The "Hope Rides Alone" tracks are already laden with distortion - which, while an awesome part of their tracks, doesn't lend itself well to, well, non-commercial-quality sound capture - just gets washed out.

So, tis a measure of their awesome that, even washed out as this sounds, it's still friggin' brilliant.

Recently got a hold of the entire rock opera. This is by far my favorite song. Those high notes really make it for me.
