Thank you for your kindness and friendship..Love from Zuzanna xxx
man, you're killing me here with those beautiful pictures ... what a man !!! you know people like Ryan Reynolds etc. bore me after 5 minutes, but clark gable ... he really WAS the sex and the flow and the charisma. Truly the king of hollywood, I mean who could compete with that? he looks absolutely perfect to me
@jennifer1003 Hi Jennifer this was a great video but why was the song changed from Unforgettable? That one was so appropriate. He truly is/was unforgettable.
@Loubrockdorff I got it off his documemtary from the CG collection (it's on teh back of the movie San Fransico-called -Tall Dark & Handsome hope that helps! :)
WONDERFUL VIDEO! Hated the music though......Gable is my all time favorite actor. Tall dark and handsome = Clark Gable!!!! Manly, sexy, sophisticated, strong, confident.......need I go on??? Why couldn't his son be the SPITTING IMAGE of him???? The daughter that was kept secret I heard looks JUST like him though. Very sad that he died so young at the age of 59. And Vivien Leigh thought he had bad breath during the filming of GWTW and always complained about it, lol!!!!!!
Don't like the music. The singer strains, which Gable never did. His presence was huge, powerful and effortless onscreen. Also unique. Nobody like him, before or since.
@stevevandien I had origianlly Nat King Coles Unforgettable, but YT made me take it down, soo I had to change the song to one of YT's selections, I was really pissed, sorry you didnt like it....
@jennifer1003 I came down on you too hard -- please accept my apologies:). Nat Cole's "Unforgettable" would have been ideal; sorry YT wouldn't let you use it. Gable really was/is unforgettable. Sorry again -- best wishes and take care -- Steve
Their will never be the stars of yesterday like the ones we are looking at on ytube. I can name 10 stars right off the bat and can hardly name one so called star of today that shows that the old hoolywood stills rules.
@lazyisa He died of a heart attack on 11/16/1960, he smoked & drank too much over the years & finally caught up with him, but th his movie THe Misfits, is what really pushed him very hard, he died 10 days later after filming was complete. NO to Vivien Leigh thin..haha He had almosyt every woamn on MGM, but that one he missed...could u beleive it??? Hahaha
@jennifer1003 Gable may have already had a heart attack a decade before his death, but what with medical care being less adavanced in those days they couldn't be sure.
My mother loved Clark Gable and so do I. My father looked like him but not as tall, it was wonderful having physically beautiful parents, but they were more beautiful on the inside. I will always feel truly blessed.
I have watched all of Clark Gable's movies, in chronological order. He turned from bad (when the chemistry between the leading lady and him was absent) but sexy and beautiful, to awesome! I have never loved an actor as much as I love him! I have even been to Cadiz, Ohio to see the museum built for him.
No one could play the part of Rhett Butler in "Gone With The Wind" better than Clark Gable...he was perfectly cast for that role. He's one of the Hollywood greats!! To bad he died at a relatively young age shortly after completing "The Misfits" with Marilyn Monroe.
Clark Gable was Huge!!! nevermind his undeniable beauty charm, the man was made for the screen. From his facial expressions to his variations in the tone of voice, even when people don't understand english they can close their eyes and still know, just by hearing him, whether he's being sarcastic, incredulous, angry or plainly honest. You just don't find actors like these anymore. Watching him simply stupidizes me (if the word exists)
Thanks all for your great comments!! Originally I had "Unforgettable" By Nat King Cole, but had to change it due to copyright issues. Hope this is ok. I think Im gonna have to make a new one soon!!

Hey, don't get sucked into the curious world of ObamaRules4Ever. He's a twisted teenager who scours the internet and leaves the same confrontational messages in an attempt to be as obnoxious as possible. He's littered youtube with obscenities aimed at A-Listers like Gary Cooper, Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn, James Stewart, etc, because that will illicit the biggest response.

I have never seen "The Barrets of Wimpole Street" but I am sure it is good. I think Gable got cheated in 1939 he should have won for Gone with the Wind. But Robert Donat won for "Good Bye Mr. Chips"
This is for obamarules4ever: Ok so maybe he did, he is still a good actor, if you can get past all that. I also know that all of the wives he married before Carole Lombard alos furthered his career.
That comment is inappropriate for a web site like this and vulgar. What's more how do you know he did? Do you have any facts to back that statement up?
What a video, thanks for the beautiful tribute, it could not have been done any better. Great pictures and Nat King Cole has an awesome voice. He was not only a good actor but a beautiful person as well.
I can't remember what I was on about last time I commentated but I must say that Clark Gable seems to have been one of the few human beings in this world who just "lived" - really "lived" as one is meant to live and loved (Carol Lumbard) and it really makes me sick that she died in a plane crash - if people like that can't be happy who can?
jennifer1003 I posted my comments please get back to me I would like very much to have a copy, incase you did not see my comments what a wonderful tribute to a real man's man.
You also obviously know very little about Classic Hollywood (except that is from the 4 or 5 bits of gossip-laden biography you keep continually posting about your most hated stars). Otherwise you'd never be so lame as to compare Flynn with Gable as they actually have very little in common when it comes to the type of roles they played. No doubt you assume they can be compared because they both have moustaches - which is about the level I suspect your critical and analytical facilities to to at.
Then go to an Errol Flynn clip and praise him on it. One of your problems (and you have many many problems) is that you can only ever say negative things. How sad that I've never once come across a comment of yours about something you actually liked. You just spend all your time on Youtube trawling through clips of people you hate in them so you can leave your comments. That's sad.
Today is Mr. Gables 111th B-day!:)

These screen stars, they are canvas icons.
The celluloid is the canvas and they knew it.
Bless their hearts.
There is the difference, the canvas and the celluloid, the non-celluloid.
The movie star moves and talks and is timeless.
It's more profound because they are before any creation fully alive.

This is for obamarules4ever: Ok so maybe he did, he is still a good actor, if you can get past all that. I also know that all of the wives he married before Carole Lombard alos furthered his career.

To everyone posting comments on this website. Knock off the vulgarity!!! Where are manners these days?
annamay29 3 years ago
Couldn't agree more, annmay29. The aggressive language and complete lack of respect by some people on this forum is an absolute disgrace.
One hopes that they expire and vanish into the cybervoid.

That comment is inappropriate for a web site like this and vulgar. What's more how do you know he did? Do you have any facts to back that statement up?

I can't remember what I was on about last time I commentated but I must say that Clark Gable seems to have been one of the few human beings in this world who just "lived" - really "lived" as one is meant to live and loved (Carol Lumbard) and it really makes me sick that she died in a plane crash - if people like that can't be happy who can?

That's sad.

Clark Gable is one of the all time greatest. One of the greatest most charming actors ever. A man I truly admire.

Only no brains brainless dipshits like you would repeat back to me what i called you. you no brain fruitcake.
mfan0825 3 years ago 2
Errol Flynn and him are equally great. First you'll praise Errol now and next time you'll be trashing him. You have mental problems.

just watched "boom town"... great actor.
