@az0r22 - The only time we realize our "place in the world" is when we're dead. Meaningless, unimportant, those are all human emotions. Artists do because they're bored. Boards of Canada take boredom to a new level.
17. Student . I live in Greece , everything seems to be collapsing here . Hoping to study physics in university , though art is what I feel gives some meaning to each day . Boards of Canada is art .
@TheWorldelephantseal Indeed , but the most special thing about physics , is it gives you a sense of safety . Everything seems totally meaningless and unimportant , yet beautiful . You understand your place in the world , outside society and outside any concept that might exist in your head . Physics is indeed a wonderful subject .
19: Current Factory worker, returning to College in January. Has been into electronic music since 95'. My overseas culture exposure is what probably contributed to my diverse taste of music and at such a young age. I like music that can be defined as "art", not music that is cheap/sexist/shallow, which usually makes the top charts. I wish to one day re-innovate my own interpretation of electronic music, as well as some indie rock. Looking for really atmospheric sounds and nostalgia for my music.
i remember this album came out while i was in high school, it gave me that much needed escape from all the bullshit of adolescence. it's like going to another planet with your ears
22, grad student in computer science, loves to code and listen to this sort of music late in the night while studying...likes ping pong, soccer, cricket etc! wants to skydive while listening to dayvan cowboy
23, ex-stoner, second year student computer science, broad interests outside of the IT world, mainly cosmology and physics.. likes coffee as well, haha. Feels deep gratitude that life is possible on our tiny tiny blue spot in the universe..
17. avid admirer of electronic and house music. ill listen to anything that makes me think. i used music to keep my gears rotating and my purpose alive. born and raised in canada.used to live in the middle-east for a couple of years but im glad to be back home. i enjoy math over other school subjects. once you understand the numbers you'll never go wrong. numbers to me represent the purity of truth. they never lie
16, stoner, i get lost in my own thoughts.. i like reading, and i would say im an intellect of some sort. i like taking in and digesting information and sharing it. i like writing. i also enjoy singing and listening to music in general. all this is my escape from my depression. thats why i love bands like boards of canada, ratatat, flying lotus, etc. becaue they give me joy through pure sound. its like each song should be in the soundtrack to peacefull or strange dreams.
34, amateur computer based music producer...still in love with the early 80's. Their music always reminds me of the best rainy day ever. Like this amazing nostalgic bliss.
I am almost 23, love music. I am going into teaching and I am planning on playing BoC in the background when my kids are reading or something. The music is very peaceful and I have been a fan since my freshman year in college when my friend suggested them to me based on my taste in music. All the kids I have seen are listening to classical and elevator music in the classroom. Well, I think they should be listening to something that can be more relatable to them. I think BoC does that.
@Thome90 Since you're interested (and so am I): 22 years old, id call myself intelligent, smoked weed in the past, not anymore, study computer science, friendly, open minded, i don't know what else to type. Your turn, haha.
@88Cortex 20 Years old, still smoking xD but not too much.....studying Jurisprudence, doing karate judo and bodybuilding...and of course i listen to awesome music...i also like trashy 70s kung fu movies...hihihi
@Thome90 15 years old, never smoked, not studying anything but plan to study photography / cinematography. I listen to BOC because I'm always heavily inspired while listening to them.

Only in two kinds of videos I could rarely notice bad comments : Wilderness-related videos, and Boards of Canada.
In other words : you guys seems to respect this music as much as we respect nature.
And that's awesome.

@toGatherThinskin I'm 17 as well and your comment has just summed up the same reason I'm listening to BOC.
