Is your truck tuned for the cams?

I have an 07 with the 4.6 in it. Haven't gotten a programmer as of yet but curious if you left the stock gears in or not. Haven't checked what they came with. Was there a noticeabl difference in power and acceleration especially at highway speeds? I do a lot of highway driving for work and spend most of the time at around 140-150km/h but when I have to low and wait to pass I find the truck feels sluggish. Programmer help that at all?

@DaJokrz i have the same problem! ive tryed tuner new intake fuel filter running synthtic oil...hasnt done anything except i did notice with the tuner at a 30mph cruise or anything higher when i give it full throtle it goes fast but off the line it sucks ass

did you change you gauge cluster out. and if you did how did you change your miles back to the orginal miles on the truck. or did you just leave it with the miles that were on the cluster when you got it.

As far a the 1/4 mile times I would assume it's somewhere at 15 something, however I'll be using the truck to pull the mustang to the track

Towing was affected too, still pulls the boat well... Fuel consumption when pulling the boat is about 14 MPG h-way now

I would not suggest cams in a truck, h-way MPG was about 20 before... Now it's about 17

@ERICLSTRUNK There is a lot to be said for a 6,000 lb truck to move as well as it does with that little V8. I have an 06, that is loaded down with 2 tool chests, that are packed full and a ladder rack, with a 24' ladder. I'm amazed that these little V8's run as well as they do

hi i have a 2005 f150 4 door 4.6 and i tried goin all the way but idk if it the goverment chip or the weight of my truck but it stops at 4 rpms and stops st 95 mph or so

Sick truck man. Im guesing most of your power came from the cam and springs. Wondering where u got the stage 2 cam and spring kit from. I have been looking and most are for the 3v engine.

@jamasterj137 actually, in this video I didn't yet complete the computer programming. It runs a lot better once we got the truck on the dyno to tune. I'm going to try and get another video on here but work keeps me busy. If my truck wasn’t 4x4 the next thing I would got for is gears. To be honest the headers really helped a lot. Good luck man!

Nice, I have comp cams SPR cams too. But on the 3v 5.4 motor. Why are you using an edge programmer? You really should have a custom dyno tune with SCT.
