That's because in Gintama, no one is spared from humiliating slapstick comedy. Just because you are a girl doesn't give you a free pass to be excused. xD Girls in Gintama gets to join in all the stupid, fun things the characters do instead of just standing in the sidelines being pretty. ..And that makes them a lot more likable than women who are always on the side of the abuser of slapstick and never the "abusee" xD Really I don't like girls who mindlessly hurt guys.
