  • my primary target is anyone who is an enemy

  • How to play heavy:

    Hold W and Mouse 1

  • heavies are not op they do really small damage at median range or long range and there really slow so they can die

  • Do you think Heavy is an OP class? I mean, it's pretty powerful but heavies can easily be killed by plenty of classes.

  • Nice vid and nice gameplay but pay more attention to keeping your medic alive

  • "Heavies are not the ideal class to deal with sentries."

It can be, if your uberded medic is smart enough to take the knockback.

  • Bonus Tip: When 1v1ing another heavy, duck. You make yourself a smaller target and therefore, on average, take less damage than the other Heavy. This is great, since most Heavy battles are a matter of shooting first and hoping all your bullets connect, so anything to make you take less damage is critical.

  • press mouse 1 to the enemys, call a medic and await to ubercharge whem somebody is near you fire then could be spy thats all

  • Simple to learn.

    Difficult to master.

  • Easy to play.

    Hard to play very well.

  • How to play Heavy

    1- ATATATATATATATATATATA!

2- *Nom nom nom om nom*

    3- I AM BULLET PROOF!

  • It also helps to have a pocket medic. :D

  • step 1. shoot

    that's about all

  • huh i find heavy actually the best class dealing with sentries

  • @kilkolio Demoman is by far the best from what I've seen, especially when übered.

  • Comment removed

  • Great video, this helped me out a lot!

  • the medic is a myth

  • Thanks man this helped alot.

  • Heavy is probably the easiest class just shoot and you will kill someone no skill needed lol

  • @UBERMAN2828 ya that is why most noobs play them. and get owned :D

  • @UBERMAN2828 Youd be surprised. If you go for people at long ranges a spy or a pyro with th backburner or axestinguisher cna easily pick you off. Plus your slow speed puts you at a disadvantage for good scouts and most snipers. And the enemy team is gonna target you first about 95% of the time, so be sure to keep your medic alive.

  • Is this fucking serious? If you can't play the heavy, I suggest you don't play war games period

  • @pokejh well some like me isnt very good with heavy, its just hard actually...plain simple.

    u really think its easy?

  • OMG...

    I MISS 2007 TF2 SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH

    ;(

  • another tip: when you're on a cart shoot as much as possible

the cart is a dispencer and will give you more ammo than you can shoot

  • 1:28 the medic should have taken the pushback so you/the heavy can shoot the sentry

  • When I launch TF2, my mouse is invisable. And when I click I move. HELP!

  • @insaneguyxD If you have increased your font size on the desktop to 150% or more several problems (including invisible cursor) can occur. Try reducing your font to 149% or less. Also, Turn off mouse trails. As for the mouse movement when clicking, can you be more specific? I've never heard of that bug. Additionally, there is a known bug that causes many problems in TF2;

ctrl + space crashes several aspects of the game for many people. Refrain from pressing those two buttons together.

  • @The4LA2Baker0 Woah thanks dude, my problem is that I had the ouse trail on. So I was able to fix all the problems.

  • @insaneguyxD My pleasure. I do what I can, when I can to keep people having fun.

  • Heavy rock

  • 1. Play as Heavy

    2. ???

    3. Profit!

  • 1:25

    Heavy:I AM BULLETPROOF!!!

    Me:O.O

  • Great video. You prove that there's more to being a Heavy than just shooting randomly.

  • my only problem is running out of ammo

  • damn your kills are dominating the boards

  • WHERE DID MY TOP RATED COMMENT GO

  • 1:25 I AM BULLET PROOF!!!!

  • About the sentrys knock back on uber heavys a good medic would stand in front of the heavy to take the knock back well the heavy owns it.

  • he play with bot iam sure

  • @hoae01 He play with u. I am sure.

  • "heavies are not ideal for taking out sentries"...ye if your medic ubering you isnt smart enough to take the knock back from the sentry

  • As a general rule of thumb for TF2: If all else fails, ubercharge the heavy until you get lucky.

  • i wonder why its called a "Mini"gun, it isnt mini at all

  • How to play heavy:

Step 1. Call your boyfriends A.K.A Medics.

    Step 2. Kill everyone.

    (I LOVE HEAVY CLASS!)

  • If it cost's $400,000 to fire Sasha for 12 seconds, how much did it cost to make this video.

  • Comment removed

  • you sure are a crit lucker.

  • what map is 3:15

    I forgot :3

  • WHAT THE FUCK HOW DO U GET SO MUCH FUCKING CRITS

  • @PRINTDAMNIT crit chance increases based on damage you do, so the longer you are firing and hitting people the higher your chance are for getting crits

  • @imurdered well then why do they call them "random crits"

  • @PRINTDAMNIT its still "random", your chances just increase by a little. The chance is capped at 10% i think, so its not like if you shoot for 10 minutes straight you'll be doing 100% crits

  • How do you eat the sandvich? D:

  • @spartonoob07 select sandvich and attack click alt click to drop

  • @spartonoob07 right click.... or left click and walk over the sandvich when you are in a hurry or someone in ur team desperately needs health like medics, soldiers etc.....

  • For heavy it's how close and when, surprise attacks are important to heavies

  • Iron curtian is the same as sasha-_- wat are you talking about?

  • heavy sucks... no joke... cant have fun by playing heavy

  • @jackuy12345 Well the Heavy is a defense class, very helpful when protecting a base. Although, they can also tear down enemy bases and are also (somewhat) good at capturing points. Their powerful weapons also compensate the fact that they're so damn slow. Also, for some reason, Medics ALWAYS heal you. But, if you want something more offensive, choose the Soldier or Scout.

But hey, you can have opinions, free country. :P

  • @jackuy12345

Heavy needs ALOT more skill than Pyros, Spies and Sniper these days...

    Pyros: W+M1

Sniper: Bodyshots make to much damage. (+ 170+ damage with Machina bodyshot...)

    Spy: Overpowered Items

  • Is it really necessary for a Heavy to have a Medic? I don't like having medics on me.

  • Heavy: Punch Punch Punch

    Heavy 2: No.. -Kills Heavy-

    Heavy: Aaawwwhhh Awh Awh!

  • Wow, those two spies just sitting there plugging away with their revolvers instead of backstabbing the medic. Amazing display of incompetence.

  • YOUR LIKE THE AIMBOT! xD

  • LOL this video is shit. How to play the heavy? just rush! on a 1v1 situation u will always win. Unless a Pyro comes suddenly right in ur face then ur screwed.

  • what is the best minigun for heavy?

  • @HenkeeZify natasha and thomislaiv. also the brass beast. but the normal minigun is good too if your looking for speed

     brass beast for damage

thomisliav for epic 50.cal sound and look

and the natasha if you want to ensure your enemies die, because the natasha slows them down when you shoot them. i mainly use the thomislaiv and natasha.

  • @lawl756 wow Thanks

  • @HenkeeZify sarcasm?

  • @lawl756 no not realy, i was just impressed that you took your time to write down all that

  • @lawl756 natascha sucks, the slow speed movement isnt that effective, and damage is low

  • @forgetfulmandude Natascha USED to be good, though. It used to be the hands down best gun. Now the vanilla gun is the best, with brass beast only being usable in random few situations.

  • @Kato128rs I have to disagree with vanilla being the best, I personally find tomislav to be better. Not necessarily because of the silent spin up, but mostly because of how quickly it can be deployed. I honestly find the damage reduction to not be that big of a deal, it's only like 20% reduction iirc.

  • @mrdoingboing It's not 20% less damage, that would be okay, it's 20% slower FIRING SPEED. That's way worse. It ends up putting up way less damage, especially at distanced fights. In payload on attacking side there is unlimited ammo while on the cart. In pubs (which he is playing) you can sit on the cart and push it infinitely, only backing up to throw down a sandvich or hit a dispenser and go back. Tomislav is not viable in Payload, honestly. A good heavy knows when to deploy in advance.

  • @Kato128rs Ah yes, I forgot sorry. I usually play capture points and CTF, I'll have to remember that the next time I play payload, thx for the feedback :o

  • @HenkeeZify Tomislav. Fantastic mobility and the lowered damage is greatly compensated by the fact that you're shooting for more of the time. The silent spin up is a nice bonus that can get you more "minigun backstabs".

  • @RandomEngy No. iron kurtain is way better, way more balanced, deals more crits and fires a little bit faster than the standard minigun, its kinda bugged. Tomislav is in 2nd.

  • @RandomEngy

How would you describe the learning curve of the Heavy?

  • @MissingnoTheGreat Even when new to the class you can be useful to your team since at the very least you can take a lot of punishment before going down, deal decent damage and be useful with an uber. Being really good as Heavy takes a lot practice though. Knowing when to commit and retreat, when to expect spies, tracking fast-moving enemies are all very useful core skills that take a while to develop. There's a lot of other little tricks like quick-swap GRU jumping you can learn as well.

  • @RandomEngy

Thanks. I was asking because I was considering this class as one of my three core classes due to his near Blissey level of HP (Blissey is from Pokemon and can reach over 600 HP without any investment) and his ability to destroy with his not-so-minigun. I'm okay with moving like a tank if I have the durability and strength of one too.

  • @RandomEngy I think the guy you replied to was trollin'. Just saying.

  • @RandomEngy The best minigun for Heavy is the default. I killed a lot of Heavys with the Tomislav and with a Medic.

  • @RandomEngy Damage isn't lowered at all. Only firing speed.

  • @TheMovieBrotherZ when people talk about damage output, they usually refer to damage per second. lowering ROF lowers DPS too.

  • @RandomEngy

I was so happy when I got that.

  • @RandomEngy i have tomislav

  • @RandomEngy now thay made it so the tomislav only has a lowered rate of fire so MORE then worth it

  • @HenkeeZify brase beast

  • @HenkeeZify The normal minigun. to me, it really depends. what random engie said, a silent minigun backstab is nice, but if your like me and not a very good traitor, its good to know how the normal, "Minigun" works. and how to use it. in case you have nothing left.

  • @HenkeeZify tomislav for attack and the brass beast for defense

  • @Aggressive46 Sorta but Brass Beats will never compare to minigun to slow spin up time and slow movement that means a scout can take out or distract long enough a brass heavy

  • @chessdrag0n2 yeah that's why you use it when you know the enemy is coming you can spin the gun all you want and it does much more damage you camp with it

  • @Aggressive46 Iron Curtain for everything.

  • @Aggressive46 i use natacha for attack still OP as fuck compared to any other class wepaons its just the spinup that gets ya

  • @Aggressive46 tomislav, minigun for attack brass for defence. natacha is multi role

  • @Aggressive46 and the normal minigun?

  • @Gmetroid cap the flag maybe?

  • @Aggressive46 What about Natasha?

  • @ODSTD56 buntch of pain in the ass scouts problem slover ;)

  • @HenkeeZify Sasha for all around effectiveness. Tomislav for Offense, and Brass Beast for defense. The gloves of running urgently are quite useful as well. use them to escape quick(er), get to the action faster, and since they cause DOT they will increase your medics uber charge rate.

The best Heavies are paranoid. Constantly check your 6 and shoot your team mates because spies consider you a primary target, especially if you are doing well.

  • @The4LA2Baker0 Stay away from Brass Beast, it's just underpowered, the bonus damage just isn't worth it. Defense, you use Minigun, Offense, Tomislav and Support (for example when an ubercharge isn't enough to push through enemies) use Natasha.

  • @Zentennen I don't know why you are telling me, I'm a fucking pro. Besides, Natasha is worthless and Brass Beast is a great weapon if you are stationary on D. I almost always use Sasha though.

  • @The4LA2Baker0 "A fucking pro," that just proves the oposite. The Brass Beast is underpowered. Usually you will lose a figth to a heavy who moves while spinning and firing. Although the brass beast should be superior to all other miniguns in a gunfight where both spin up at the same time. If the slower movement speed was nerfed the gun would be great for defence, but as it stands now, a minigun loses 17% damage but is far more versitile not to mention simply superior.

  • @Zentennen How does that prove anything?! Besides that your skills of deduction and logic are severely lacking. I can tell for sure that you are not very good. If you lose with brass beast spun up you must be fucking terrible. I personally almost never change from Sasha, but there are times when the beast is handy, and same with the tomi. Natasha is worthless. I'm sorry you are terrible with the beast, but that just means you are terrible, not the gun.

  • @The4LA2Baker0 The opposite. I have never, since the release of it in december 2010, lost to a brass beast user. The regular minigun (sasha) or iron curtain (the same stats) are superior. My skills in logic have been statistically tested, how about yours? 20% damage bonus is nothing when looking at the extreme negatives. Also, try actually playing against a team, not in pub matches, and you'll see how easily strafe-firing the minigun will win any gunfight against a brass beast.

  • @Zentennen I'm in the 97th percentile for intelligence and gaming ability. I have a reputation as "a great team player that you can depend on". Ive been playing Fortress games since Quake, more then 13 years. If the movement of a heavy strafing is too difficult for you to track, you might try playing a less coordination oriented game. Maybe poker, or Word Whomp. The negatives of the beast are moot if you are;

    a) stationary, and

    b) spun up

It is a niche application, but it is effective at times.

  • @The4LA2Baker0 If you have been playing FPS's since quake than you should know that not all weapons are balanced. Yes if you are in a hallway and firing, already spun up you're going to win, inevtiably. However, you lose so much versitility, it isn't worth it. 20% damage is nothing compared to the losses? Why did Valve do this? Because damage is so overrated, high damage weapons are usually known as overpowered, so Valve decided to give huge negatives.

  • @HenkeeZify Except that Tomislav is terrible. Thing's dps sucks compared to mini, and more importantly, the spinup time improvement is barely any time at all. At nearly any range, mini will kill before tomislav does if both start spinning at the same time, and the longer you keep spun up the greater and greater the divide is.

  • @gimmethegepgun Minigun Heavy is the only counter to Tomislav Heavy, Sasha does 500 DPS, Tomislav does 450 (enough for an overhealed Heavy), and the spin up time is VERY noticeable, it's almost an insta rev up, is just that most Tomislav heavies are terrible (well most Heavies in general) so it's kinda hard to notice as they have problems killing someone at point blank, but the Tomislav is pretty powerful by it's own

  • @CharroArgentino If Sasha does 500, that means Tomi does 417, since Valve doesn't know basic math and the -20% actually means 20% longer between shots instead of 80% rate, like it should.

Also, that's at point blank. It takes longer to kill at range, which makes it even easier for sasha to overcome the spinup time difference.

  • Heavy: My least played class, but my best friends. As a semi-expert Medic (As in, I play a lot, but I suck), I tend to stick to Heavies, especially for Ubers. I won't go on about how I play Medic, but here's a little advice/favor-to-ask. FOR GODS SAKES, ONLY CALL FOR MEDIC IF YOU'RE INJURED. Not if you wanna be overhealed. I've let many a (Vital) Soldier, Pyro or Demoman die because I rushed to a Heavy who had full health. Not only does this piss me off, but it makes the team work worse.

  • @masterplusmargarita MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC

  • thanks mate!

  • everything here is really good, except I'd tell more players to try to get used to not having a medic, since a free ranging heavy can be almost as deadly with practice, unfortunately good medics are hard to come by these days.

  • why weere you scared to attack the sentry at 1:30 you had ubercharge

  • @rempakos Level 3 sentries are strong enough to push a Heavy backwards, even when he's ubercharged. He probably couldn't physically advance more than that and retreated when he realized that the charge was running out. Smart move.

  • @rempakos he wasn't scared, the sentry pushed him back

  • i wish it was still this easy to play the heavy

  • 3:12 what a dumb

  • How to play heavy

    Step 1. Press M1.

    EYADADADADAEYADADADAEYADADADAA

  • @Demonato Fail, scouty.Heavy will take the most damage in a fight 96% of the time because he's so strong,he is very slow and so is his spin up time. You can exploit his slow speed and long range disavantages easily. It's not just WM1.

  • You had Uber and you didn't charge in to get both sentries easier?

  • all ways keep you medic alive... he just died o.o

  • It costs $400,000 to watch this video.... for 12 seconds.

  • How to play Heavy:

    1. Use cheap Tomislav

    2. Spam e

    3. Mow people down because they are easy targets.

  • thanks man this video realy helped me :).

  • There are some beautiful kill-feeds in this vid

  • the heavy is like to rick from " silver and gold , pawn shop " is las vegas

  • good old times when heavy was balanced

  • Heavy is the most straight-forward class to master. Even the Pyro and Soldier are harder to become avid at.

  • How to play as Heavy:

    1. Press E

    2. Hold the left mouse

    3. Aim at anyone who's not in your team

  • @forgetfulmandude 4. And die in first 30 seconds being backstabbed

  • @forgetfulmandude actualy you better aim to your teammates 2 :D What if some1 is a spie?

  • @forgetfulmandude and make sure to pick up ammo kits.

    srsly.

i had it happen quite a few times that i ran out of ammo before my medic could deploy his uber >.>

  • @miauw62 lol n a have to run to the sentry and punch it :\

  • @forgetfulmandude thats the basics

  • @forgetfulmandude

    4. Aim at your team, too, they can be spies

  • 200$ custom made cartriges. Crits are 600$, Almost 1/3 of video are crits. So you must be very rich

  • How to play as heavy:

    Step One: Equip Minigun

    Step Two: Find enemies

    Step Three: EYAADADADADADADADADODOHDADADADADA

  • do any of u want this game u can get it for free at steam.com i think

  • IT TAKES $400,000 TO FIRE THAT GUN FOR EXACTLY 12 SECONDS

  • got 60 points with the heavy and ive only had the game for 2 days

  • thats an awesome guide, but i find it questionable if these tactics work after 4 years.

  • @j4ff4c3ks1 It will, it will

  • @j4ff4c3ks1 they do. mechanics don't change, just their execution methods.

  • @Gerstein1 Well mechanics DO change if the tactics would include fixed exploits.

But what i meant is that the players do. Which is why most of the spy tactics exhibited before 2010 dont really work anymore because of Cloak&Dagger

  • 3:04 I feel so sad for this Heavy :(

  • long story short: W+M1

  • @sabziahun agreed.

  • actually, an overcharged heavie is the ONLY thing that can 100% destroy a sentrie if no pyro is nearby, you are the heaviest class, if you walk without spinning into range and start friring, the sentrie is done for

  • 3:07 LIKE A BOSS

  • BUFFALO STEAK SANDVICH

  • WHO TOUCHED SASHA! >:O lolz

  • heavies biggest enemies:

    1. Spies

    2. Snipers.

    3. Soggy sandvich thanks to jarate.

  • @MultiMango72 Jarate is actually piss! no wonder its yellowish gold

  • @MultiMango72 what about the new Degreaser + melee tactic pyro's use ?:0

  • @MultiMango72

guess you forgot an expert soldier :P or a backburning pyro

  • hold mouse 1 and w and thats how u play the heavy

  • @chadthomas889 and pyro! ;D

  • watch out for the spy "Zentlemen"

  • /watch?v=PDHuUEl1RjE

watch this for new tomislav heavy gameplay!

  • The most important bit is jumping before attacking. Half the server heavies just spin their guns, inch around the corner and expect enemies to not see you coming / get sniped.

  • That Pyro was a Spy.

  • 3:08 makes me angry.

How could you turn down fisticuffs. You are no gentleman heavy sir.

  • lol the two spies chillin near the pt

  • Thanks for the advice. Im installing the game while watching!

@AdobeExcel And he means to get into a good spot

    BEFORE

    killing everything ;)
