  • 4 people from sussex were visited from the tod

  • i normally cringe at failed english accents (i live here btw) but the janitor totally killed it. great effort dr rotinaj!

  • Comment removed

  • That was the best & most hilarious stereotypical British accent I have ever heard!

  • In all fairness that wasn't a bad shot at our accent considering how strange it actual must be to hear. When I go to the U.S I'm going to soak up as much attention as my accent brings, just for the laughs and banter.

My only decent American accent is a sort of southern American black guy, like Reginald D Hunter. It makes everything quite funny for some reason.

  • im a 19 year old living just outside sussex and ive never noticed or laughed at the 'sex' part of sussex - not anymore! :DDD

  • big up sussex!!!

  • it would be epic if the Janitor could do a brummy or a cockney accent :D

  • how did they transfer it in the German dubbing, does anyone know?

  • press 6 for age of empires janitor. wololo

  • Sussex :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D::D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

  • Not knowing the difference between you're and your...I always knew british people are dumb.

  • WOOH! I'm from sussex. xD

    ':/ How perfectly vulgar...' lol

  • but...they only went up high once :(

  • @101Amystar I hate it when people say like also (and I'm from Sunny C.A. so its worse Dx)

  • btw N64isgreat no-one not even the queen speaks like the janitor.

  • Comment removed

  • @101Amystar Isn't that the point of the joke? That the janitor is mimicking a stereotypical 'posh' accent? I don't think he genuinely believes this is what English people sound like.

  • @pokupokupoku yh i suppose so, and i rate funny.

  • @101Amystar Those are two really bad generalizations. I don't know even one person who thinks anyone from Great Britain speaks in such a posh accent. We just tend to make fun of how ridiculous posh people sound (hence the joke here), and considering the old monarchy/bad movies, we dubbed a posh accent English, even though we don't actually think you all speak that way. (What is the point of saying something offensive and then saying "no offense" if you are aware that you have offended someone?)

  • @unheardthoughts1 ok, i see your point and i was really grumpy when i wrote that.

  • only english people from the 50's or something (like my dad) say things like "how perfectly vulgar." and he did say sample wrong and he also said tod wrong.

  • @Razza848 so did your mum

  • @Corkey45 Wow.

  • @Razza848 get over it it's supposed to be stereotypical you dumbfuck!

  • I can confirm that EVERYONE in England talks just like this.

  • @N64isgreat i can confirm that ONLY the QUEEN speaks like that

  • @jtame1993 Yeah, if the Queen was an american man doing a silly voice

  • @jtame1993 Not even the queen speaks like this.

  • he said "sample" wrong.

  • thumbs up if you noticed he only got high fived once

  • thumbs up for only 1 high five

  • That was the most upper of upper class accents. Off the scale poshness. I don't think I've met anyone who speaks like that.

  • The accent is actually very good. It is typical for middle to upper class people.

  • @SisterLillith yep. coming from a londoner i'd say ur just off. im middle class and i talk nothing like that.

  • @nitrodudezoom Of course, the accents are specific to certain areas, and it has been over-exaggerated because that is simply the stereotype of the British. I do agree with you, however. :)

  • Oh, my God everytime any of my friends I watch this we burst out laughing and say: "SPIFFING! JOLLY GOOD SHOW! WE'RE BRITISH SO WE CIRRY ON!!!!" x

  • I'm from West SusSEX, told my mate about this and we high fived. In the pub, with a pint of ale and each wearing a monacle. Chocks away, spliffing good show old chap.

  • I shall now partake in the trend that is using a certain acronym I believe you Yanks so oft proclaim on the interweb and proudly state (if you don't mind that is):

    Sussex FTW.

    Good day to you all.

  • I'm from Britain and I can tell you now ... I haven't heard any British person say 'how perfectly vulgar' ever ... unless we're taking the piss out of ourselves! :D

  • Could someone upload the clip where he says "Gd'evening, govena" and JD continues walking then turns around and the Janitor goes "Oh what's up your bum?" it is a funny scene from this episode.

  • Yeah, i suggest you come to Essex, sure as hell don't talk like that. If you did you'd be stabbed real quick. Weird how the English have been given such a shit stereotype but if you actually come here you'd probably shit your pants in EAST London.

  • @iCoostard I've always wondered at the way the British are almost able to tell what neighborhood someone comes from, depending on their accent. I once read a story about a professional piercing/tattoo artist who refused to pierce a girl's nipple because of her accent. She was 18 but he could tell she went to a hoity-toity school and might have a father or other interested party come hit him with a lawsuit. One of those Ruth Rendell mysteries.

  • @MsLogjam interesting...I'm British, and I've never really thought about it before, but we DO have a lot of different accents. Maybe it's just from living here, but there are subtle differences in accent even between different cities. Liverpool, Manchester, Yorkshire and Newcastle are all in the Northern part of England, and yet each one has a distinguishable accent. I don't know if it's the same everywhere or we're just weird like that though XD

  • pfft all about hampshire

  • I come from sussex :)

  • omg the worlds gonna end now

  • 3 people dont like an american high five.

  • thunbs up if your british =)

  • @EdNewey654 Thumbs up if you can successfully use the correct ''you're'' (Learn the language you're speaking.)

  • @iCoostard i wish i could thumb this up, but the gulit would destory me =D

  • @EdNewey654 Yeah, the spelling in your last comment really made my view on your English skill, much worse...

  • @EdNewey654

    I wish I was British =(

  • @EdNewey654 I wish I was British...

  • Thumbs up if you know "your" from "you're"...

  • 66,666 views very nice... how perfectly vulgar

  • Comment removed

  • brits don't talk like that.. but i'll let it go because the janitor is just hilarious XD

  • @HexxedQuilll I was gonna say something along those lines (Being a brit) but you nailed it!

  • @HexxedQuilll yea, i think thats kind of the point

  • @HexxedQuilll The fact that Brits do't actually talk like that is part of the joke. It's what makes it so funny.

  • @LibertineDeSade Yep, thats what I meant

  • OMFG! I LIVE IN SUSSEX! HELL YEAH! (high five)

  • @RosyCheeksOfMerlot How perfectly vulgar.

  • You think the janitor is what, WHAT, WHAT. Tell me. SOMEBODY TELL MEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

  • @TrebinJenkis Pretending to be british.. is what JD says

  • the Janitor sounds like Steven Fry in this clip

  • He says 'sample' wrongly.

  • lol im from west sussex :)

  • Sussex has Brighton, the gay capital of the UK; The Todd would fit in well there.

  • @zm177

    He's not gay.

  • @BryanBeatsYouAll, the character is.

  • @zm177

No, no he isn't. He likes boobies very much.

  • @BryanBeatsYouAll

He's bisexual, if you guys would watch the show more.

  • @ArloHasPie Actually he is The Todd.

  • @zm177

awesome, is there a gay capital of every place?

  • @zm177 Not true, the only place he belongs is Toddland, because he's not gay... or straight... or bi... He's the Todd.

  • I'm English and I gotta say, I LOVE THIS. XD

  • yes because all people from sussex talk like the queen xD

  • God, you have to love stereotypical voices, i mean who doesn't?

  • Essex and Middlesex must have been feeling left out :)

  • @cmfl53 Haha nahhh, I'm from Essex and I must say... I think you should be more worried about Kent :S

  • we dont sound like that

  • @rendelltron

thats right you sound even more funny than that. the whole world laughs about your accent.

  • @Jigga200789 You're an ass

  • IM FROM FUCKING SUSSEX!!

  • @mattgoodley im from west surrey and surrounded by sussex and to be honest to really bother me

  • Baaad imitation of an english accent, but the Janitor makes it so hilarious I don't care/ :D

  • SusSEX!!!!!

  • WTF IS A TEA BUN?

    i am British btw

  • @fairyheli2 its like a tea biscuit but ITS A BUN! D: AMGAD i have never seen any1 here in uk hav buns with tea. sammich and tea more like

  • @fairyheli2 I was going to ask the same thing ! I did hear though that a scone is a stale biscuit that wants to be a doughnut. Not sure if that's true !!

  • @fairyheli2

Well.. Its like... A bun... that you have for tea... I thought that was obvious?

  • @fairyheli2 its pretty much a " Tea Cake" (a cob with raisen's in it) :)

  • The janitor the best part of that show, hes like scrubs version of Kramer, odd ball, but cool.

  • Bad british accent.... Hilariously funny tho!

  • hahah Janitor's great,his accent is too

  • i Am from suusex

  • AHHAHAAHAHHAAHAHA........sex.

  • wtf, I get rated down for being from Sussex??

    racist bastards.

  • @fairyheli2 Sussex isn't a race -_-

  • the janitor is fricking awesome XD

"Oh, an American high-five *high-fives Todd" how perfectly vulgar" XD

  • WOOOW, an american hi5!

  • ha ha janitor is the best

  • EAST SUSSEX, its a complete dump but you gotta love it :D

  • im from sussex! waaay.

  • Haha! Love it.

  • omg love it love scrubs wish i could do that

  • my mum was born in Sussex! People have a seroius misconception of our accent lmao

  • what season/episode is this?

  • "oh, an american high five."

    "How perfectly vulgar."

  • The janitor is obviously doing an exaggerated joke accent.

Its a little sad that Americans can appreciate Europeans doing an American accent, but whenever an Americans try a European one people give them crap. It's not like America doesn't have any vocal variety.

  • If it's any consolation I hate English people doing American accents and vice versa.

I really liked The Janitors accent though!

  • Well in all fairness the majority of Americans I've heard doing British sound REALLY fake. IDC that they're doing an accent from a specific part, I just hate it when it sounds like shit bleeding out of my speakers.

  • Oh yes you do!

  • I used to live in East Sussex. Beautiful down there.

  • I'm guessing you've never been to Brighton then... Haha!

  • Sussex!!!!!

I Know People Who Speak Like This

  • LOL, the janitor sounds like Niles Frasier in the begin!!

  • i live in west sussex

  • Im from Essex!! Close enough.

  • HAA! XD

  • "Oooh an american high five..." *smack* "...how perfectly vulgar."

  • better than the awful over used cockney accent

  • Well i don't no anyone in england who speaks like tht maybe 2 hundred years ago

  • pretty good actually. Dunno what a tea bun is though

  • "how perfectly vulger". XD

  • ROFL....it's so funny when a lot of americans try to put on a british accent they end up either doing the cockney london accent or a mish mash between australian and the queens posh accent

  • "Oooooohh AN AMERICAN HIGH FIVE!!!!!" I love that part!

  • haha, england would be more fun if we actually talked like that (:

  • Middlesex is so much better than sussex though :P

Ugh I hate the american idea of an English accent. People thought I was either Scottish or Australian because I didn't speak either like Prince Charles or Michael Caine

  • That sounds so funny... but thats probably because it comes out of the Janitors mouth.

  • What's a tea bun?

  • Honestly, what do you think? It's a bun you have with tea :P

  • Yeah, but I can't work out what it is...

  • It's a bun. Like...a scone-y sort of bun.

  • hey hey I've been to Sussex university!

  • But does anyone here still have the accent or know any of the old dialect??? apprently i got a a tinge of the first and i know some of the the old dialect eg Hindsideafor (wrong way round) a feel abit swimmy (feel ill)

  • i'm from Sussex 2!!!

    West Sussex!!

  • same

  • Woo! I'm from Sussex!!

  • Sussex University Rocks!!!!

  • Brap! From Brighton, Sussex.

  • brap is a very annoying word =P

  • Haha, it's why I use it :P

    Brap!

  • Hey I'm from sussex, good old sussex by the sea.

  • Love it, wish I knew what JD was saying though.

  • paraphrasing here, "i think the janitor's trying to pass as english"

  • lol im not complaining because its funny, but why do people make us have either posh or cockney accents? xDD

  • american steriotype dude, i hate it

its like saying all french ppl smell

    i think its just racist

    =P

  • all french people do smell though.

  • someone make a video of when janitor says whats up ure bum in the funny accent to JD

  • Well I don't understand what the janitor's saying (at least it sounds veeery funny^^) and I love how the Todd's saying : "One's for buns, one's for sex-part of sussex.CMOON!!^^"

  • He says oh todd you simply must sample one of these tea buns my mum sent over from sussex.

  • ah man!...this is sooo jokes!!! just a shame no one speaks like this anymore :b

  • The Todd: "Im 50% British"

Jan Itor "And Im 100% not interested."

    The Todd: "HAHAHA Classic Nigel!"

  • True, Im from London and Ive never heard anyone speak like that.

Though Im sure almost every american accent is exaggerated too, all in good fun.

  • I love how televisions always use the stereotype of the english accent :D the janitor just makes it so lovable. :D

  • Of course we all sound either totally like the queen or like Oliver Twist :P

  • haha .x :D

  • Im From Essex But Ive Travelled All Over The Countryy .

  • Ha Ha Im English And Ive Never Heard Any One Talk Like That !!

  • Have you not? Where are you from then because my old neighbours used to speak like that :L

  • mine broke at 13 and im english lol

  • Aw, bless. Trying to do a "British" accent.

They must actually believe we sound like that...

  • It's a tv show, ok?

Everything is exaggerated, otherwise it wouldn't be fun.

If the janitor would do a "normal" brittish accent it wouldn't be as clear.

  • :) I get it!

Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm critising it, I just think it's funny...

  • sorry sorry XD we don't we don't the janitor is doing a horrible job of it on purpose and tricking all of the idiots there

  • LMAO

  • How perfectly vulgar...

  • That's exactly how we talk in Sussex, lol.

  • rofl

English/British acents are easy to do..just don't slip XD

    I'm good at acents =w=

  • lols.

english people don't all sound posh or cockney. lols

    get it right xD

  • ahahaha--i never asked
