@stelladottieful Oh, "in a hurry" meaning, you are not wanting to spend a lot of time on your hair. Say for example, you know you have to be in class early in the morning, but you want to stay up late tonight. At the same time, you want to look cute.That is when you would prepare by wearing the curlers... Get it? Also, you don't have to curl your hair for this look if you don't want to.

You are probably using the curling iron upside-down. What you want to do is start at the root, not the tip. Clip the iron against the base of the hair you're curling (careful not to burn your scalp, obviously) and then instead of turning it like you normally would, hold it still and wrap the rest of the hair around the iron.

The reason curls don't hold when you curl from tip to root is the hair wrapped around the iron absorbs all the heat, so the root doesn't get any.
