  • How would you mount a fan + a radiator underneath the top part of the case?

The black screws that come with my corsair 650D are not long enough to reach the radiator (XSPC RS 240), and also the long screw that come with the radiator fall through the holes because the head (where you screw) is too small.

  • @MrGrandDragon They usually come with the special radiator plate. If not included just buy some at a home depot. :-)

  • What song is this in beginning? PM please!

  • @Plep92 named on end of vid ;-)

  • @ModMyMachine But I couldn't find anything by inserting "The Comedown" in search engine.

Can you send me a link?

  • @Plep92 send me a message with song and your mailadress. the comedown doesnt exist anymore. friends of mine

  • love your videos!!! do i have to drill screw hole for any case if i wanted to mount my rad?

  • @kachunwong628 some cases have radiator options

  • THANKS YOU!

  • @2danimm no ... thanks to you :-)

  • @ModMyMachine thanks for thanking him

  • is it better to set the fans on push or pull?

  • @kogarona .. i prefer pulling . pushing is louder

  • @ModMyMachine have you ever tried two outer fans pushing in and the middle fan pulling?

  • @MJBDC07 the middle fan will take out the warm air then :-)

  • hi would like to water cool my computer.

do u have a shop or something and where is it if u have one?

  • @invertAb13 closed my shop a year ago .. check caseking.de

  • Isnt it better to have the fans beneath the radiator blowing the cold air trough it and out?

Do radiators come with the right screws ?

  • @MrPhenom74 normaly screws come with the bezel .. pulling is my favourite other is louder

  • i dont understand why people put the radiators on the top (hot air rises) so you will be giving the water cooler more heat than if you mount it on the bottom with fans sucking air into the case just simply put exhaust fans on the top then you will be in for a better cooling temperature

  • 1. you get more dust from the floor inside

    2. all hardware gets hotter air

    3. it doesn´t affect the computer if you have 1° C plus because of the top mounting.

    4. in most cases you don´t have space on the bottom

  • you raised a very good point (my radiator is on the bottom of my case) but consider the fact that most of the heat producing components are gonna be cooled by the radiator, the air rising from inside the case (around 24°c air cooled) is significantly cooler than the heat the radiator absorbs from the water cooled components, it think it's fine

  • gravity?

  • do all the necessary bolts come with the readiator? if not then where do you get them?

  • coming with the mounting plate ;-)

  • What case were you using?

  • Lian Li V-1000 B

  • I want to hang a 480mm rad on the back of my antec 1200. Do you know they best way to support it there? I can't find any suitable brackets that look like they could hold the weight securely.

  • we don´t carry any ... so i don´t tell ;-) in fact i don´t know if there are any brackets

  • holy shit. 1.) where did you find a 480mm rad? 2.) not a chance. don't think any case/ bracket supports that.

  • This may be a question you can,t answer but do you no if on the cm stacker 830 at the back is their a place for a rad? cuz to me it looks like a 80mm with no holes =/

  • no, ask coolermaster ... ;-)

  • Ok =D

  • excellent videos. I liked the rap on part one though at the beginning ;)

  • the rap song and this one are our title songs. you caqn listen to the full one on our big vids. just visit our homepage

  • thanks u rock

  • is it possible to use any other fans then the fans that follow the radiator?

  • sure ... any 12 cm fans

  • ^^ haha...

  • :-)

  • Why is there a naked guy on your wall?

    Anyway great tutorial...

  • naked guy ?? take a look at my vid i posted under video responses ;-)

i´ll tell Monica that you think her beautiful body is a guys one

  • lol you moron

  • Did u say that the fan is gonna cool air on the radiator or get the hot air outa the radiator?

  • hot air off the radiator

  • Good tutorial. I'm thinking about going WC'ing for Nehalem, it's not really worth it with my E3110 ATM. And your English is great.

  • thx ... some kind of german accent is allowed ;-)

  • How do you know if the fan is blowing in or out?

  • look on the side of the fan .. there are marks for the direction

  • Thanks for this :D

  • @Badie05 thanks to you :-)

  • WOW big radiator :D

  • we even got bigger ones ;-) so not that big at all

  • Really Like Your tutorials - your english is fantastic (wish my german was as good lol)

  • thx a lot :-)

  • Is it not feasible to mount the radiator between the fans and the case?

So then the fans are blowing directly onto the radiator whilst pushing the hot air out...

  • no ... you want it to be silent. think of a whistle. waht happens if you blow on a sharp edge ? second if you run fans on 5V they might not be strong enough to get the air out

  • Thank you for the reply. I am looking to set up 2 seperate WC loops in an Aurora 570, so trying to find out what I need to do...

  • check out wizdforums for input ;-)

  • what is the radiator you are using in this video?

  • its an aqua computer airplex XT 360

  • Great tutorial as usual. I have a Lian Li V2000 with two rads in the lower cavity. One with 2 80mm fans and one with a single 120mm. It's working well.

When will you make the video about how to run the pump on it's own to first pump the water around the system?

    Cheers

    Phil

  • will do one soon

  • nice videos. i have one silly question. are the top mounted fans pulling air upward thru radiator from inside case or are they pushing air downward thru rad. into case?

  • upward, normally it makes no sense to blow hot ait into the case. you will also have more noise when blowing air in.

  • just wondering, does putting a radiator in the top like this prevent you from using the highest PCI slot on your motherboard?

  • On this case yes. On normal ATX cases no.

  • ur machine case are unusual man....u cut the upper case or its originaL???

  • Thats a LinLi case the V1000. The mainborad rtray is reverse in this case.

And yes i cut the hole in the original case.

  • haha stange Hiper poster :P

  • There are two more posters .. showing much more. ^^

  • Wow, you sure know what your doing =) watched nearly all of your guides, a good guide however (If you haven't already done it and i haven't seen) would be to then connect the chipset, the voltage regulators and the cpu block together, u know with the tubing. Would be a good start to end education. Great work.

  • already on my ToDo List ;-)

  • haha

  • erm...um...um...very...um..good...video.

  • ;-) try yourself

  • Nice and simple.

    Love Aqua Computer gear. <3

  • Me too.
