  • I want to buy this!!! Now!!!

  • Outrageously cool!

  • SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

  • I think this is possibly the very coolest thing I have ever seen!

  • You could slant the table toward the the paddles and increase the push the paddles use on the ball

  • MAYBE THE SIDES NEED A KICKER LIKE THE SLINGSHOTS IN A PINBALL...THE KICKERS JUST ABOVE THE FLIPPERS TO GIVE THE BALL JUST A LITTLE KICK WHEN HIT :) LOOKS GOOD

  • Thumbs up for a dream coming true!!!

  • OMG your so f++kng nerds.... sorry but is true

  • do you plan to sell this?

  • You could curve the plate :) Really good :)

  • Dude your stuff is SO DAMN AWESOME.... they should sell this stuff. instead of those shitty plastic pokemon thingies which will break in 2 minutes

  • :P :D

  • UPLOAD VID HOW TO BUILD ONE!!! I WANT TO BUILD ONE!!!

  • if you make the table in the shape of a roof then the ball would always roll down....very very low angle required though like 1 or 2 degrees so the ball doesnt have a hard climb.....make the peak the centre line

    awesome stuff

  • @hez1919 The second version, which we made several months ago, does have a slope, and works much better.

  • @oskay awesome sauce :)

  • I should try this, but with a modified air hockey table. Great work on the tabletop by the way.

  • how about bumpers along the top and bottom?

  • @WTFA54 The spring strips on the top and bottom are extremely effective; now that the ball no longer stops in the middle, you can get two or more bounces in a pass.

  • That is wonderfully clever. I hope you guys are going to market that thing.

  • it could be better if it had some kind of "air bag" technology, like air hockey or something

  • this is probably the most amazing pong game on the planet...if it were coin operated then this would make TONS of money

  • What it needs is a playfield that isn't flat, but with each half slightly sloped toward that player's paddles, like a very shallow inverted V.

  • @EalaDubh The current version does, and it works quite well.

  • three things that would make this amazing...

Gaaraofthesandcastle's idea of the "air hockey" style of having the air jets

two, have it as an automatic scoring system, not a huge deal if not, just would make it less of a hastle to always be turning the dial for every goal

third, instead of the knobs to turn it, have it as a "stick" on each end respectively to control the flipper (ex. the same way you control the goalie on most table hockey games)

love the idea though, I'd totally buy it!

  • Amateurs...

  • Could you PLEASE send me a copy?

  • lol xD funny

  • maybe a lighter weight ball?

  • does it activate the bumpers(the flip from the white paddles) automatically or do you have to push a button?

  • @cksugdad It's automatic.

  • that's wicked.

  • I would but one

  • awesome! what would be cool is if you just added a little piston on each side for auto launching

  • i wiiish i had thattt.

  • that bitch got owned

  • Well, what if the circle in Pong isn't a ball, but a disc, or a puck of some sort, then it would be very similar to a limited form of Air Hockey, which in itself is a limited form of hockey. The limitation is that you can only move the paddle in 1 dimension as opposed to the 2 in Air Hockey.

Air Hockey would over come your issues with the ball slowing down, the paddles not bouncing hard enough and gravity having a significant influence.

Of course this is more interesting.

  • why not make the glass like a concave sort of bend

  • epic laughter!!! 1:18 !!

  • Keep this stuff coming.

  • i will pay you so much money for this.

  • cool

  • öööö :p

  • While you're at it, yeah, America could use a second generation Space Shuttle replacement vehicle, okay. I got the abandoned warehouse and and all the Mexican laborer you'll need. Chop-chop, get a move on, the future of the Internet depends upon you.

  • heres an idea, make the paddles kick a tiny bit harder, and make the center of the table a slightly high point so you dont get anymore dead balls.

  • keep it up

  • next step: table galaga

  • i think it looks really cool but just a tip to make it look even better cover up the sides so you don't see the the mechanism that kicks the paddle also a auto sever would be nice other than that it seems like something i'd buy

  • it would slide better and not get stuck in the middle if you used an air hockey table (maybe modify it a bit)

  • Perhaps you should give the slightest angle to each side of the board going towards the paddles so it doesn't stop but it can still easily make it over the bump in the middle form slopping them

  • Or a different ball with more rebound effect. Seems like that's a heavy stainless steel ball-bearing. And yes they do need some slope, lol.

  • pointless?

  • make the walls just like the paddles, one big bumpbar. itll give it the fast action of real pong as well as fix your lacking ball attack

  • i like it:P

  • HEY I THINK UR TABLES UNEVEN!! lol just kidding

  • xbox 9000..:) at age ten I played the original game of this..was so amazing then!

  • Nobody gives a fuck. Do you actually think people care if you played the original game of this when you were ten? You must be a stupid American.

  • @peacenlove4every1 well holy damn your name must have been made while you were high or something and if you werent high then it could be something else but your name seems to be a joke to what you said. next time just dont be a dick about it you must be a stupid "non" american

  • @peacenlove4every1 Dude, go lie down in a hole and die please.

  • stupid american is a pleonasm. learn your english.

  • Comment removed

  • LOLOLOLOLOL Your comment is both hilarious and very true. BTW, I bet most Americans won't understand your comment.

  • oh, and so is fat american and a few others just so you know and avoid using them.

  • THE MORE YOU KNOW! *star inexplicably trailed by a rainbow shoots across the screen*

  • @peacenlove4every1 haha And do you think anyone gives a fuck that you give a fuck? You must be a pompous European. BTW you fail as a troller.

  • HI! You missed it! I'm from Hungary! I'm rally happy you answered!! :)

I wih you had a nice day like mine..cheers :)

  • i want one now!!!!!

  • PLS do space invaders next!

  • You should really sell that like world wide I would SO buy that.

  • I'm not sure if you plan to make this into something big, but I do have an idea. Maybe the board could have a very slight weight imbalance in the center; so that if the marble begins to roll to a stop, the imbalance will very slightly tilt the board so that it continues rolling in one direction.

This is wicked awesome though. Great job!

  • @IceHedge

way to be a queer from new england

  • I don't get it. Does queer mean something else in New England?

  • my advice.. just lightly slant the table in the middle so the ball will not stop so much

  • thats what I was thinking.

this is awesome, Id so buy one of these, would make for a great drinking game heh

  • looks lovely!

  • this table is not good level

  • That should tilt

  • haha

  • GoodJob!

  • AWESOME! I would buy that. Now do Arkanoid!

  • wtf you guys it's not fail, it's awesome

  • You guys rule.

  • duuuude that thing is awesome

  • Am I slut? Whenever I stucy biology i want to have sex...

  • how does that mechanism on the paddles work?

the part that shoots the ball.

  • it automatically launches the ball?

  • NERD ALERT!

  • not bad.. quite cool..

  • It reminds me these table games:

    pushmania . com/flash-game/air-hockey

  • in the era of touchscreens this looks little .. of

  • Was a good effort, but all in all.... fail =\, looks awsome though but, it just doesnt work lol

  • dude u should try tabletop halo

  • i had this idea but you beet me to it

  • nice idea.

  • Oh yeah... f**k my Xbox 360... I want TABLETOP PONG!!!

  • why don't you bend the plastic so that the centre portion is higher than the 2 ends? =)

  • you should go 50 years back in the past.

  • you guys are about 30 years late on this one...lol

  • haha awesome

  • An idea..maybe if the tables where magnetic each side pull the ball maybe this would help with not letting the ball stop mid way..

  • that sounds like a good idea to me

  • Maybe the edges on the top and bottom should have kickers too? Just so when it bounces off the sides it keeps going...?

  • Maybe you should pitch the center of the game area a hair.

  • you should add air like in air hockey and level it. And add an electro magnetic field that attracts the ball to both ends.

  • what if maybe there aws a way to make it more sensitive or something?

  • My consensus would be giving the paddles a little more kick in them, putting in a level and easy-adjusting legs, and making the board at a slight incline with the middle of the table being more elevated than the goal areas. That way they are in constant motion, and with the extra power they wont fall back on the same side after being hit.

  • aliitle sound would make this awesome

  • I think you should put a sort of joy stick onto the little wheel to make it easier to spin.

Other then that it looks fun!

  • @AyDuM i think they thought that through, because if they did that, it'd be just like playing atari, except your doing it on a table instead of a tv screen. but i do agree. should've made some sort of a better grip, if not in the process.

  • You guys are aware that the original Atari system, and Pong, were controlled by a paddle controller, that was basically just a rectangle with a wheel on top of it? Just checking.

  • @pantslesswrock: uhhh, yeah. but what they did here is called modernizing. and therefore my point was they should have created something more modern as opposed to the original atari paddle that had the wheel to control the "paddle" that actually hits the ball.

  • Well, I would argue that what this is isn't modernizing. In fact, it's the opposite. It's taking a digital game, and attempting to transpose it into a completely non-digital real-world game that doesn't necessarily look like the original, but is still the same game (as opposed to the other real-world pong that looked more like the video game). Also, the knob control method seems like an easier way to make it. I'd like to someday see real-world pong w/o electricity.

  • Bigger paddles may help. Seeing as when the ball hits the paddle at an angle it slows down too much to make it to the other side.

  • id buy it

  • thats cool!

  • guys make it so that it tilts a little at the middle line in an upside down v shape so the ball doesn't stop rolling, but its still great

  • @Divinewrath007 That would work but the momentum would go screwy.

  • yeah, but then a slow ball will actually come back down the slope and return to the player =X

  • great idea

  • even though the games kinda outdated

its still original and fucking kickass

    awesome.

  • what kind of laugh was that 1: 30

  • 1:17 laughter nerd!!

  • good invention, maybe if you apply (crazy glue) some sort of a magnetic rod at each end of the player maybe the metal sphere would make it to the other side. lol.

  • if you incerease the size of the paddle by a little, the game will last longer. i see where the ball gets hit by the conner of the paddle but with out enough force.

  • @1102071 thats what she said

  • @jameswm69 o sorry that, i dont go thourgh and read all the comments about what others have wrote. my bad if i was trying to give a little help to these people

  • @1102071 yeah your right, the paddle should have a curved edge rather then 90 degree angle corners

  • magnifique ! énorme etc etc.... du lourd :D

  • absolutely one of the coolest things ever! how can i get one of those?? i have a three legged dog named Lexy and im posting videos of her and her life as a tripawd so check it out when you get the chance

  • Excellent! Now put in a gutter on each end to catch the ball when it passes the bat, angled so the ball rolls down to the bottom and is then re-fired onto the playing field with a solenoid. The switch that operates the solenoid could also operate the score change.

  • you gotta make the gear ratio big enough to reach from the top of the board to the bottom with only a quarter turn of the knob. would make the game alot easier to play.

  • boaaaa

  • I was wondering who invented this atari game....

  • Nolan Bushnell

  • very funny video, I love it !

  • прикольна)

  • Very original =D

  • По уровню надо было ставить!))

  • Super cool !

  • bullshitttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • cool :)

  • 1:27 FAIL hahahah

  • Put some rubber bumpers on the sides...that might help the speed when it's a slow roller

  • Nice!! Good job folks!

  • I love the nerd talk!!

  • love this low tech version!

  • Забавно!!!)))

  • wow,awesome

hey, watch 'captain planet' on my channel..thanks

  • I want one! I will pay $30 right now!

  • If you warp the board slightly, the ball won't get stuck.

  • they need to level the table. you should include a built in level for the top left and bottom right corners, with adjustable feet. well... that's what I would do.

  • too much like air hockey

  • Balance and sharper controls. Nice $

  • lol

    do you create this machine?

  • 1.16 LOL

  • Needs a lot of work. Could be cool, though.

  • Yes the wheel sensitivty needs to be sharper. But seriously good, you could sell those things o.o

  • >Yes the wheel sensitivty needs to be sharper.

One turn covers the whole play range-- I think that's less than the original PONG. :)

  • Epic

  • IT'S COOL BUT ITS NOT PING PONG DUMBASS

  • @INTERFAMOUSSECRETS...

    epic fail

  • maby you should make it like air hoky...

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • that was great!! but jw. wouldnt it be easier if u made the wheel a bit more sensitive? cuz it looked really slow, like u had to twist ur wrist too much to only go so far. i guess its a suggestion.

  • Está buenísimo. Debería tener algo así como unas palancas de caña de pescar a cada lado, para que se pudiera mover más rápido, ¿no?. 5 estrellas.

  • rly nice althought idk about the turning wheel thing

  • Pong was originally controlled by a wheel.

  • Brilliant - when can I get one? :D

  • I want one, awesome idea!

  • its a great idea.. although i think it work better as an air hockey concept to really get closer to pong physics... plus the table they were playing on was slanted >:|

  • i would like to pre-order 2 please (:

  • thats awesome

  • стол кривой

  • If you slightly angled each side, the ball would roll better...

  • @kasstzam i was thinking this exact thing. if you just had a slight incline either side of the line, you wouldn't have that "not reaching the bumper" thing, without the ridiculous speed problems you'd get with kicking up the bumper power.

  • LOL

  • holy crap! i want one :P

  • Звук прикоольный)

  • Too fast! I can't understand anything!

  • thats pretty impressive

  • awesome!!!! can you please leave shcematic of it!!!! i wouyld love to make one!!!

  • qué estupidez!
