hey can a 24"x18"x24" tank sustain a group of 3 D. laucomelas and 2 D. auratus? I checked and saw they are both fairly easy to mantain, small in size, and very easy to group but I want to make sure from someone whos done this hands one....
@carapar56 I personally have no experience of mixing species, but given the discussions I've read over the years about it, I would suggest that you start out with a single species for at least a year or so. Believe me, a single species is enough to keep you occupied until you've accumulated experience. About the size; it does sound a bit too small for two groups of frogs anyway.
@DansFishChannel The mantis died several months before I bought the frogs, I wouldn't risk putting them together. Even if they probably wouldn't harm each other, they would probably stress each other.
@arthurobregon08 You can use a lot of common house plants, try for example Fittonias, Peperomias and miniature ferns. Those plants will easily last for many years in the right type of environment.
I have two different substrates, one conventional mix of orchid bark, coco fiber and peat moss, and another more experimental clay-like type, made up of blended clays, iron oxide and some other stuff.
Nice tank, looks awesome, omegareptiles.blogspot.com

@ryan12381793 It already houses two Dendrobates tinctorius "Regina", they've been living there for just over a year now.

@ 1:10 what plant is it , nearest to the glass?
TheMartincreek 1 year ago
@TheMartincreek If you're thinking of the one climbing along the glass to the far left, it's a Ficus pumila.
