Having hit the pavement at around twenty mph before I can tell you proper gear means a lot. I'd be missing a good chunk of skin from my arm if I hadn't had my leather on.
The pros who don't wear helmets and leathers get away with that after paying their dues during years of riding with the proper safety equipment. If you're still in the learning stages (Read: If you still get tossed on occasion), don't go without the proper equipment.
you got a 2 doller head, buy a 2 doller helmet.
KIDS WATCH THIS STUFF, and think its cool to not wear a helmet.
as good as the riding is, your sending the wrong message out to the kids who will one day be able to do this awesome style of stunt.
