  • yeah, musads, he made a mistake by showing the African Americans when he was talking about food stamps. We should write him a letter.

  • Great video, but as an African American I resented the link with food stamps with our race. In truth most food stamps go to whites, and this is a well known fact.

  • Wow! I had no idea. Thanks for a great presentation!

  • I love the EWG and all the work they do!

  • Ken Cook for President of the United States

  • @tgifur2 I agree with you

  • Help stop Gmo's and not organicly groth of any kind.

Gee, I am trying really hard to believe that the world is not broken that the honey bees are around that creating bio fuel in Indonesia rainforests is not making it disappear.

I am really focusing in having clear clean skies and natural organic growth all over the world.

  • Ken I highly agree with what you expose, I just want to reinforce that people need to be more proactive, blame the Government is no the solution. What we can do is the real issue. Let's move the but and feel the satisfaction of make a difference in this amazing & democratic country before is to late. Is in our hands and minds where the change is based. Let's do it fellas

  • Ah this is a great presentation! Especially when you realize how many members of congress are receiving these benefits.

I am still waiting for someone to start a new fad: roto-till suburban front yards and plant a victory garden! Just think how much less pollution or run off from lawn chemicals that would save. Nevermind eating absolutely fresh vegetables without paying all those hiking transportation costs.

  • Ken Cook is an American hero!! We really owe him and the EWG so very much!!

  • It's even worse! 90% of all the billions of subsidies go to less than 10% of the farmers who like Dr Ace said are not even involved in real food production

  • @richter215, maybe you should listen to the video. Probably all those recipients in Manhattan are not doing any farming there. Also, 90% of these subsidies go to five crops that are not food for people: corn, cotton, wheat, soy beans, and rice. These are grown as commodity crops and fed to live stock or turned into processed foods.

If you really wanted to feed America, you would farm vegetables and some grain to be eaten whole. You would not continue funding commodity crop production.

  • Do you have any idea what the average input cost for the average american farmer is... do a little research...maybe you'll see why farmers get as much help as they do. and how are you supposed to make a farm bill into a food bill if you don't have the food to do it with. wheres the food gunna come from? or do you wanna start importing that too? heres an idea, the next time you see a farmer tell him thanks for feeding america.
