  • lol

  • this was written with the altoids keyboard

  • i was thinking about making this for a project but mine is messy how did you cut the tin???

  • vista SUCKS

  • @MHRCODProductions Indeed it does. Basic even more so, as that laptop was running.

  • @Blackthorne32 you get used to it tho

  • damn good idea!

  • This was so easy thanks for the idea

  • how much would you sell one for?

  • Music sounds like something i heard on nfs 3 hot pursuit.for ps1 I think I'm right on this

  • @mnalls2000 Yes, it is! lol good ear! still the best NFS IMO.

  • Yeah this is what i do everyday, i have empty can lying around and making optical mouses :DDDD

Thats pretty cool, maybe tut about making it?

  • this is so creative please upload another vid about how to make it

  • @Danielhockeydude I took it out cause this way it looks more like a normal Altoids tin. It is still possible to scroll without a wheel.

  • thats awsome

  • How did you cut the slits so nice?

  • where can i find one of those

  • how did u do the buttons? id really like to make one

    thanks -evan

  • you should put a mini fan in where the empty space is for your hand.

  • @mkerbker Yeah, thats a good idea! I think a small CPU fan might fit in there, I'd have to check. Thanks, though I never thought of that.

  • you should consider putting a mini computer fan in there then cutting slats in the top of the tin to make a fan for your hang

  • can u make a tut ??

  • i dont have that laptop!

  • is that a lenovo?

  • Nope, Acer Aspire 5315...it was actually kinda a crappy computer, even when i bought it...slow and overheated way too much, and a dismal 1 1/2 hour battery life at Balanced. ...since been replaced by an HP G60 and like it alot better. Acer's high-end stuff is great, but im staying away from their budget lines in the future.

  • I own that exact same laptop O.e now im thinking of actualy making this

  • same laptop as me!!!!

  • imma make one of these with an old mouse i have laying around im gonna give it a retractable cord so its portable also did us just atke apart a mouse? cya man this is awsom

  • Yup, that's pretty much what i did...took out the components, put them in the tin, and put something on the button tabs i made to extend them to the buttons on the circuit board. Good luck with yours! and yes, the retractable chord is a good idea. Oh, and at first i tried a wireless mouse so it would actually look like an unmodified Altoids tin, but the metal blocked the signal, so i couldn't get it to work.

  • you know what imma do?

    IMMA FIRIN MAH LAZOR!!!! BHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!

  • really......COOL

    BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

  • I too must say something about this...

SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • im gonna make a ball mouse one because im cheap XD

  • song from need for speed!

  • what did you use to cut the left and right clickers

  • If you mean the tabs for the buttons I used a cheap little hand drill with a cutting wheel on it, but a Dremel would have done the job faster, but I don't have one and they're expensive

  • thank you but whats a dremel im sure my dad has one he is 60 and still crafting and sculpting with wood and metal

  • he most likely has one then...it looks like a mini grinder and Dremel is the actual brand name so it would be on the tool somewhere

  • ok thanks man imsurely making one

  • I love wintergreen altoids!!!

  • thats still pretty cool good job man :D but why would u take a part a old mouse just something to do

  • Song?

  • It's called Romulus 3. It's from Need for Speed 3. I got it off of youtube, I don't know if they ever made a soundtrack album for it. It has good music, so i hope they did...

  • lol nice

  • wow! i am in the middle of an altoids tin project myself. this is next on my list :D i also like how you just cut in the front for the buttons. good job! do more! im subscribing :)

  • lol thanks! and to make the cuts I just used a cheap little rotary tool I had laying around. There's better stuff out there, I guess they're called dremels. lol I went through about 5 cutting wheels, but it worked! Good luck with your projects!

  • awesome!! but is there click buttons?

  • it's got both left and right buttons, but i couldn't figure out how to integrate the wheel so i removed it...

  • I saw another guy make one, not sure if its on YouTube, but he cut a slit in the middle for the wheel. And the button are on the side.

  • thats fuckin awsome

  • youj shoulda used a red tin can, it woulda looked more cool with the light

  • I know. I just used that cause it's my favorite flavor, and i like blue.

  • there is a freaking mini mouse inside that!

  • yeah...not sure if this is positive or negative, but yes, i took apart a mouse and put it in there

  • ok,

    pretty awsome

  • so does it work or not?

  • uh...yeah, i moved the camera so it was at the mouse and the screen...
