In case you didn't notice the title of the video its a low level solo run , meaning no battles besides those that are 100% mandatory are done, there was no ev training besides the random selection of ev's you collect throughout the course of the game. Quite frankly this is just about the hardest challenge you can attempt in a pokemon game that is actually doable.

Flamethrower is instant death and charizard is too fast to paralyze, rain dance cuts fire damage by 1/2.
