They seem to just figure it out. I've found that my boys seem to like the jolly ball a lot more than my mares. Of course, my boys are much more playful than my mares, too. I've noticed that there are some horses that LOVE to play with jolly balls and some that really could care less about them. I'd say, if your horse is on the curious and playful side then he/she might enjoy one.
Neat! July 16th is not only Winston's birthday-- our son was born on the same day -- as well as his Great Uncle (and his twin brother)... July 16th is a great day!
Jolly Balls are GREAT! My dog LOVES her Jolly. She's had the horse kind as well as biggest dog. She is spastic about "play Jolly Ball"! We get excited when we see the racehorses with Jolly Ball on TV, and she hears that and is ready to go!
my friend has a horse who gets wuite bored easily and espesially when he severed ligaments in his leg and was in a stable for probably a year, but they say these jolly balls are invincible... not the 1 he got his teeth on lol. they resorted 2 giving him a milk bottle with a hole filled with pellets they replace the bottle every couple of hours lol, thankfully he is quite better now and can be worked again, he started 2 self mutilate
Very cute! I sometimes wish our horse would play with Jolly Balls, but he doesn't care about him. There was a pony at a stable we used to visit that apparently liked to hit other horses in the butt with his Jolly Ball if they wouldn't play.
he's cute! are you going to geld him?
