  • Do they play music when you are suffering a wound for 25 years ask a Vietnam Vet! Get rid of the music

  • Real clever showing Anti-aircraft weopons...

  • i plan on doing a tour or two as infantry in the Army as a Ranger but after that i'll either do security services as a PMC or maybe become a Helicopter Pilot (hopefully for SOAR) and THEN become a PMC. i suppose i'll throw to college into the mix as well for after i am done w/ all that fun stuff. : )

  • @ForceRecon198 who cares? lol

  • @Kevstu22 I do. No need to be a dick.

  • @ForceRecon198 hush no one wants to know ur future here.

  • @Kevstu22 Screw off.

  • Im going to join the ROTC now and im going for a Bachelors in aeronautic. can that give me a boost to have a chance to be a pilot in the army when i finished ROTC and be commissioned as an officer? and btw im 20/20

  • you can only be a warrant officer in the national guard?

  • band maste... WTF???

  • What are my chances of becoming a Warrant Officer?

    I am 24yrs old

I have a Private Pilot license & Intermediate Flight Knowledge

I'm GPA is not so great 2.4 with Completed Sophomore curriculum

With about 400hrs of flight time

    I'm 6'1 barefoot

    Also 2yrs of Lowe's Management

    Do I make the requirements

  • if youre a military pilot do u go up and fly everyday? i would imgaine that you dont but my dada was comsec usmc and when he took me to work he always had something to do. what do the pilots do if theyre not flying just sit around

  • I wish the Air Force would bring back Warrant Officers! A lot of AFSCs, MOS for you Army types, could be filled by Warrant Officers.

  • chief warrant officer 5 Saints, has no unit patch??? did u noticed that, but has a deployment platch under the flag????? hmmm

  • i am interested in ROTC and i would like to pursue a career in flying helicopters in the Army.

  • @chillaxer1993 If you're interested in flying look into the Army Warrant Officer Flight Training. If you go into ROTC you're not guaranteed your career field. In addition Commisioned Officers don't fly as much as the Warrants.

  • @HoveringDeath Exactly, plus you no longer fly after the rank of Captain and even though you commission in one field you are branched out in another (usually a combat arms field if you are a male.)

  • @chillaxer1993 sambut im not sure if you can do rotc and go to warrant officer school i pretty much have no idea wat to do... lol

  • anybody have any recommendations for studying for the pilot program? I just got out of the Marines as an infantry man six months ago and I would like to make a career as a pilot flying UH-60 helicopter for the Army. I am 30 years old so I am taking things seriouse now. The guy who interviews people for referrals for the flight program said I have till I'm 34 years old to be a pilot. Anybody have any advise who has or known anybody who has done this?

  • Does Canada have this too, if not is there something similar

  • Anyone suggest any good colleges to go to before going into WOCS/WOFT. I'm only a freshmen in high school, but I already know I want to be an aviator for NG

  • @MrTHEcrock you have a hell of a long way to go! 100 bucks you change your mind about the military by the time your a jounior...

  • @MrTHEcrock the best college to get into aviation is Embry Riddle. A majority of Army Aviators use this as their way into aviation.

  • Gold Flight graduation Class October 1986.

  • Thanks but I was told by compotent recruiter all I would need to do is complete WLC and put in for a age waiver; which would be easy in my MOS. I have somany civilian opportunities right now that I haved lost interest in a warrant officer career.lol

  • can warrant officers have tattoos below the elbow? like a black and white American flag?

  • looks emo

  • My dad was E7 before he moved to a Warrant Officer in the Active Army. He was Promoted to CW2 when he graduated the Warrant Officer School in FT huachuca in AZ. He retired as a CW3 with CW4 training and a possible promotion to CW4 but after 22 years he was tired of the Army. He was in Military Intelligence.

  • wow a warrant officer 5! nice!

  • Yeah yeah!!! Just got my AFAST results and I got a 148!

  • did you have any prior knowledge of Aviation? I want to do that too but im a little worried about the AFAST.

  • Dont worry about the AFAST just study for it. I did have some prior aviation knowledge coming from an aviation background in the Air Force. I didnt know all that much about helicopters so I went online and read as much as I could about basic helicopters, got an AFAST study guide from a Borders book store, and did the practice test it had in the book. A few parts of the test take some practice so its best to know whats on the test. Ill send you a study guide that might help.

  • No prior knowledge, just study!

  • Sweet, good job! Closest I've seen yet to my 165.

  • Nice! Are you done with WOCS?

  • Jan. 2010

  • Nice....i should be meeting the board in Jan 2010.

  • Cool, good luck. Just remember, be direct and decisive about your goals and accomplishments. If you are bound and determined you can do whatever you want in life.

  • @Icarusdecending82 question for you.. how hard was the afast test? i just bought the study guide book with the practice test.. i know i only have two shots to pass it. so i'm gonna study a bit before i go take it..

  • @ajballard41 it was fairly tough, what I did is I went through the test guide, copied down all helicopter terms I could find and then looked them up and read about them. Practicing cyclic movements and complex movements was also crucial. Complex movements is one you need a lot of practice doing.

  • What is the PT regiment like in WOCS? Im gettin ready to go and am wondering how conditioned I should be.

  • compared to basic or bnco, its a joke. go in with a score of 18- or better and youll be fine, and even if you dont, you can still prolly be ok.

  • 18-? Is that like 70 percent on the run, pushups, and situps?

  • oh whoops, sory, i meant to say 180, but a 70 on each would make life even easier i guess.

  • alright thanks a lot!

  • 70+70+70=210 not 180. Warrant Officer, hmmm???

  • @MikeColone clearly you didnt see my second post

  • I am 49 years old and have been a Sergenat in the Army National Guard for a bout a year now. I have an Associates degree in Automotive technology, 124, college, credits, and ASE master certification in Truck and Auto repair. I am completing my Bachelors in industrial management now. What are my chances of getting a waiver and becoming a warrant in the Army or Army National Guard(I have 6 years civilian experience and 14 Years guard- part time).

  • Zero to None, too old, sorry bud.

  • I am currently an e-4 SPC in the Army National Guard. I have a Bachelors Degree in General studies. I am debating weather I want to become a Warrant Officer or Commissioned Officer. I am in the process of enlisting in Advance OCS. After Advance OCS I know I can become A Warrant Officer instead of Commissioned Officer. My primary MOS is 68W Healthcare Specialist. In the Medical Corps there are Officers but no Warrant Officers. My secondary MOS is 92Y Unit Supply Specialist.

  • If warrant officers are so squared away, where the hell is his unit patch? Isn't he supposed to have his uniform in tip top shape?

  • Comment removed

  • sometimes i wish i had enlisted and gone WOCS instead of ROTC. now i have to compete with others to branch Aviation (which wont be too hard) but when i commission as 2LT i will probably only get to fly for 8 years while warrant officers fly for the rest of their ARMY careers.

  • MDANG here,F'n Hooah to all the brothers and sisters in the guard.

  • You all just fucking pussys, stay home and keep writing shitty comments. Good Luck:)

  • Like you would know the first thing about protecting your country with an attitude like that. I'm glad you would rather go to a Civilian College.

  • @Viking445

    Smug comment

  • Ask yourself: Do I blame the soldiers who fight for the American Way of Life? Or do I blame Americans who drive gas guzzling vehicles?

  • It would not matter if every walked and rode fucking horses.

In order to reverse the oil glut of EVERY Nation would be to do with out EVERYTHING from or by petroleum.

Saying "drive a hybrid" is like asking someone to stop smoking while the forest burns.

  • driving a hybrid doesnt solve the problem, it just slows it down

  • You know what the hardest part about serving this country is Jeff? Knowing that if I die I would have died fighting for ungreatful bastards like yourself.

  • @Icarusdecending82 jeff

    ?

  • You don't have what it takes to be a team member or to serve others. Go ahead and go to your bullshit college and have your mind screwed up by the liberal agenda. Good luck ass weed. The rest of us will defend your freedom to be a heartless dick.
