There were cases during WWII where the entire crew(a complement of around 150-200 for a typical destroyer)was lost after a submarine torpedo strike so-yes... Those under the deck have practically no chances of survival...

(of course - sometimes a torpedo hit is less catastrophic than this; As these were peacetime exercises-I assume the attackers had plenty of time and premeditation to aim the torpedo so it breaks the vessel' s back and sinks her in a matter of seconds)

@MegaThrowaway Torpedos nowadays got upto 8km or more cable draging after it... which is used to steer the torpedo, no need to aim

Vi har en topografi som er perfekt for geriljakrig, fly som kan lette vertikalt,kamphelikopter, små tette flybaser i skogen/bunkere, ubåter, verdens dypeste fjorder.. allikevel; norge har bygd ned hele forvaret, kun to flybaser igjen,(fine mål), hæren eksisterer så godt som ikke, og vi kjøper amerikanske møkkafly til 70 milliarder kroner. kan noen fortelle meg hva som foregår? :S

Bygg ned hele forsvaret, (som ikke er forsvaret lenger , men "angrepet, hele ideen var tuftet på at vi som nasjon kun skulle beskytte egne grenser), skrot ubåtene, (vi har verdens dypeste fjorder,why???), drit i kamphelikopter, men kjøp dritfly fra USA til 70 milliarder. hipp hurra for norge.svenskene har verdens beste ubåter, og egne fly, og de er nøytrale! og har dårligere økonomi... tenk på det..

no, it was a torpedo. A hellfire would not break the back of a ship, or create that kind of damage. The periscope view at the start is a bit of a give-away too
