@Defuf Our response cars can be either PCP or ACP - same schooling (just extra for the ACPs of course). The only difference between the first response and the ambulance is simply that the response units cannot transport the patient. They can go on many minor calls, so an ambulance doesn't have to attend - calls where minor first aid only is required. And there are many of them floating around the city, not tied up in hospitals like the ambulances so they get there sooner.
@Iridium725; the Ministry of Health in Ontario has only certified two manufacturers for the production of ambulances in Ontario; Crestline and Demers, so unless the Sprinters become part of the design by either one of those manufacturers, which I haven't seen, then it's highly unlikely. There's only one transfer service (non-EMS) I've seen that uses the sprinters.
Does anyone happen to know if either Toronto or York Region EMS are going to get any Dodge Sprinters anytime? I hear they're great trucks, very practical.
@Iridium725 boubt it..put possible i guess......you dont see many of those stilled vehichals in canada........but in europe thats all theyve got....(not doges tho) lol
@Iridium725 I don't think any EMS will be using Dodge Sprinters anytime soon. The only medical service I know uses Dodge Sprinters is CMR and I've been told the patient sits right over the rear wheel and they can feel alot of the bumps.
You mean the yellow's on the back? That's based on the idea that red light attracts the eye but yellow does not. Hence why tow trucks are rarely run into on the side of the road. Once traffic's cleared you don't need a red on the rear, just yellow cautions.
heres the deal: i prefer blue lights because after yellow and white light, it is the light that is most easily seen. red light for example, is similar to black light, and does not carry far, source: armies use red light instead of white to make sure that enemies do not spot them so easily.
also, every car has red lights and white lights on it.

Defuf 1 year ago
@Defuf it's not a Toronto supervisor - it's a response unit. They get there as first response before the ambulance.

it seems not smart to me to have the lights the same color as brake lights and my flashlight.
