@IceXMan87 i agree. i mean, not with the Polish thing, since i am almost completely of Mexican ancestry, but what you were saying with the protagonist. never have i seen a protagonist with such depth and character like the man in this movie. the secene at the end where he finally redeems himself - i'm not sure of what, but there is redemption there - will be one of my favorite scenes until the day i die.

I felt the performances of all the actors were Real, Authentic, & a Part of My Life. Clint was outstanding. My neighbors in East Oakland acted exactly like the Asians in this movie...all the way down to huge shyness in the male son. Living in Asia for 2 years, I really appreciated the authentic racism because it exists all over the world...America Is Tame.

Just watched the movie and i have to disagree with those guys,as it was mediocre at best and forgettable among other Eastwood movies.The narrative seems artificial and the relationship between Eastwood´s carachter and the imigrant family is rushed. To make things worse,the acting from all the cast except Eastwood sucks donkey ass (i thought Tao was retarded). The ending doesn´t save this movie, as it was too melodramatic, some parts were ridiculous and it actually ruined it for me. Disapointment

I am going to watch this movie a couple more times, it was brillant. This movie is up there with District 9, Taken, and adventure as my favoriate movies of the year so far.
