  • Gregg Hale's memories of his military training, in which "enemy soldiers" would hunt a trainee through wild terrain for three days, the directors moved the characters far during the day, harassing them by night and depriving them of food.

  • 1:37 YOU CAN HIS EYES :O

  • i was just just dying with laughter at the snot coming out of her nose :L

  • @RachelXOX5 We made a parody of this lol u shud check it out :)

  • the snot coming out of her nose xP

  • her nostrils move loads!

  • OMG a NOSE

  • this was just acting... it was good. but come on the scene was good.

  • the reason the acting scared seemed so real is because it was. the actors were unaware the crew was hiding in the woods making noises. they were given a script and told to go into the woods and film, that was all.

  • Casey Anthony's in this movie. She's awesome actress!

  • I actually felt sorry for her

  • this don't even look like acting it look's like real life footage..well done for the actors!

  • This movie is awesome to watch when your toasted

  • Why is this movie so scary to everyone?

  • @NOSYPOWER Because it attacks the senses.

  • @truecinema How does it do that in the movie?

  • @NOSYPOWER if you watch it alone in a closed room and let the film absorb you, you'll see. The noises in the forest, the cold, the kids arguing with each other, their desperation, Heather's fear in this scene, you'll feel all of that.

    And it'll freak you out.

  • @NOSYPOWER because its actually scary... it has you on the edge of you're seat.. Unlike todays horror films which are just super expensive produced loads of shit

  • This was the lamest hokey movie of that year.

  • @Matrix29bear Okay, that's your opinion. Care to tell us why?

  • The bitch of Blair!!!

  • when did this come out??

  • @30inventionman 1999

  • Imagine in the reaction had the Blair Witch came up behind her when recording.

  • I WILL TELL YOU ALL HOW THIS MOVIE WAS DIRECTED

these three students were told by a director to go out in the woods for 7 days with 2 cameras and hiking gear. The director told them that they would be watched by his crew the WHOLE time and that they would be supplied with batteries each night. Then, the director sent a box to the first man telling him to disappear without notice, and he did so. that is when all the drama started to kick in. LIKE so everyone can see this befor they shit their pants

  • YUCK

  • fucking brilliant

  • This scene is so terrifying. I feel like I'm sitting right beside her, realizing we're about to lose our lives. That's what makes this movie so freaking scary.

  • love this movie- blood-chilling, a classic, eff the Razzies-

  • Asif i have to study this for film studies YAWN! shes so fucking annoying

  • This is incredible acting by Heather Donahue. Razzies are a joke, why pay any attention to them? Stanley Kubrick was nominated as the worst director for Shining, it says a lot doesn't it?

  • @PeyserConley Not only that the mainn theme for John Carpenter's The Thing was also nominated. So yeah, it does say alot.

  • I have a question. HOW THE FUCK DID THE BATTERY RUN THAT LONG!

  • @CpsLock3 earlier in the movie Heather said, "we have enough batteries here to run a third-world country."

  • @CpsLock3

Heather says at the beginning of the movie that they brought a lot of battery power along with them in case the camera happened to run out early.

  • @gubbbies it's just a couple of words, i hope ur okay

  • she's scared shitless.

BTW, any guys know that she was flaring her nose most of the time?

  • @CascadeFreak She was breathing through her nose. I think that she was too scared to breathe through her mouth, because it makes more noise, also, I just think that she was trying to calm herself down. If she didn't, she'd have started sobbing loudly, attracting a lot of attention - more than what the light would have.

  • maby she could have turned the camera light off and shut up

  • to joshes mom and his mom and my mom and oh teh endless moms i 've scared!

  • I love scary movies and this one was so original in its time. I just wikipedia-ed the film, because I wikipedia everything, but the guy Joshua Leonard is doing really well now. His film The Lie premiered at Sundance! He directed it and stars in it. Good for him!!! bitly .com/pmUpEi

  • i swear i thought there would be a monster fricken popping out from the back and i had my hands over my eyes... ~ awkward sauce

  • Sheesh guys, people like different things. Hell, some people even like Family Guy. I'm not surprised that some people hate on this movie.

That said: Thanks a bunch for uploading.

  • terrible movie

  • @mrsneaker96 but here you are looking up clips from it

  • The fact that there isn't any useless scary music makes it even better. Cause I know I'm getting chills down my spine by the acting and not the music.

  • I thought this was one of the best scenes ever from a horror film. I watched it first being told it was a true story. When I saw this scene, I really believed it was true and I almost cried too. This is one of the best horro movies in my opinion.

  • "We're gunna die out here". - That shiz scares me....

  • Girl, cover your nose. Thats just nasty.

  • I don't know why anyone would think this girl was a bad actress. When this movie was in the theaters, many people were under the pretense that this was actual footage that was found. And the acting in this scene did nothing to repudiate that.

  • oh my god woman get a kleenex

  • 1:54 you have 2 eyes, close one and open the other one BITCH

  • i would pick it and eat it.

  • the razzie awards can go fuck themselves. im very convinced this girl is scared

  • @genkia87 i totally agree. heather donahue is putting on an amazing performance

  • @genkia87

I don't think they were really focused on this scene; they were looking at the scenes where she was being a real bitch and just wouldn't shut up.

  • thats what you get for listening to a girl

  • This film will always be one of the greatest, most effective horror films ever made. This film is not about a great ending; the beginning explains that the entire film consists of supposedly "found" footage, a.k.a. not a traditional ending ("Cloverfield" is the same way). Even if one doesn't like the film, they can at least show respect for filmmakers willing to do something different. There is no other horror film like it; that alone is an impressive achievement.

  • @Guigley Bullshit. Diary of the Dead is shot exactly like this. THAT movie is actually good. This movie blew.

  • @EggCandy you're an idiot. This movie doesn't blow. You only think that because you never got to see the witch. But that's the point. This movie isn't about cheap jump scares. It's about toying with your imagination and sympathizing with three people that you come to genuinely worry about.

  • @truecinema Lol you're a dumbass. I was 10 when I first saw this movie. Nothing about it was scary. I don't care if you get to see the witch or not. There are movies now that have same type of deal where they never show the monster/killer/whatever that are purely a psychological thriller that are way better than this movie.

  • @EggCandy I saw it young too. It was not that scary. Youngsters don't have a concept of death. Adults do, and now when I see it airing on showtime every week, it scares the living crap out of me. Going in circles, until you totally lose your mind and die of shame. Creepy.

  • @MrChinchilla54 Nah, this movies it still not scary. I'm also willing to bet any 10 year old has an understanding of what death is. Unless they are some sheltered child whose never watched anything but a PG movie before, I'm sure they know what death is.

  • @EggCandy you wanna actually give me an educated response instead of just comparing this movie to others and calling me a dumbass?

  • @truecinema Because your response was educated huh? Calling someone an idiot while make stupid assumptions, doesn't make you educated. This movie was just not scary. Not then, and not now. It failed as a horror movie. The apology scene that critics raved about saying it was "haunting" and whatever other adjectives they used, was hysterical. Both as a kid and now. The end scene just annoyed me. The chick screaming wasn't scary, it was obnoxious. You like shitty movies.

  • @EggCandy Clearly you don't know an intelligent horror film when you see one. No point in trying to convince you then, 'cause whether you like it or not, The Blair Witch Project made a huge impact on the film industry, and challenged the way people make movies. Only good movies do that.

BTW, you saying that critical reviews of this scene are "hysterical" shows a lot of ignorance on your part. It's 99% likely that critics are a lot smarter than you. Just sayin'.

  • @truecinema Lol, it doesn't take any intelligence to be a movie critic, fool. This movie was awful. The only thing that made this movie what you call good was its completely viral promotion and the website that went up before the movie came out making people think it was real. That was clever, that was good. The movie itself was not.

  • @EggCandy, do you ever hate reading "smart/professional" comments on Youtube? You know, the kind that some 20-30 year old person spent 5 minutes typing up to give you an intellectual, multi-faceted asskicking and defuse your entire viewing experience? Really, smart people need to just stay away from Youtube. Isn't it sad that they're wasting their critical thinking on us schmoes? Smart people shouldn't be on Youtube. They'd be happier somewhere else.

  • @Momentum139 No, but I do hate reading comments from self righteous pompous assholes.

  • I can't help laughing because I keep thinking of the Scary Movie version of this scene!

  • @11poketrainer haha scary movie fucked up lots of the horror movies i enjoyed before. same with the grudge. now it makes me laugh when i see it XD

  • after i saw this movie the first time, i was ready to smash my VCR, i was so pissed about the ending, oh and the whole movie was boring

  • @pyramidhead138 u know nothing about what makes a great horror movie

  • @JCInsatiable319 i thought horror movies were supposed to SCARE people? theirs nothing scary about this movie

  • @pyramidhead138 To YOU it might not be scary but to majority that've seen it is scary to them. This is a great horror movie. Anybody that's an hardcore horror movies fan knows there's different elements that makes a scary movie. Imagine u were in that movie getting chased from a witch and can't find ur way out. That's some scary shit.

  • @JCInsatiable319 the only ppl this movie scared are the ppl that are afraid of their own shadow. if this movie was so GREAT, then how come the 2nd movie blew ass and why havent they made a 3RD film yet huh? YEA I REST MY CASE!

  • @pyramidhead138 Don't be a tool. I guara-damn-tee u will shit ur pants if u were in that situation. A great movie doesn't need to have a sequal. The guy who created the original didn't make the sequal he wanted to wait but Artisan Entertainment wanted to capitalize on the success of the first one. U should do research before u "try" to prove a point. Now they're talking about making a remake

  • did anyone c that big snot thing coming out of her nose? lol

  • This movie was fucking brilliant

Barley using a budget they scared the shit out of anyone immersed in the movie

  • Can't hear you speak up?

  • This movie looks scary and all, but why is it that at 2:06 she starts making sounds like a dog in heat?

  • @16XMatt it's called hyperventilating. You do that when you're in a serious state of panic or anxiety (panic attacks)

  • I can't see this scene anymore without the Scary Movie apology with Gail coming to mind...

  • @pseudonympersona I was waiting for this girl to start shooting snot out of her nose LOL

  • @Spancho91 Hahahaha. Thanks for agreeing to my point of view.

  • lool the snot

  • This is one of the only movies to present the "found footage" idea realistically. Allother movies I would think "if I were in that situation, I'd drop the fucking camera". This was one of the few movies to present it in a realistic manner. Even Paranormal Activity was unbelievable at times

  • SNOT

  • lmao, scary movie !

  • This movie has many up and downs.

It has wonderful aspects, but has a lot of crappy scenes.

But will still be one of the greatest of all time.

  • i don't get the movie..i watch all those parts and i see no killer or anything

they all just screaming and dropping the camera? please explain :)

  • @DubstepRadioBROSS If you don't get the movie, you obviously didn't pay any attention whatsoever. At all. Watch it again and pay attention.

  • @DubstepRadioBROSS The Blair Witch is scary because you can't see her, and you don't know exactly what she's doing to these people. The movie works because it lets your imagination run wild.

  • @DubstepRadioBROSS turn ur imagination on, and THINK about wat could be attacking them in strategic ways, this isn't ur typical slasher horror film (which kinda sucks at times) its an original, different kinda horror that wants u to use ur imagination and be in their shoes to see what their suffering as their in the woods being haunted by a legendary witch that's only been told of, u just gotta pay attention in the beginning of the movuie and you'll see what's scary as hell about it

  • @superhuman295 That's an interesting way to look at this film, as it was inspired by "Cannibal Holocaust" in which you knew who the killers were.

  • @50percentGrey i want to see that soooo bad. i heard it was sick, sick, sick

  • This girl actually won the Worst Actress award in 2000.

She gives a much more believable, realistic and emotional performance than many actors today (and at that time, for that matter), and she wins a Razzie Award.

The movie was also nominated for Worst Picture.

Whoever does the Razzie Awards should be shot.

  • @TheAndrewj96 Nope. The person should be sent flowers. This is indeed could be the worst film ever. Thanks to Razzie for realizing that.

  • @TheAndrewj96 i had to check to make sure you were correct - I'm absolutely shocked - this is a truly great piece of acting! the razzie awards hold no merit anyways

  • @TheAndrewj96 i dont think u realize, the Razzies are and always have been utterly retarded. some of their "nominations" really arent even horrible performances, but to keep their sh1tty awards show going, they have to make some nominations, so dont take it too seriously

  • @TheAndrewj96 I admit that there are a lot of terrible movies out there and they unfortunatly sometimes get good credit but this movie definitely does NOT deserve any awards like that at all. it made a lot of people believe certain things .And the box office movies that are a megahit often have people brainwashed their taste in movies

this movie is scary because it explains what people would go through if things like this happens to them....

  • @TheAndrewj96 Fuck that, that movie was awful.

  • @TheAndrewj96

The Razzies are complete bullshit and totally shallow.

  • @TheAndrewj96 Yeah, this scene alone is enough to prove she shouldn't have even been nominated for a Razzie, let alone won it. The genuine terror she is conveying in this scene is so infectious, you know just watching it that the end is near. As for nominating it for Worst Picture, it's a low- budget indie film, what the hell did the Razzie guys expect from it?

  • there is many actors million times better than her

  • @TheAndrewj96 In the f*cking face.

  • If you understand how horror movies are supposed to scare you.. this movie will SCARE THE SHIT OUT OF YOU. I slept with the lights ON the night I saw this!!!!

  • This is one bullshyt movie. I encourage people not to watch this. It will be a waste of your time.

  • @thegiftedmedia Haha, you said pretty much the same thing on the paranormal activity 2 videos...got a personal vendetta against movies that scare your pampers off?

  • @dalta0110 What? I never made any comment about PA 2. Don't get me confused with anyone else and I reiterate what I said about this movie. A total waste of anybody's time. The script would make a better porno, at least then it would be mildly entertaining.

  • @thegiftedmedia My apologies mate, I had two windows open and I guess I commented on the wrong video

  • @thegiftedmedia ah nuh! its considered one of the scariest horror movies of all time

  • WOOHOO!! This was filmed at our local park :)

  • I added this scene as a sample in my Dark Dubstep Mix called 'The Apology' If you have the time Check it out :D Thanks x

    /watch?v=IyFkIez7p-Q&feature=channel_video_title

  • Anyone wanna guess what she's looking at near the end when she says "what is that?"

  • @ricochet188 she heard an owl outside and got scared because they were already beyond scared and were basically having psychological breakdowns.

  • @Django5198 boner kill dude, boner kill

  • ok what is the blair whitch

  • @1photoshow my grandmother

  • arguably, the scariest movie of all time

  • okay call me a noob im 22 i neevr seen this cna someone plz tell me the plot my gf wants me to watch it with her but im gonan be pissed not knowiwat its about can someone help me?

  • @SnM4vr1013 The entire plot is on wikipedia.

  • Eww her nose 2:09 xD

  • so WTF is this real or what??????

i always thaught this shit was real....

    and if its not BRAVO!!!!

  • @Daily0Dabble its not fucking real!

  • @whiteganser ROFL i realy thought it was real xD and it scared the shit out of me lol

  • @whiteganser Yes, they are physically scared in the film. they didnt know what was happening.

  • @frozenghost233 I need to know how to act like that! I'll practice

  • @frozenghost233 No you moron. They knew they were in a film about a witch, and they knew it was all fake. But, the film makers did torment them while filming by leaving them with little food, almost no supplies, and they were led by GPS's to checkpoints around the forest for each scene. Look it up...

  • @whiteganser I know they know they were in a film, dumb ass. And that's what i was talking about when I said that.

  • Okay... Just watched this movie (I know, way behind the times)... What am I supposed to be scared of? I know I'm supposed to be scared of the witch and/or the childkiller, but... I didn't really see enough to be afraid. I'm sorry, but the idea of something horrible just doesn't affect me as much as seeing something horrible. Could've at least just shown brief glimpses of the witch and/or childkiller, so we'd have something tangible to fear, but...

  • 3 people met the blair witch

  • I loved this movie but I never really cared for the way they did this scene.

  • Blow your god damned nose young lady!

  • gross

  • This is exactly the psychology of the weaker guy in the trek who has knee pain, is hungry, agitated and wants to break out but cant. This is reality.

  • @goldenbulletwolf666 its perfect acting. too good to make u think that

  • Ah sick, I can look right into her snotty nose :<

  • Heather was the typical arrogant stubborn woman type in the movie.

Its usually women like these that mess things up lol.

  • ive seen this movie tons of times and it still gets me

  • @imdacoolestguy this what happnes when you overdo crack !

  • @imdacoolestguy shut the fuck up. send me links to the so called proof.

  • @NorthEastFbs No pint dude, u r lost & brainwashed by the media, these lovely young people died in vain n then the bastards made a profit from it by releasing it to da stupid young people we had in the Gay 90's. Damn our cool generation r wayyyyyyyy more enlighten n shit, we party hard n seek da truth. RaSpex.

  • @imdacoolestguy dude this movie is fake its just like cloverfeild, and paranomal activity 1 and 2 calm down those people are still alive there actors

  • @chanXchan010 u heartless monster u, how dare u disraspex der memories, wen da truth comes out ull be soooooooooooooo sorry n will be embarrassed wit shame. Shame on u 4 wat u said n may god 4give u. RaSpex.

  • You cant criticize this movie because it isnt real. But still, an actress able of making us so freaking scared deserves major props.

  • i dont get it O_o

  • How the hell did they die? 1 guy just dissapeared and al the sudden his dead? i'm pretty sure you cant even see the monster or hobo or anything in this movie cause all i heard whas '' oh shit shit ohh shit oh my god few seconds later oh shit shit!! its just a tree oh shit shit shit!!' i dont get this movie.

  • @Bateend75 Dude!!!! A spirit is killing them! O course you can't see it

  • @Bateend75

The legend of the Blair Witch was fulfilled. They were ritually killed.

One guy disappeared because the witch got him. Or he became the same as Rustin Parr.

You're not supposed to see. Fear of the unknown is supposed to scare you more.

They had guys in white acting as ghosts shaking the tent and while they ran in the woods. If it happened to you, you'd be delusional too after all you went through, thought you were seeing things, or caught a glimpse saw what was after you.

  • this movie was clearly fake

    like member the end

    it was soo predictable

but watever ............. and also she has bogies eew

  • @EPICnonsence If this was you, I think you would have more then 'bogies' coming out of you.

    ....just saying.

  • The acting in Blair Witch project was beyond amazing, because the three actors are being themselves. It's classic, watched it on SYFY yesterday.

  • Best scene in the movie... I mean this part was just very emotional because I liked these characters, and I truly wished that they had been saved by someone. Yet, you just knew that they were going to die, so even having that belief was just sad wishful thinking.

  • In late 2010, four hexbugs went missing from a living-room habitat.

Months later this footage was unearthed...

    watch:

    'The Blair Hexbug Project'

  • This is just classic! :)

  • the woods is not a good place to go. I knew that before i watch this movie ..

  • @wizeladamska The way you look i wouldn't go anywhere. Ever. RaSpex.

  • Look who is talking. Fucking dum ugly ass !! i have an idea. go get lost somewhere !! maybe the woods.

  • Comment removed

  • well sry geez calm down I was saying, you don't have to go off on me
