Thanks a million. Has anybody here any idea of how to get a copy of "The Seven Nights of the Soul", apparently a book, that, apparently (I may be wrong), saw only 30 copies. I once had the rare luck of seeing a copy (with an acquaintance, that I met) and reading a few pages. Would love to have a copy and read it.
I wonder what Jung would say about today's world of zipping ufo's and a WTC/911 falling down like it was made of pancake batter. And a world swallowing amazing stories whole, right off the tv set. A world being collapsed, stripped of money, it's technology confiscated, people hemmed in with strange laws.
@IExposeMormonism Jung's last essay written before his death was on ufo's, I don't think he ever finished it but it has been published somewhere in his collected works. I've never read it myself but if you're interested it might be worth checking out.
@QuantumLeap365 I have Jung's UFO essay. He prevaricates and dances around the issue of "are they real" and, to me, speaks ambiguously. He seems to believe or at least says they are archetypes, a kind of hallucination: Jung and a friend were in a (church?) looking at a painting. Later Jung returned and spoke to X about the art. It had Never been there. They both saw the same thing, had a discussion on it. Jung seems to be saying that's what UFO"s are. An unconscious agreement to see something
One must be aware of not identifying with and/or making Jung a hero. The man in his brilliance had his flaws, obviously, but it seems that people will never want to accept that every man has a shadow. Jung also had his. This goes back to his critics as well,...it's as if the man must be taken seriously only if the man is a saint, but this is an idiocy.
@repollomax316 Whoever disliked it was most likely not even conscious of the fact, The idea was so controversial to the false reality he created that he simply could not accept it, lets hope he has taken time to revisit this idea.
A man is not complete if he is not conscious of the images that formulate archetypes ..
The foolish allow themselves to be infatuated by literal interpretations and recipes, and fall into error. When reading literature, one must not be content with just one book, but must possess many books, for, " one book opens another " . C.J.
Neutralizing unconscious contents requires an acceptance there are " two " which exist within the psyche of each individual .. and if the unconscious is not addressed with some respect the figures can become quite troubling to an individual . It is best to " look " at the material coming from the unconscious for full computation .

Jung has truly understood the human condition, i disagree with him when it comes to pre-destiny.
