars in the seventies. not so long ago, your mustang (1979-1993) 5.0L 4V V-8 with 165hp or 3.8L 2V V-6 with 112hp or 5.0L V-8 with 235hp (COBRA) OR (1994 - 1998) 4.6L V8 225KM or 5.0L V8 240KM -240hp from V8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how this is possible? your engines are pathetic, suspension too. So what, now you are doing better cars. doing it to sell in Europe. despite the fact that they are cheaper than our, but no one buys. this is the point.

  • @urukhuj444555: Yes I dont doubt at all that our cars during that time was not good at all. But now we have come a long way. This day and age our cars are a whole lot better. Examples? Ford and GM now have a 310hp V6. Ford once built a 6.3 liter N/A 620hp V10 for their Ford GR-1 concept car. GM also have a 6.8 liter normally asperiated 700hp V8 that you will find in the GT Malan kit car. Iconic motors has intrduced their Iconic AC Roadster, which has a 6.9 liter 825hp normally aspirated V8.

  • @V8Supercar1: I agree, now you makes better use with the power of your engines. it had to happen. a few years ago when the ZR1appeared. I went to the USA to test it. really good car..... on the straight. but insane on the corners. not very comfortable. i rent it to test for a week. plastic "back" fell off third day, fourth did not want to start. i tested the GT40. great car. I love him with all my heart. spoiled all the time. I hated him for it. besides, the fuel absorbed was enormous.

  • @urukhuj444555: Okay. Seriously. Seems like you quoted that straight from top gear. The ZR-1 is great around corners. When this car was released, it broke the world record in the slalom. And it also posted a lap time of 7:26 on the Nurburgring which beat out a great car like the mercedes-benz slr mclaren.

  • @V8Supercar1: yes its true, I work for Top Gear magazine in Poland. Mr. Clarkson is biased. I drove the ZR1 here in poland on Poznań race track, and sorry but at high speeds this car is dangerous at corners. I'm not a racing driver, besides, most of people is not, and someone may be hurt. in the hands of the race driver car can beat any records. in the hands of a wealthy idiot ZR1 is a deadly machine. yes than was Viper SRT10 ACR 7:22, but also was pagani zonda R 6:47. SLR is a heavy scrap.

  • @urukhuj444555: "in the hands of the race driver car can beat any records. in the hands of a wealthy idiot ZR1 is a deadly machine" You can say this about any high performance car with a manual gear box. But the ZR-1 also offers safety features like traction control and abs. Now if you crash a car with these features on, then you really should not be racing anything around any track.

  • @V8Supercar1: Nobody here is talking about breaking up with enabled tc and abs, it is impossible ... I guess. but there are cars that can be controlled after switching off the traction control, and the ZR1's not one of them. Look at it from the perspective of changing weather conditions. in central Europe we have snow, rain, ice, frost, and others. with such great power traction control going crazy on the snow.

  • @urukhuj444555: Its on the driver. Its not on the car. The car has proven itself to be handled well. If not, then it would not do so well in the slalom or on the nurburgring. Its up to the driver to control the car. If the driver cant control the car, then thats why their is trac control settings. I know plenty of people who can handle the ZR-1 without the trac control. Like I said, its up to the driver.

  • @urukhuj444555 wtf!!!!!!!!! have you heard of Ford? You know the guy who invented cars started this company...Henry Ford......and he was American! Damn foreigners thinking theyre better than everybody else

  • @danniboi135: yes. I've heard. question is. did you have heard about Mr. Benz? Damn Yanks thinking theyre better than everybody else

  • @urukhuj444555 wtf have you heard of FORD?

  • this tut is for 14 year old girls :D

  • God i hate these Expert Village videos, they all suck & seems ya never know it's one till after ya clicked on it, wish You Tube would bann them.

  • If people are seriously researching how to drive a manual transmission on youtube, then perhaps he had better tell them to take the hand/e-brake off before trying to pull away?

  • who the fuck will ever watch his feet when shiftig? omfG

  • its funny how he said not to look at you feet because you can crash yet the camera is showing his feet. lol hahahah XD

  • @ashtonland Ummm..someone else is doing the filming...

  • I love you tutorial and I agree with this is how you really should drive a manual. However!! This method that your teaching is only good with vehicles that have a really good clutch. Not every vehicle you drive is gonna have a good clutch and you sometimes won't be able to just lift up the clutch and gain "friction point". Your gonna have to apply some gas to help assist you in finding it.

  • PT cruizer my ass. that things so haggard.

  • A hurst shifter in a PT cruiser, am I missing something?

  • i thought those ptcruisers were automatic

  • hey get some new shoes you peasant. you should also burn that pt cruiser in a fire, it is one of the most horrendous looking cars ever to be developed.

  • wait i thought step 3 was to light a blunt? i am confused.

  • i think you forget the whole part about where your suppose to start the car lol... alot of new people dont know that when driving a standard you have to push the clutch in to start the car... unless there is a bypass for a remote start...

  • @THEvampgenocide That is only in North America, the rest of the world puts faith in the skill of the driver and has no need for a clutch interlock.

  • Are you joking. Try that shit in traffic mate you panick. Ive mastered manual and you add accelerator first and bring the clutch out to its engage point or "friction point" whcih you only pick up by the feel of the car. Doing it your way burns yor clutch out

  • how to drive while your eyes are closed???

  • homo

  • a manual pt cruzer is redundant...

  • Is that a Crysler??

  • @crashoverriderayden No, it's a Chrysler.

  • thanks for your video

  • asa pantofi jegosi:))

  • thanks brother for your help

  • Rob from expert village, I have a couple of words for you. YOU FUCKING SUCK! That is all :)

  • @thehatchetwarrior808 yer prolly mad cuz yer too dumb to drive stick

  • @2Girls1Nuke Lol I can drive stick blindfolded my friend.

  • Comment removed

  • @2Girls1Nuke Maybe YOUR the one who's too dumb to drive a stick? o.O

  • why not make all 20 videos in one video with everything you need to know.....idiots

  • omg! i dident know it was a gas peddal... i hate expert village :C i hat em some much im willing to comment bout it ! :[

  • wow this is the hardest thing to do...

before somebody told me that this was the right way to do it i was giving the car gas and slowly let out the clutch

  • @Joey989898 OH shit yeah that's what I was doing as well.

  • 1st off - seatbelt. 2nd - push the clutch in. 3rd - Spark a doobie

  • @edyken77 1st seatbelt, 2nd push the clutch in. 3rd rev hard and shift to 2nd gear. 4th... releas clutch and make a donut!!

    have fun ... changing rubber...

    ;-)

  • @edyken77 lmfao .. i'm tearing up lololol

  • @edyken77 yessir

    ganja in my car!

  • @edyken77 FCK YA!

  • @edyken77 4th put in your favorite phish cd

  • at any point should you have the clutch and the gas pushed down, at all, at the same time?

  • @lazyboi368 no, this will only cause the engine to rev and nothing to happen because you have just disengaged the clutch making the transmission be in a neutral state.

  • @lazyboi368 No way man haha you'll just rev the engine

  • wait r u calling chrysler a loser or the guy... cause if ur dissing chrysler ur dissing dodge and jeep cause they work in a singal company or something like that...couldnt get the wording

  • @theassasin789: can we both agree that Dodge dropped the balls when they decided to force feed us that crap.. a 98 VW jetta tail light has more of a backbone to it then the whole PT put together.

  • @EvolvedExile well ya true...

  • @EvolvedExile But the jetta is foreign so it sucks.

  • @MrOorah0311 probably no more then what ur driving

  • And.........

    I was born doing this!

  • ROFL. As soon as this guy started talking, an ad for meth appeared at the bottom of the video.

  • @Reptile00Seven lmfao

  • im pretty sure first thing is starting the car... just a thought.

  • ...why would anyone look at their feet lol? Youd have to be pretty dumb...just sayin ^^

  • Dam I miss Driving My old 1990 Mitsubishi TP Magna Grand tourer that was a Manual 2.6 litre 4 cylinder with 109kw and it was a little pocket rocket weighing 1100kg for a 4 door mid sized sedan. Unfortunatly Some Bastard of a Drunk Driver pulled out of a side street and T boned it, So want to convert My Mitsubishi Verada to manual though with the V6 3.0 it'll go awesome I prefer Manual over auto any day

  • @my90tp Agreed. I'm on my P's and i hate automatic it's so boring i fall asleep haha

  • you really look like an "expert" bro

  • 0:42 lol... I wouldn't want to anyway look at my feet if my shoes were that bad. Pls get a new pair dude.

  • @lemaindedieu I drive barefoot, but I don't think I wanna see his feet...

  • so can you just give it gas when the car starts moving or do you have to give it gas while slowly realsing the clutch

  • @gunnut3345

You can do either, You don't have to apply gas when releasing the clutch slowly but its much prefer if you do apply TINY bit of gas while releasing the clutch

  • @gunnut3345 Give her some gas before moving if ur unsure. Better to have a bit too much than a bit too little.

  • i love this Viking! :D

  • i tough my chick to drive my gts-4. she never even drove a auto before

  • wtf olol boolegg shoes

  • I knew this when i was 7 years old lmao

  • Oh please, don't think about driving. Just do it!

  • @epicsr That's the advice my parents gave me.....and it worked like a charm

  • what if ur on the highway COASTING, and the rpm's are low because ur COASTING and the person in front brakes and then u brake, wont u stall the car?????

  • @sergsrt8

thats why you keep it at a gear where that WONT happen easily. But if it does, press the clutch + brake

  • @artem1002 a gear where that wont happen, do u mean like higher rpm's so like downshifting?

  • @sergsrt8

noott really. i mean like... whichever speed ur going, make sure the gear is in a normal range at that speed. therefore, if you have to speed up, you won't be forced to shift up right away, causing higher rpm, making you burn gas. But if you have to slow down, it won't stall right away either.

  • @artem1002 thanks for all the help, check out my new video if u want

  • @sergsrt8 That's why you press the clutch down when the car slows down. You should NEVER coast in neutral, ever.

  • @Fundamentis yeah but you should also never Ride the Clutch, you should gear down and let the engine slow you down.

  • @sergsrt8 Never ever coast. It's stupid and you will fuck your gear box. That's why you use cruise control

  • wow your a fag.. dont need to teach someone to fucken drive safe your fucken teaching them to shift manual. ass hole.

  • yeah yeah yeah its easy i can drive stick no problem.... now the thing i need to know is how do i drive an automatic?!!? lol yay sarcasm

  • ну и отлично,хоть кто то поймёт мой пост, и не придётся по 5 минут пытаться написать правильное предложение на англ.

  • wtf?300k views, u dont know how to use clutch?seriously?

there where i live, a 7years kid know how to drive car with manual transmission

  • nearly everyone knows how to drive shift

  • @pspmanful You would be surprised at how many people would just sit there functionless.

  • @ndimon1988 does he speak better then you??

  • @65PontiacTempest you know Russian language? I'm trying to write in English, and you try Russian?

here did not seem to exercise in grammar

  • @ndimon1988 yes actually i lived in russia for 4 years and i speak it pretty well

  • In England the vast majority of cars are manuals. I LOVE driving a manual. It's truly the best way to drive. YOU are in control. It feels great to decide for yourself what gear to change into, how to apply your clutch, use clutch control to edge up on traffic lights, etc. Yes you get the odd stall but you are more aware and careful. You are also in control of how much gas/petrol/diesil you use. I'm conscious of loving the gear change and wouldn't change it for anything else. True driving.

  • Americans don't know what real driving is. They're lazy and fat. Driving a manual is way more exciting than driving a boring automatic. Besides, if you do it properly you can accelerate faster with a manual.

  • @timobenjamin Aactually... If you build the autobox right it'll be the fast way in a straight line. Just sayin'.

  • @timobenjamin yea autos can be faster ALSO there is less room for driver error. you will not always shift the same every single time no matter how good you are

  • counter, the car stalls cus theres not enough gas to make it move

  • so will it hurt the car if i just push and release the clutch without the car moving?

  • pt loser?

  • Why does stalling happen in the first place? Anyone?

  • @counterfeitcoin Cause the car does not have enough power to get moving. Its like stalling a lawnmower when you hit a patch of tall grass. Does that make sense?

  • @counterfeitcoin The clutch is what keeps the gears moving hence if you remove your foot from the clutch or your in to a high a gear for the speed in which you are travelling there arent enough revs to counteract the speed of your gears hence the cut shuts off

  • الله يعطيك العافيه وشكرا لك
