Ok guys, to all the people that think bure demanded a trade, you're wrong. It was all the workings of Pat Quinn. He told him scoring 60 goals was a fluke and he would have to do it again. He was getting about half a million dollars salary so of course he wanted more. He didnt get his salary for a long time and had to lost allot of money. He did not HATE vancouver, more of the management. There were allot of misconceptions and things were handled badly with him. Canucks lost the best player ever.

it was a different kind of hockey then. Gretzky would never be able to put up the kind of numbers in todays NHL like the way he did 20 years ago. The defense have gotten faster, and goalies have gotten better. Ovechkin is certainly the best all around play i have ever seen, but Bure would beat him with speed and stick handling any day.

I agree...i always tell the kids at school that Ovechkin is exciting, but not as much as Bure was.......i've been watching hockey (lots of it) for 35 years, and no one i've seen even comes close to being as exciting as the RUssian rocket. Oh, and that first hilite was Bure's first game in Vancouver - I was there......when he went down the ice the whole crowd got up (which says something for Vancouver fans)...... he didn't score, but we knew we had something there. He should be in the Hall.

Guys - the first clip you see here in this video is from Pavel first NHL game and its the first time he touches the puck - take a look at it...has there ever been a hockeyplayer skating that fast and go end to end????? If you ask the people who was there that night they will tell you no. I cant belive it - i guess he would have done the fastest skating contest in probably 8 second. Man i miss Pavel Bure - one of the best ever and a future hall of fame. By far the most exiting player ever!!!!!!!
