I think you did an outstanding job on this project. Not only did you do a PSA on a growing concern for all parents but you chose one that you have a direct link to. I think without having to do this project you should have done one of these just to show what you have, that you cannot see this disorder from outside. I think it is only fair to allow your friends and family members to see that you most definitely have gotten an A on this project. Congrats and please keep up the good work!
Kara you did a wonderful job on this video with all the pictures that depict what we see and the text that tells a different story. It brought tears to my eyes and made me take the time to learn more about this disease. We all need to be more aware of this disease, how it's afflicting children. Thank you for the stats which makes our awareness even more important.
This is an awesome video baby. Gavin is our shining light and it is really nice to see the good times that we have had and how even autism has it's ups. This disability is so tough to deal with because the triggers are so unpredictable at times. You are such a great mom to Gavin and Jake, and they are so lucky to have you, as am I. You have made them to be such great little kids. We love you.
This video gave me chills. From someone who does not know what it is like to care for a child with autism it really paints a clear picture. You don't think about it until you see something like this that Autism really doesn't have a face. Great Job Kara!! Keep up the good work, we need more parents like you. Gavin is lucky to have you both!
Kara what an amazing and touching video.. I know how hard things can be as I live daily with a child with ADHD. Everyone should be aware of this and your video speaks a great voice. May god help you and your family cope with Autism.
wonderful video...and yes even this big guy shed some tears. you are both wonderful parents!!! im blessed to have shared this life with you and your family. most people tend to judge the kids or the parents. i feel that understanding is knowledge and knowledge is power. aside form the medical research LOVE is the next best thing for the children and both of you have plenty of love you have given them. it would be so easy to forget or over look but videos like this totally put a face on autism!
Kara this is such a beautiful video. I feel exactly the same way about my autistic 8 year old daughter. No one ever knows that she is autistic until I tell them (or if she is having one of her non-compliant moments).for the most part other people just don't understand unless they have lived it. It takes a strong person and he is doing so well becuase of all you provide for him. Early intervention really is key and this video is a perfect example of how beautiful autstic children are.
Kara & Rob Gavin is one of the lucky ones, he has you and Rob in his life to help him grow, learn and mature. I also have experience with autism my nephew has it and I am happy to say he will be turning 12 on Tuesday and is doing well! I pray this for Gavin and in the meantime keep on loving him no matter what it will be worth it in the end.
I really liked your presentation, very nicely done!!
Hey all!! This is a PSA I have to do for my psych class. Obviously my goal is to raise autism awareness and by doing this video I kill two birds with one stone!! The more feedback I get the better my grade and the more people that watch this the more awareness we achieve!! Autism Speaks!! It's time to listen!!

I love the selection of music. It's very fitting to the care you show these kids as well as the thought you put in to the video.
