i purchased a ping g10 fairway wood in a shop in limerick called pro golf and when ever i hit this baby she goes straight like a dime all thanks to its 15.5 degree loft
I am a 26 hadicapper who has come Down from 45 in 1 year ( i'm only young) I don't have a full set of clubs and I am looking for an iron set in looking at the ping g15. And wondering if you have any other suggestions???
really nice club, cant decide whether to get a g10 3 wood or g15 one, im a lowish handicapper but dont know whether to splash out on something that i could basically hit the same, can anyone help please? thanks (:
deff the PING, I've had good feedback from the R9, however, when we got the G10 in the shop, we took it out and tested it, replaced my driver with it as soon as the shipment came in
Was contemplating buying this driver but noticed how similar it was to the G5. I managed to pick up a G5 10.5 with a prolaunchblue regular shaft for just 150 euro. The G10 was 300 euro and I'm striking the ball super with the new G5.
It looks like I have an infomercial bag but somehow I bought both the putter and hybrid before I saw their ridiculous infomercials haha. I definitely recommend the Bobby Jones hybrid but I'm getting tired of the putter I may switch to a blade (Scotty Cameron or Odyssey probably)
ie tried them all and the g10 is the best for the money.. or an xstiff mizuno..burnes suck for that matter taylormade hasnt made a good driver since the r5..the placement is all mesed up
Thats awesome, I shoot about 20 to 25 over on a bad day. My issue is totally a driver and iron combo. If I can hit my driver, I can hit my woods, if I cant hit my driver or irons, I cant hit my woods. If I hit my driver bad, but my irons good, its still a bad day :D
haha i have those all the time plus i am not a distance hitter i hit my drives only 240 normally and if i dont make the GIR i can use my 58 to put it within 5 feet and save par or 2 putt. i shoot 85 normally because of the 2 putts - just having trouble reading greens lately.
yeah, my handicap is a 3.5. (i don't get the .5 but w/e) Not trying to act like im talking down to both of you but definitely the most important clubs, i think, are your driver and your putter. If you miss-hit your driver then probably you don't have a good enough shot into the green to put it close and your looking at a tough 2-putt. And if you putt well and make those 5-10 feet putts then your gonna shoot low. Just my thought on that.
wrong, most important clubs are definitely your Irons and putter. Drivers are definitely important(as all clubs are), but if your second shot is shit it doesn't matter. I used to have a horrible slicewith my driver(as in accross the fairway to my right), but I would still get bogey or par because my long irons/hybrids went exactly where I wanted. Probably didn't help that i had a dunlop No-Problem driver from K-Mart with a "regular" flex, my new Burner is much better, haha.
I could hit that No-Problem a country mile, I liked it but the flex/torque of the shaft didn't fit my swing. I actually hit a 360yd(downhill) drive down the middle of the fairway with that thing, lol, it definitely had it in it!
I have a g10 and really like it but will be changing it on christmas . Nothing against the club , im switching to 9.5 stiff. I wont get a ping for a long time again. I want something different. Il always remember it though. It was my first proper big brand golf club. Before that i had a dunlop womens set. (UNTIL I WAS 13)
i took the G10 out onto the range and it hits exactly the same as my G5. The only difference i cud find was the size of the club head was larger. a huge dissapointment as a huge ping fan. the best driver on the market at the moment is the callaway FT-i tour, hands down! it wiped the floor with all the top end drivers out there.
Actually no it is not "all in my head " because my father has played twenty years with basic unknown clubs. When i told him i was getting a g10 he persuaded me it was a waste. He tried it at the driving range and has bought i10 irons and a burner driver. Better clubs are genuinely better.
Most of the stuff I have heard about this driver was that it seemed a bit "rushed" and not much of a difference from the g5, so I never really considered taking a look at it, but now yah opened my eyes a bit more and i just might check it out.
I have hit the G2, G5, the rapture... and I own the G10. Light Years better than anything that Ping has put out... and hands down the best driver available today.

Same here, I usually save a 2 putt after a stray iron shot. Once I hit my driver well, I will be all over the ball.

the g10 sounds FANTASTIC
Possibly the best sounding driver ever made. It's nice and quiet and the PING sound is amazing
