James Roday has claimed that he changed his "last name from Rodriguez because it would open more channels for him so that he could play hispanic and caucasian characters." It's sad that racism is prevalent in the film industry but it happens. I say that he was smart to change his last name especially since, he really doesn't look half hispanic. Either way, He is amazing and gorgeous and hilarious as Shawn Spencer! and gotta say, slightly jealous of Maggie. ;p
