  • Is it any wonder why S-J were the darlings of so many millions during the 1950s ? As divine as Lataji's voice is here and elsewhere, a whole lot of MDs contributed to her glory and in the process earned glory themselves. S-J were in that top league. A wonderful upload again, Ajay.

    Well said. There is no match for SJ's melody. Of course I cannot forget to add Shailendra and Hasrat, the four of them together were simply un-paralled in the history of music. Latha was at her best too. Her voice was prestine like crystal clear water flowing down from glaciers.

  • Yes, no doubt. Great lyricists are often not recognized for their valuable role in great music. The ones you mentioned plus others in other movies (Sahir Ludhiyanvi, Kaifi Azmi, Rajinder Krishan, Shakeel Badayuni, and many more) formed a poetic galaxy that has remained unequaled to this day in our movie world.
