johnsoncp13, Have you sold your Waldorf Blofeld keyboard? My english is not perfect, but I try to ask something about Waldorf Blofeld. You demonstrated, how use 2 sounds together. Can you devide keys to play other instruments: left hand bass and righ piano etc? How many parts is possible in that keyboard?
This keyboard has not any rhytms? All have to make?
I will buy Waldorf Blofeld's keyboard later in spring.
@MakeEno78 Hello! I have sold my Blofeld. I got a bit frustrated with the menus and wanted some real analogue knobs to turn. You can divide the keyboard and have different sounds at different parts of the keyboard. There are 16 channels for you to play with. There are no rhythms or drums etc so you have to be a bit creative or connect the Blofeld to a PC. Good luck with your playing.
"We know this issued and it is a software problem. We will fix it within the next firmware update.
You can do a workaround by switching Multimode on and off. After that the parameter dial will work again properly. I´m sorry for your trouble, thank you for understanding!"
ive just put a new blofeld module back ro shop, for them to send back and fix....the top right knobs keeps stopping working..i also emailed waldorf..heres their reply... "We know this issued and it is a software problem. We will fix it within the next firmware update.

I had similar problems, a credible explanation I found was that some midi players (like the one in Windows 7) don't push all the sys messages out. Using the player in MIDI-OX (free) sorted it out for me.
I believe you should refit the right turning knob below the screen and check that the flat surface on the axel line up with the flat surface inside the knob itself!
Btw I never had any problem at all with my Blofeld except when upgrading firmware which is totally erratic and experimental each time!!!
It's a good thing you sold yours...I tried this with my blo keyboard and the whole thing crashed! Other people have had the same problem. It's now stuck on the "start up" patch and that's it. When I push play all it does is go into the multi mode! Wrote Waldorf and...nothing...no service that I am aware of in the US. Supposed to be a warranty too. Gutted!
@NickDrake101 That is TERRIBLE! I did this multi sound things loads of times and I never had a problem. I do hope that you get this sorted. It sounds like you will need to re-apply the firmware. Perhaps there is a newer version? Does the Blofeld have a backup battery? Maybe it could be reset by taking that out. I'm just guessing here.
@johnsoncp13 GOOD NEWS.. it's fixed! :) I'm not sure exactly how I got it back, but it went something like this: Reapplied ver 1.13 after having updated to ver 1.15 and back several times before, though, this time with ver 1.15 I ran KBC 1.01...still in multi. then I ran KBC 13... though still in multi. Switched it back to ver 1.13, and then it was back to normal! What in the world did I do? : /
At least it's fixed. Blofeld is a great synth, but bugs like this remind me of Win 95!
Hi John! I wonder whether you also have spacings around the display cover? I mean that the plastic cover is not hermetic from the sides. It seems like it's glued only from the top so you can shake it free by the finger. Am i right? Thanks.
Hi John thanks for the video. I can't get my blofeld to accept the new sounds. I've upgraded to 1.15 fine, but i can't get the easter sounds in. Do you need to do anything special before you run the midi file, or should it just accept the file when you play it like when you updrade? Cheers
@DJWhoot I can't remember exactly what I did but I think I just played the midi file through the Media Player Classic. I did it the same way I upgraded the firmware. I have sold Blofeld now. Good luck with the sounds.
Finally... they fixed the polyphonic aftertouch in the blofeld 1.15.......and it works awesome... all paramaters are individually modulated by each key now...cool
Now if they can address the quirks in the portamento / glissando sections...super
I posted this on MATRIXSYNTH. Achim wrote in with the following "the mute function probably isn't what he was trying to use. @matrixsynth Thank you for forwarding the comment. My videos are based on trial and error and whilst they may have technical faults, they work for me. I post them to try and help fellow users like myself who are struggling with the Waldorf manuaIs :) I wish that Waldorf would provide tutorial videos (like Korg for example).

@johnsoncp13 Cheers matey. I ened up using the old skool cable midi rather than USB and that did the trick :)

I used win program called MIDIBar from Midi-OX to play 1.15 firmware, so it went well. _J-P
