kinda cheap but there will always be an op gun in a fps. the famas just tends to be that gun. the m16a3 can easily counteract this because of its on par fire rate lowish recoil for those used to it and its incredibly fast reload. find ways to counteract the famas kids don't just bitch and moan saying its overpowered...they could have just as easily made an obviously overpowered gun that can kill in two shots *cough* type95 in mw3 *cough*

In bf3, weapons aren't really cheap. the FAMAS is very powerfull, but when you look at the kit you get it in, and what it's job is within a team, it's just a way for that team to be more effective as a whole: You'd be silly if you didn't use this weapon because you feel it would be cheap.

@Sniperfire24 i personally prefer the f2000 as its more accurate than the famas, but the rpm on the famas is far greater therefore it has a bigger recoil (which i find very annoying) , so if you like close combat (such as team death match) i would recommend the famas but for mid to long range fights the f2000 is the perfect weapon of choice ( for conquest and rush game modes). I suggest if you choose the f2000 it would be best to add a holographic sight or a a-cog sight with a fore grip.

You make the M416 being average sound like a bad thing! It has good damage, decent rpm and good accuracy. Instead of calling it average id say it was more jack of all trades good at both close and long range. The best at nothing but ok at everything.

My problem with the famas is that it's high recoil can be countered by using the grip and suppressor. The base version of the gun is unusable at range because it skips from side to side so much. If Dice took away the grip for this weapon I believe it would be perfectly balanced.

Though the side kick numbers are the same, which means that it practically goes straight up, It does wobble back and forth a little bit, and isn't accurate enough for me. I use the AN-94 (317 kills so far) the majority of the time because it's extremely accurate and can take down people quite easily at long ranges (esp. because I play hardcore) and is pretty decent in close range (I've beaten people with the F2000 or Famas in close range).
