How would you mount a fan + a radiator underneath the top part of the case?
The black screws that come with my corsair 650D are not long enough to reach the radiator (XSPC RS 240), and also the long screw that come with the radiator fall through the holes because the head (where you screw) is too small.
i dont understand why people put the radiators on the top (hot air rises) so you will be giving the water cooler more heat than if you mount it on the bottom with fans sucking air into the case just simply put exhaust fans on the top then you will be in for a better cooling temperature
you raised a very good point (my radiator is on the bottom of my case) but consider the fact that most of the heat producing components are gonna be cooled by the radiator, the air rising from inside the case (around 24°c air cooled) is significantly cooler than the heat the radiator absorbs from the water cooled components, it think it's fine
I want to hang a 480mm rad on the back of my antec 1200. Do you know they best way to support it there? I can't find any suitable brackets that look like they could hold the weight securely.
This may be a question you can,t answer but do you no if on the cm stacker 830 at the back is their a place for a rad? cuz to me it looks like a 80mm with no holes =/
no ... you want it to be silent. think of a whistle. waht happens if you blow on a sharp edge ? second if you run fans on 5V they might not be strong enough to get the air out
Great tutorial as usual. I have a Lian Li V2000 with two rads in the lower cavity. One with 2 80mm fans and one with a single 120mm. It's working well.
When will you make the video about how to run the pump on it's own to first pump the water around the system?
nice videos. i have one silly question. are the top mounted fans pulling air upward thru radiator from inside case or are they pushing air downward thru rad. into case?
Wow, you sure know what your doing =) watched nearly all of your guides, a good guide however (If you haven't already done it and i haven't seen) would be to then connect the chipset, the voltage regulators and the cpu block together, u know with the tubing. Would be a good start to end education. Great work.

@MrGrandDragon They usually come with the special radiator plate. If not included just buy some at a home depot. :-)

is it better to set the fans on push or pull?
kogarona 1 year ago
@kogarona .. i prefer pulling . pushing is louder
ModMyMachine 1 year ago
@ModMyMachine have you ever tried two outer fans pushing in and the middle fan pulling?

Isnt it better to have the fans beneath the radiator blowing the cold air trough it and out?
Do radiators come with the right screws ?
MrPhenom74 2 years ago
@MrPhenom74 normaly screws come with the bezel .. pulling is my favourite other is louder

ipullstuffapart 2 years ago
1. you get more dust from the floor inside
2. all hardware gets hotter air
3. it doesn´t affect the computer if you have 1° C plus because of the top mounting.
4. in most cases you don´t have space on the bottom

we don´t carry any ... so i don´t tell ;-) in fact i don´t know if there are any brackets

holy shit. 1.) where did you find a 480mm rad? 2.) not a chance. don't think any case/ bracket supports that.

Is it not feasible to mount the radiator between the fans and the case?
So then the fans are blowing directly onto the radiator whilst pushing the hot air out...
naloac 3 years ago
no ... you want it to be silent. think of a whistle. waht happens if you blow on a sharp edge ? second if you run fans on 5V they might not be strong enough to get the air out

angeltech1 4 years ago
upward, normally it makes no sense to blow hot ait into the case. you will also have more noise when blowing air in.
ModMyMachine 4 years ago
just wondering, does putting a radiator in the top like this prevent you from using the highest PCI slot on your motherboard?
tehsimo 4 years ago
On this case yes. On normal ATX cases no.
