I think and believe Indian Women hair is the way it is because of their race, culture, genes. All race hair is not gonna get like theirs I dont care what you do to it. You can do everything this Indian Woman did in her video for 5 years and its not gonna be like hers or as long cause what might work for them not gonna work for other races im just saying. Alot of people might not agree with me but hey its my opinion. Do what works for your hair.
@upsbabygirl18 nothing special....regular oil massage to roots with pure coconut oil or olive oil, using organic shampoos and keeping hair clean with good diet.
@upsbabygirl18 nop she uses vatika hair oil,,,u get these oils in us and canada in inidan stores. amla oil is also good or parachute coconut oil also u get lot of herbal shampoos or powders such as shikakai.
@Tervnut depends on the time i have. most times i apply previous night of shampoo and let it soak overnight. if u don't like to keep overnight, keep at least 3-4 hrs before shampoo and apply steam towel in that case.
Perfect!!! I was waiting for you to stand so that I could see the length of your hair, and I must say...that is the perfect length my hair will be. Beautiful.
Beautiful hair. I pretty much do the same as she does .... Pre shampoo with oil, shampoo, rinse and I dont think she conditioned but i do. Its really that simple! In my dad's homeland of Trinidad (which has many many descendants of Indians) the indo women are very basic with hair carevas well. Cheers!
Hope you are doing good. I am fine. I commented here to THANK YOU. As per your advice, i'm using Mahabringraj oil and a herbal hair wash powder. I can feel the change, I am so happy that my hair has grown to half my thigh length. I have increased the protein intake in my diet. Its a sheer God's grace to have long hair!! And we people are blessed to have some one like you to guide us in the right way. Thank you very much Tomkots.
dearest tomkots, i'm having a coconut oil problem, i was using parachute oil and did not have much of a problem. now i'm using tropical traditions and it seems to be drying out my hair. what am i to do? i bought it for my hair, don't really intend to eat it and it's too expensive to throw away or give away. is it safe to use products w/ mineral oil if you wash your once a week and clarify 1 time a month? don't alot of indian hair care products contain mineral oil?
hi tomkots, i have really tightly coiled african textured hair. i know you suggest oiling hair before shampooing, but do you suggest conditioning after shampooing or using a deep conditioner after shampooing?
does she also usae Amla, Shikakai and Kapoor Kachli? I'm really attracted to these powders and ghassoul! I would like to try :) What do you reccomend for grow hair faster?
@30Betta there is no magic formula to grow hair faster. these things help: eat lot of protein, greens. regularly apply oil twice a week. give some steam towel wrap before shampoo and use non chemical shampoo and trim ends every 2-3 months. best luck. BTW, she uses amla shampoo.
@30Betta u can find it in asian indian stores. i use coconut oil most times but sometimes u get amla oil with olive oil in asian indian stores which is also great. the one used here is basically coconut with lot of good herbs in it....vatika hair oil with extracts of heena, lemon in it.
@tobeedetermined there are couple of good oils available in asian indian stores: parachute coconut oil, amla oil (gooseberry), olive and amla oil and there is shikakai oil as well.
Shikakai powder is natural form of shampoo made from herb. Another ones are Nyle shampoos, Vatika shampoo. There might be some available in pharmacies around like green tea shampoo and all.
simple :) never cut short, only trim at ends, apply heavy oil once a week, shampoo with organic non chemical products twice a week, eat lot of protein.
i don't mean to be rude but theres a shit ton of people out there with cancer who have NO hair and she can give away AT LEAST 10 wigs with that selfishly condoned trail of protein and STILL have trouble reaching the end of it with her comb. but hey, we all have our nonsensical beliefs and traditions. i guess i shouldn't knock it. but i did anyway because i'm a stuck up american
@mikejmv88 So then no one is allowed to have long hair because the only thing growing hair for is to give to people with cancer? If I had cancer I'd be grateful to the people who donated, but I wouldn't shun those who have long hair. I'd praise them for their ability to grow it and have it to nurture. If you don't donate hair how about you start growing and giving it away and let us nurture what nature gave to us.
Frequently under long hair videos, I read that there is a steam towel process before washing the oil out. But how do you get your towel to be steaming? Do you/does the woman in the video that too? I have always had long hair, but due to breakage and hair dying, I had to cut it shorter. Now I still suffer from a lot of hair loss, so I oil my hair twice a week (soaking) and wash it out with natural shampoo and conditioner. Still, when it dries naturally, it's somewhat dry and rough
@marshmellowgoodnes97 best hair oil is parachute coconut hair oil, dabur amla or vatika are good as well. these are for regular use. there is one more good for hair growth and prevent dandruff: mahabhrungraj hair oil by baidyanath. for shampoos, these are few good ones: vatika shampoo, ayur shampoo. i prefer heena or shikakai shampoos. there is a shikakai powder as well good for washing once a week: meera shikakai powder.
Is it okay to oil the hair little bit everyday instead of oiling it with large amounts twice a week? Because I apply a little amount of oil but i apply it everyday. And I wanted to clarify if these women with long hair dry their hair after washing, under the fan or do they let the hair dry naturally?
@sheera786 applying oil everyday is not bad but it will make ur scalp oily and itchy. also, oily hair attract lot of dust which cause dandruff etc. these women dry hair naturally in sun or under the fan if they want to dry faster.
@tomkots speak for urself i will oil and shompoo but there is no way that i'm gong without my relaxer. and just 2 let u know that trick dose not work on all types of hair if i jus oil mi hair one a week and i wash my hair every single week my hair will be Very dry and thats without the relaxer
Shampoo and Coconut Hair Oil companies should advertise their product and encourage women to grow long hairs so that long hairs women look beautiful. This way their products get sold in large quantities due to big quantity of hairs on women's head, companies get profit and preserve the original beauty of the women.
nice to see tomkot back with such a nice video after quite long time..in this new thing was the towel drying..its superb..if you have such kind of towel drying videos please post more...always thanks to you for these videos..waiting for more new year gifts from you....
how often do you wash your hair?? and what do you do about knots and tangles??? m hair is very curly and i get a lot of knots a tangles that tend to break off my hair...
@livehappy2009 I've heard from various cultures, including Indian, to make a mixture of 1 egg yolk, a few drops of lemon, and an oil of your choice (most use olive oil, since it is also used for cooking). Lemon will bleach your hair in the sun and raw egg can make you sick, so I just stick with rubbing down my hair and scalp once a week with oil as well as take vitamin E and C supplements. Sometimes I pop open a vitamin capsule and add it to the oil to help with hair breakage. It works great!
@livehappy2009 no secret, just simple concept: apply oil once or twice a week, wash with non chemical based shampoos and don't abuse. Offcourse, diet and genes play some role.
