My fiance and I are serious WoW players. A lot of our WoW friends are RL friends, but many we haven't met. We have lots of guildies that we have talked and played with almost every day over the last year and a half... some even longer. It might be weird to invite them to the RL wedding so having a wedding in game is a nice substitute (and practice for the real thing). We are looking forward to having an in game wedding soon... so I don't think it is that weird.
