I have no clue runer, i have not tried getting online period with this ps3, i have others i get online with...if you do it would be nice to inform on the status of it!

@Rikana hahahahaha, check out the new backup manager stealth edition, it makes sony think that you have been playing modern warfare 2 instead of the backup manager :P
tbh the chance of anyone getting hold of a blackcat.. or a teensy bored... or an at90usbkey is so rediculously unlikely... not for the next few months anyway, pretty much everyone who found out about this went and bought one offline :D

We will come to see if the hdd will have problems later, not a big issue as you can always replace an hdd by yourself. As for getting online, i have not tried and probably will not until a more stealth version of backup manager arrives...Sony isnt stupid and can pick up on this almost immediately so i will wait for a stealth version
The BlackcatUSB software can program the device over USB, set the two DIP to off, start the software, and press the button! Then you get a AVR Firmware screen where you can load a HEX file and hit program. Its really that easy. There is a manual.

@ThinnPikkins Thanks! It would be awesome if you could make a video tutorial on setting the Blackcat up to be used on the PS3. Like a link to the flashing program and programing it with the teensy1.0 hex file. I and many others would greatly appreciate that, plus it would cut down on the some of the questions people have.
Ha i figured i would hear something to that affect, honestly it just took a step up in my book! While everyone is waiting for teensy's and teensy++ boards to be shipped, im sitting on the smoothest operating board for the exploit, so easy a cave man can do it!
Help is something i did not need, i asked in a public forum, What file you were using as my file wasnt patched correctly, and i could not boot the backups after i ripped them to hdd, so if you consider telling me what file you were using as help and it makes you sleep better than thats what it will be, you did not walk me thru shit as i was already backing games up before you even posted you had yours working, again that is documented on the forum. So i suggest calming down.....

Yes you use Flip software from atmega to program it., and it is done thru usb..
