  • Hey Ken, thanks for this information, man! You're about the fastest I've seen on youtube with the string silencer tying! Archery is my new-found passion at age 52 and I practice every day. I bought a recurve about a month ago and I have the silencers here. Gonna order me some of that wax string and do exactly what you did! Thanks a million, Ken!

  • Video was a great help

  • Hey,are you related to "Larry the Cable guy"..I always enjoy watching your videos,Keep them coming

  • do you make your own spiders or do you buy them? if you buy them what brand are they?

  • do you suggest this type of silencer or like a limbsaver?

  • Awesome, man! I've gone through about half a dozen of those stupid things tying them on the wrong way ( the way suggested by the manufacturer is to tie the actual strip in a knot around the string)- Thanks for the correct information-

  • thats the best way to do it

  • "Idnt dat coo" haha i agree

  • I am so glad I kept my handy old roach clip forceps from my younger days. I knew they would come in handy for something other than.........................

  • excellent video...same as the rest. you sure know how to "bow around".....thnaks!!

  • Nice

  • I heard you say B50 when you showed how to tie in a peep sight. In this video you said B52,,did you make a mistake or do you use two diff types of string?

  • Kenny, Every single one of your videos are super helpful! Thank you for taking the time to make them. I am brand new to archery as of 2 days ago, and I am absorbing everything I can. Your videos seem to help the most so far!

    Great job.

  • All of your videos have been of tremendous assistance, thanks Kenny. They gave me confidence to do a lot more of my own work. Have fitted the silencers, together with a Trophy Taker drop down rest after watching this and basic rest setup and the TT videos. But what was happening in the background? Did some good lookin' woman keep walking by the shop????

  • @885JMD lol I wish, just the traffic turning around in the parking lot. Glad the bids have been helpful, STAY TUNED....

  • @885JMD: I agree it had to be a good lookin woman, but Kenny held it together!!!...lol Good videos for sure

  • where do i get that spider leg material in aus??

  • Yeah that was a very well tutorial keep up the good work man

  • Thanks for the how to man. Just did this on my first bow. Trying to save money where I can and My bow was already really quiet I just figure this can't hurt it any. Your videos are great keep them up.

  • will anyother type of string work

  • Kenny, or anyone else have any pros/cons between different silencers? (fur, rubber, wool, etc...) This is for a recurve, if that even makes a difference. Thanks!

  • awesome man thanks!

  • old school type!! mine are made out of fur lol now thats old school

  • Nice video my friend , it works perfect for my , I´m beginner

  • Is there a way to improvise that? Because I think they are very cool, but i am the DIY type... And i can't find them at the archery shops in our region...

  • @NaxTactical I am going to make a wool one!

  • where do i get em at ??? i cant find em NOWHERE ! i dont have anythin on my bow

  • @ducksunlimited95 Try Basspro

  • great video keep up the good work

  • can you move them up and down on the string for tuning once they are installed - or are they on so tight that they cannot be slid up or down on the string once installed?

  • your the man love your vids

  • Great video and well put simple instructions !!! Thanks

  • It might be hitting on the split buss cable I'm not sure how you could fix this maybe move it up or down could be a possable fix maybe Limbsaver could be better help. I have had them break before but I always thought it was the force of the shot.

  • I'm using the limbsaver Super String Leech and the top leech keeps getting cut some how from the string, how can i solve this ?

  • Do you have a website that you can get the materials from or can you get them at any bow shop.

  • probably go to a nearby Cabelas or bass pro, or academy.

  • Put them about 3 inches from your cams and put 2 on your main string this should work fine.

  • Where is the best location to put these on the string? How many are usually put on?

  • Great job!

  • Looks great! What material is it? Why it burst for small straps when cutted with scissors? Where to find it?

  • Thats the best way ive seen yet...Thanks

  • Great keep the tips up.!

  • Nice boar mount

  • dude i was wondering how to do that because everyone has those on there Mathews... the reason i use them is because they work and they slow your bow down only like 1 fps

  • Awesome. Will do as soon as my Pse Stinger arrives.

  • Great!I use strips of artificial leather, but am not sure whether they work actually or not :).

  • Great video man.
