Toney v Hopkins would be a great fight. Toney was more fluid with his combinations and more adept at creating openings with feignts. Hopkins was more disciplined, level headed and cerebral. In many ways, they would match up in such a way as to neutralize the other's strengths. They would both have to dig deep. It would be one for the ages.
@PrimeDirector If I remember correctly, they were in negotiations to fight in September, 2003 for Toney's newly won cruiserweight title. I remember B-Hop had to come in at atleast 175 or something. I was very intrigued by that fight but it never materialized.

@PrimeDirector If I remember correctly, they were in negotiations to fight in September, 2003 for Toney's newly won cruiserweight title. I remember B-Hop had to come in at atleast 175 or something. I was very intrigued by that fight but it never materialized.

i agree that this is the best performance of toney's career. he was punch perfect in every round.....i want to see toney fight again soon or at least get a fight signed. he would be a good test for arreola. i think he could beat arreola.

It really is good to see the annoying Barkley get his due by Toney. Barkley was never really a boxer but a brawler. He got himself a true boxing lesson by JT.
