Pixar's Up is overrated. it's still a good movie though without any doubt. there's a lot of fun, entertainment and enjoyment to be had when watching. not as good as the original Toy Story, but still good nonetheless. 8/5/10.
@Ace6470 agreed. i could barely make out what he was saying because he was speaking too fast. he's far too overprotective of his little brother. it's definitely a family film for all ages.
Up is amazing. Probably the funniest movie I've seen in a long time, and I laughed, and I cried, and I found myself on the edge of my seat many times! It's was just fantastic.
UP IS GRAET!!! I LOVED IT!!! i watched it and i took my brother he is 4 he wernt sceard!! he was okay he Loved it!!!! the Man dont know wa he talkin abought!! 10/10
Disney Pixar has made a lot of fantastic movies but I loved this the best. 10/10 for Up. I loved the climax fight scene at the end it made me tense even though it was animation.
Lots of people are saying it was bad because it was depressing, but I think the key to the movie was that it took you on a ride of emotions from laughing to crying. Most movies can't accomplish that and I loved how it was used in a pixar. As for the 3D I felt that they used it wisely, they used it to add more depth and feel and not to have things jump out at you.
i saw it in 2d and it was great, he made a club and met a girl, he grew up with the girl, married the girl, then at an old age the girl died of a disease and he had to go to a waterfall with his house to abide by a promise
I disagree that this movie is an animated version of "The Bucket List." It was COMPLETELY not like that movie at all. He wasn't trying to do this great feat to bring meaning to his life, he was doing this to keep a promise to someone he loves.
I'm tired of hearing that this movie is just like "The Bucket List" because its not on so many levels.
The movie was great and the 3D could've been better... but overall was a great film.
this movie was very good the kid i could realate to easly because i dont always have my parents support ... and the old guys wife was so sweet it ade me realy sad when she died v.v
I recently saw Up and it was fantastic. It's very emotional, yet funny and heartwarming. Kids do need to deal with loss at some point because you never know when it's going to happen. Why not do it through something they can relate to? ANIMATION! 10 out of 10, 100%, A+, 5 Stars, 2 thumbs way UP!
the reason why they say "Up" doesn't have alot of 3D is because it isn't the regular 3D. Pixar uses 3D to show detail instead of stuff popping out at you. Monsters vs. Aliens also uses 3D this way. Both movies actually have 3D effects throughout the whole film, just not as boldly as other 3D films. If you take off your 3D glasses during the film you will see that characters and background are a bit blurry, thus causing them to pop out a little, but not too much.
This film is awsome i love pixar and i was glad to see em do something a bit different. The talking dogs took a bit of getting used to because it was set in the 'real' world rather than a fantasy one but im not complaining, Doug is hilarious.
OMG! Pixar did a great job! It is a great movie and is just plain funny! There are just plain funny jokes. And the montage in the beginning was one of the best i have seen!
At 1:40 you could have of tied all those ballons to a couch and had a parachute with you and you'll have a great time. This movie is almost as great as the red ballon made in 1955, but not as great. 10 out of 10 stars.
i honestly dont really agree with how you make people rate the movie and compare it with others JUST after they've seen it... i mean, when you've just seen a movie it will always stand out more compared to other movies, I always need time i consider a movie before knowing how good it actually was..
Wow, people are such cowards nowadays it's not even funny. Anyone who's at the point that they would feel uncomfortable having their kids see a movie like this seriously doesn't deserve to have children. They were obviously neglected as kids so they'll just carry on with the same jurisdiction and ultimately pass it on even further. Yeah, 'cause a kid is going to be traumatized for life due to a little death in a film. Have you ever seen the Disney classics or even read a book for that matter?
Its amazing to see Pixar deal with more mature issues in a children's movie, and to do it so tenderly; a great film with the amount of heart put into it being evident.
Unlike some movies, like X-Men Origins and Terminator, this movie definitely looks worth seeing. If I want to watch a movie full of blood and guts, like X-Men and Terminator, then it better have at least some better ratings. Its sometimes hard to find a good movie that both adults like and that one feels comfortable taking their children to see. Plus Pixar does have a good ability to make a very decdent story line out of nothing.

I don't know if I want my kids to see this movie. It just seems that the movies they make now have adult themes, and jokes. Dear All,
I have some curious questions:
(1) Why do we like to imagine to live in a flying home similar to that in "UP!"?
(2) What is the reason behind that young children like flying so much?
(3) How does the way of flying prefered by girls different from that for boys? (eg. flying slower and smoothly)
(4) If Flight Simulator has Flying House to pilot, will this be attractive to girls and young children?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creatrive ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

I had no idea Russel was supposed to be Asian-American.
Am I the only one who thought this movie was incredibly sad?! My friends and I were crying our eyes out! It was so, so sad! I'd give it a 10/10.
