  • I still have this game, haven't played it in over a decade, but I have the discs if the urge ever strikes me again, although I doubt it would play very nice with Windows 7 64-bit LOL

  • Well this is interesting...

    ...naw I'm kidding I'm out.

  • I totally had this game. It was pretty fun. Haven't thought about it in years

  • How come Q is so cool. What I wouldn't give to have this game. Unfortunately I simply can't get it.

  • to cool

  • Those are Intrepid Class sets

  • sheit... if the borg wanted to take over humanity it could. just send like 5 cubes there and theres no stopping them

  • when was this made? because they are the voyager sets

  • @kd84afc

    1996

  • @Usul573 thanks mate

  • which series is this ? i dont know it

  • at 3:06 looks like Icheb in late 20's or early 30's.

  • WAIT A MINUTE.....That's not my hand packing!!!??? I'M BLACK! That can't be me. LOL!

  • I like that HOT little Asian officer that winked at me! I must have had personal time in her quarters....(I know, I'm a dork).

  • This is a good video like Cloverfield, Qualentine and District 9.

  • DeLancie is always awesome as Q, I understand his grief but I have to wonder why Furlong wants revenge on the Borg for killing his father. That's like wanting revenge against bees because a bee stung your father once. They're the Borg, there's no malicious intent with what they do, in fact, THEY think that by assimilating you, they're doing you a favor.

  • @KevServo put yourself in his shoes then. Your father was vaporised by the Borg when you were around 10. A man you loved and respected and wanted to be like (because of the picture on the wall I am assuming this). A constant reminder every year for every birthday and remembrance for wolf 359 that your Dad is not there and the Borg are to blame. So what do you do strive to enter starfleet be the man your father wanted to be and you get a chance now. So you ask to stay on and are denied so angry.

  • @horusrage Then I would have absolutely the entirely wrong mindset for Starfleet.

  • @KevServo come on its only on this subject you are off all Captains had some kind of personality fault. Picard is fastidious. Kirk was a Womanizer and obsessed with the right thing (as he saw it). Sisko had his moments as did Janeway and Archer. Just because one aspect is like that does not undercut the full person to starfleet. In this case you could say it has made the cadet driven and determined. Both good stand point for starfleet. Also they are not supposed to be perfect despite appearance.

  • @KevServo After reading the last part I can see your point and it's a sharp point too.

The Borg are programmed to think theyare doing a favor and were once people.

  • to defend against the latest borg to defend against the latest borg

  • @happyking9 Why the same line twice?

  • @YTMrVulcan

Because it's in the video like that :d

  • @happyking9 You're right! It happens @1:18. Next time you show a quote like that, maybe you should mention the reason for it.

  • @YTMrVulcan

I expect people to watch the video before posting stuff.

    lol

  • @happyking9 Point taken, but it's still clearer if you include the reference to that point in the video.

  • @YTMrVulcan

    Agreed

  • I wonder how did they get those shoulder shots, I mean point of view shots, and have them leveled with the actors, did someone wear a camera rig that allowed for free use of hands and arms and legs, while was light in weight and small and carried film magazines and stock?

  • They use a stedicam. It's a wearable vest that has a spring-resist arm. So the camera floats along with someone while the walk. Then they just slap in a tape and a battery and they can go for 60 minutes before having to change tapes and 3 hours before tape or so.

  • great game

  • Q is funny XD he is very bored XD

  • I miss this game...it was so much fun

  • i wish i had the game

  • Klingon rules!

  • haha was gunna mention that.

  • this is really good.

  • Apparently Bjorn Borg was genuinely upset when he found out that his name was being used by the Star Trek makers.

He received copyright legal advice for the use of his name. Seems silly I know.

But the designers of this Star Trek episode originally had the Borg as blond haired and blonde bearded enemy wearing (believe it or not) a sweatband.

It was changed only 2 weeks before filming began.

  • @GeronimoPavarotti Bjorn was silly even for trying to persue this, I am also a Borg by family name and I have always considered it an honor to have My family name associated with a species foriegn or domestic.

  • It's a Joke @ Q. He has change the uniform ;-)

  • wrong the set that you see is not from voyager

  • its a galaxy class starship this does not mean that it is on the Enterprise

  • true =) The Odyssey was also galaxy class wasn't it?

  • Plus Galaxy and Yamamoto and York Town where at the same ship yard as the Enterprise - D

First to leave the ship yard was the Galaxy then York Town and then Enterprise and then the Yamamoto - the Odessey wa sonly in the fitting stage and left a year or two later from the ship yards.

    Signed ADF1.

  • Does this game use Quicktime for the movies? If so, it probably needs ONLY the version it came with, this may be some of the compatibility problem?

  • I remember when this came out in like 1996 or so - I wanted so desperately to buy it, except I really didn't have a computer to run it on at the time.

  • Ah,simple solution, buy it and wait until you eventually upgrade to a better system

  • The problem with that idea was that Star Borg was VERY OS specific in both the Mac and Windows versions. Try to run it on anything but Windows 95 or System 7.5 (Mac) and you had problems and the newer the OS the more problems you had. Bad interface and even worse programing hampered what was a good game.

  • ah that's too bad, looks like an interesting game. I know I've seen it in the past at Frys Electronics in a beat up box but I never had an interest in buying it

  • I could never even play it when I upgraded to Windows 98.

  • My ability to play the game varied wildly as I upgraded the MacOS. It wouldn't work on 8.1 or 8.5 but did work on 8.6 and worked erratically on 9.0 and 9.1 (game wouldn't recognize the requested disk change or would simply freeze at that point. Haven't seen a computer game this badly programmed since Dragon Lair on the Mac--that would only would run on the 68020 CPUs. Programming For Dummies? Try Programming BY Dummies.

  • I bought it and think I got through about 1/2 of it and my (then) cutting edge computer kept freezing or erroring. Never knew how it ended other than the disc being tossed into my trash lol

  • Q's a dick haha

  • I'd do her, do her, do her, do her....oh hey Q, what's up?

  • why didn't they make this interactive with YouTubes annotations.. where you have to click one of the options and you get to see the result of that option by clicking on it it be perfect.. I did see blooper like vidoes so they did have the option of doing it

  • I know, I'm a nerd, but:

    1. In 2377 they should wear the "TNG movies / later DS9"-style uniforms.

    2. In 2367 they should wear the earlier, "TNG season 3-7"-style uniforms.

  • Q its short for Q.

  • The yellow shirt doing all the talking at the start of the meeting is "Jenny" from "The Muppets Take Manhatten".

I've never seen her in anything, besides that Muppet movie.

  • she was also in tommy boy as tommy's girlfriend and in doc hollywood in which she plays michael j fox's girlfriend AND shows us her magnificent breasts in a nude swim scene

  • Thanks, I just looked up that scene. Holy crap, didn't know about it!

  • lol, got this for the ol' windows 95 when I was a kid. It was basically one big cutscene with occasional point-and-click choices that affected the outcome. Not a bad game, but a wonderful way to screw up the canon...

  • Wait, why is Q telling you that it's his fault that the Borg killed your father? Shouldn't you be mad at Q and not the Borg? Also, does your character ever talk in the game instead of remaining silent?

  • im just here for q

  • The war room of the principle office from ReBoot looks like the USS Enterprise-D bridge.

  • If I were a rich person I'd make a big as mansion and the inside would look just like the inside of the Enterprise. I would love that.

  • If you knew how to read you would see I said if I were rich you PriusRiding moron.

  • You must be the real sunshine of the family...

  • if i had the moneey id make mine look like a borg cube in the basement

  • ps i fogot to say

the choice IS yours you can auactley say you want to go home and you get game over

  • btw this is like one of thoes super leathel coyas that kill you like eavry move and makes you do stupid shit

  • Can you download or buy this game anywhere?

  • some have been sold on ebay. I have one but it only works with windows 95 unless you now how to alter the borg patch

  • She cannot become in command she out rank byy the red

  • The red are command division, the colors denote specialties, not rank. She can outrank them.

  • Officers in the US army could design their own uniforms, at least in the early 20th century. Each military command can determine the uniform type worn. Duty Officer posts a daily memo saying summer uniform or whatever.

Plus its star trek, Don't get too into it....

  • That would explain that and the uniform-changes during Star Trek VII, actually, but, eh, I dunno. I think the guys preparing the props and all were just sorta lazy about it. xD;

  • i totally agree Geraldrobotnik! i thought that straight away :-)

  • This is pretty strange... on a 2377-Galaxy-class ship, why do the corridors look like on an Intrepid-Class, and why do they all wear TNG-style uniforms when they started wearin' those gray uniforms at least since 2373?

  • most of the sets where reused from various trek shows for budget reasons i think.

  • Yeah... but still, for the sake of continuity, they coulda at least re-used the TNG-sets instead.

  • Sadly a lot of the TNG sets were destroyed after filming wrapped on Generations (in fact they pretty much destroyed the bridge set at the end of the movie for that reason). The few sets that remained were reused with modifications on Voyager.

  • Hm, that'd explain why the Enterprise-D interior looks somewhat different on "These Are the Voyages", or why ya never see the bridge on La Forge's ship in that alternate future timeline. :(

  • As far as I can tell, the Enterprise-E sets remain in storage somewhere along with the Defiant sets. The rest of the DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise sets were also scrapped at the end of their respective productions.

  • Well, that at least would explain why we didn't see Admiral Janeway speaking from Voyager, at least, though it kinda killed the whole "what happened after Endgame" effect, too... xD;

  • whats the name of that brunette woman giving the orders? I ve played this game before but i cant remember who she is or who plays her.

  • That's Lieutenant Shoreham, played by Juli Donald. :3

  • I'd rather watch Bill Shatner sing 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' a hundred times than play this kind of game.

  • The Battle at Wolf 359 was 2367, so "ten years ago" means Star Trek Borg plays 2377 (this first scene) so why in the hell are they wearing the TNG style uniforms?!

  • in voyager and deep space nine towards the end when they went to earth (or in voyagers case, species 8472's dome) all different forms of uniforms were used. from early TNG to nemesis. it depends on your branch in starfleet.

  • yeah that would be my guess as well...on the branch thing.

because in Voyager's last episode endgame, you saw Admiral Paris and the rest of his crew dressed in the nemesis style uniform, IMO I would say that the nemesis uniform was a special type of combat uniform while the TNG style uniform was a sort of exploration/science type specialty uniform

  • I believe the "nemesis style" uniforms were introduced in ST: First Contact, and later you saw them worn in DS9. Since this game was released in 1996 that's why they're wearing TNG uniforms.

  • starfleet changes uniforms every 10 years or less. did you see Star Trek Countdown, prequel comic for new movie set 8 years after nemesis, well they have new uniforms again :)

  • I didn't know about that, i'll have to check it out to see what the new uniforms look like.

  • Heh--Less than that. Look at the time-span from the TOS uniforms to TMP 'pahamas' to the tunic-and-jacket of the rest of the TOS movies. :-)

  • but its not just that, when they go ten years ago everyones wearing DS9 uniforms with the purple shirt and the tunic

  • Ok. I have had the game for a very long time. In fact I got it and Star Trek Klingon at the same time. Star Trek Klingon was very slow and chopy with my old computer many many years ago. and Borg never worked. When we finaly got a much better computer, Borg still did not work. Only cause it did not have Windos 95. And still the problem now. Is there anyway around this problem?

  • yea there is patch for xp, just type than in google....

can you upload videos from st klingon

  • Thank you so much for replying. I currently have Vista. Sorry that I did not say that in my comment. Do you know if that patch will work for Vista as well?

  • that I dont know, sorry

  • @ecolover21 you should try virtualization in windows 7

  • where can i get this game videos?

  • hey did you know that their is a game called spore that has this creature called the groz but they are based of the borg that is how I saw this in the first place from the grox look

    grox speld backwards

borg exept insted of b their is a X but they act the same

  • I didnt know that. I will have to check that game out.

  • I'd like to cut that lesbians throat open at 01:00.

Good game though. From a time when Star Trek media was flooding the market, before it all dried up.

  • this is one of the best trek games ever, I wish they made them like this again they were so cool.

  • wow... THIS IS A GAME?! wtf... I had no idea, still though... I'm loving it already!

  • This is the first Star Trek Las Vegas show in

1996 when they had the 30th Anniversary.

  • woah

  • I REALLY liked this game, even though a few of the scenes were a little 'buggy' due to the controls...

    Thanks for posting it!

  • something I didn't understand: why did the man in the message say "do not, repeat, do not send help"? or did I miss something?

  • If their being assimilated, they don't want other ships to suffer the same fate. Their trying to warn starfleet ot prepare to defend earth and didn't want them to misunderstand and think they were asking for reinforcements.

  • thanks man

  • The Borg are my favorite villan.

  • Great post...I used to have this game; really fun! Some points in the game were super difficult because of the controls being unresponsive.

  • Hey, I used to have this game!

  • what game is this?

  • this is the PC-Game (old)(1995 or 1996) "Star Trek:Borg"

  • ever tried the klingon game which taught you how to speak klingon?

  • thats like trying to understand Vulcan - only in reverse.

  • where can i get this? dose it work on XP

  • Klingon, same type of game, did not. So I doubt it. It's just to old.

  • I have both of the games. Klingon does not work whatsoever on XP, Borg works fine but you have to change the compatibility.

  • i love the uss enterprise

  • cool cool

  • i got unil it gives you the desion to kill the borg or the girl neither saved the ship

    :(

  • aaah shoot the comput thing bekind the borg, since he's connected to it it will shock him :D

  • wow I almost beat this game until the butten sequence thing in the borg cube, I was about eight.

  • all your base are belong to us!

  • Wow nostalgia.....

  • I loved this game! - Shame it kep crashing on me and I never got to the end!

  • what game was this?????

  • Star Trek Borg - Think it came out in 1999 or 2000.

  • 1996 actually

  • Well I did say think.....Gosh is it that old? I sweqar I still payed 40 quid in 2000!

  • Yeah...it came out in the US around the same time as Star Trek: First Contact.

  • No its an interactive movie game... I beat it so many times.. I love star trek.. heh i wanna get the whole star trek tng collector's set which is like 400$ i love that show... Data and Picard are my favorite characters... Riker errm he is okay he reminds me of Cpt Kirk a little bit..

  • I wish they had done the interface a little better there are time when if you get the time you go over the same thing again, again, and again.

  • Haha! Hows it feel to be put in your place after being a dick? Lol as if I'd lie about something like that. Who's the moron now?

    P.S - Shut up fool!

  • This was like actually being in an episode of star trek. It was awesome.

  • It was also hard as hell to figure out, lol.

  • I know were the officer asks witch hand the comm badge is in

  • awesome

  • that chick in the gold uniform who was at the meeting is hot.

  • I got horribly stuck at one point, never could figure it out, stopped playing.

  • Man, I never knew Q was such an A-hole

  • thats what makes him fun ^_^

  • True

  • What's the name of the Galaxy class starship?

  • @Captainhunt: it's called Enterprise

  • That was some seriously bad acting.

  • Q: wheres my sphaggeti?

  • Watch my: "The Picard Song With Lyrics"

Nice video by the way, 5 stars ;)

  • Loved the game but got repetitive alot but it still rules.. To bad i dont got a mac ide be playing it now..

  • Not if you had an Intel mac. The program required the Classic interface which doesn't work on the Intel Macs.

  • I only have a compaq presario windows xp 512MB RAM 448MHz lol i wish i could download this game for windows xp =( I remember i use to play this game alot Q got annoying but it was a good game!

  • Vaporized,VAPORIZED,poof!

  • Get more up please i know these were put up a long time ago and was taken down.

  • i feel osrry for the guy

  • MORE!!!!

  • God, I loved this game. This and Star Trek: Klingon.

  • That was one of the most annoying and frustrating games I ever played.. Each time you screwed up, you had to listen to Q for 20 seconds saying the same stuff over and over.. I love Q though, and I loved TNG.

  • Nearly every review I read said the same thing--the interface for this game was really poorly thought out which made playing the game frustrating more than enjoyable.

  • it was a good game. Annoying at times, but good.

  • OMG! How did you come up with THIS?? BRILLIANT!

  • He didn't. This was an interactive PC game that was released back in '95.

  • Cool. More please.
