Thanks ! but in fact I using my Strat deluxe + Mesa-boogie Rect-o-Verb and that is it nothing else.. the reverb is from the amp. and the distorted tone is the second channel on my amp (mesa foot switch)

The difference in SRV's version and Jimi's version is first off SRv's is longer. Just an instrumental. Jimi's version has the vocals with it and it's shorter. Not much soloing in it. I like SRV's version better because it's longer and one of the best Guitar Instrumentals ever. That's just my opinion.
