  • i think that people in chicago just put random stuff they put on pizza (except you know, pickles) just so they dont see any part of the actual hotdog

  • Neon relish???lol just add a little food coloring...mmmm mmm good ;)

By the time he finishing this his dog is cold....The basic ingredients include celery salt, onions, dill spear, relish, tomatoes, peppers(sport),poppyseed bun(traditional).Mustard or catsup is optional and who cares if you like catsup on your hotdog.

I don't put everything on my Chicago dog-I eat the dill and peppers on the side and I never put salt on my hotdog(not needed),I'll put it in my bloody mary though ;)

  • When you put all that shit on there it's not even a hot dog any more.

  • Nice job and I like how you improvised on the poppy seed buns and the peppers. I'm an expert at the chicago dog and that looked good enough to eat!

  • ppl don't complain CHICAGO IS BEAST ok and mono for ketchup so ppl stfu

  • I love Chicago style hot dogs! Reminds me of when we used to play beach volleyball on Oak Street Beach in the summer time. But did he say "pepperoncini mushrooms" at 6:23?

  • I love the video! I am a vegetarian, but you do such a great job in making the Chicago Dog, you make me want one! Nice Job!

  • at 5:18 ... "that's what she said!"

  • @phan9095 can't stop laughing. especially with that chuckle during the delivery. can i get that for my ringtone?

  • mmm. Yum!

  • fuck yankees, i will put ketchup on my hot dog until i die!!!!

  • DAMN IM HUNGRY !!!

  • Oh BS. With all the other garbage (peppers, onions, etc.), how does a poppy seed bun add to the flavor??

  • @lrbaseball15 call Chicago and complain to them...1-312-555-1212. I'm just the cook.

  • @BBQTalk nice reply ..you made the perfect Chicago Hotdog ..even i know that one and im from Norway :)...even said celery salt ....but i put the mustard right on the dog before the rest ...but it taste the same :)...great video by the way !

  • Great video man, just one major flaw: Vienna beef hot dogs! No hot dog place I've ever been to in Chicago in all my life has served anything other than Vienna all beef hot dogs. Chicago: Bulls, Bears, and Vienna beef hot dogs. Its just part of us.

  • i thought it was pretty good video. need a tiny bit more light and would have looked pro!

  • Wrong , wrong wrong. The hot dog buns should steamed too. The hot dogs are never boiled only steamed. You don't put poopy seeds on bun like that. You buy them with the poppy seeds already on. Yes, only mustard because it compliments the peppers. Kechup kills the flavors.

  • I kinda agree with tobats2. I can eat whatever the hell I want. I don't even like ketchup on hot dogs, but what if i did? Is it a sin to put ketchup on a chicago hot dog? Must be to Chicago chefs.

  • @kambelzful its not a sin ...but its not a Chicago hot dog anymore ..its just a hot dog with toppings :)

  • A Chicago Hot Dog does not use top=sliced buns. Only side-sliced ones.

  • a chicago hot dog doesnt have ketchup....plus you forgot the celery salt...nice job tho

  • @TheJudah773 You should re-watch 2 parts of this video, and listen to the part where I tell you to NOT use ketchup, then I proceed to use celery salt.

  • @BBQTalk nooo your video was perfect i was referring other comments of people saying that you should make a video using ketchup, im from Chicago and you pretty much nailed it :)

  • @TheJudah773 LMAO...I was thinking to myself, "man, I know I covered both those points!" Thanks for watching!

  • U know some of you guys seriously considered putting your penis's into boiling water after seeing what happened to those hot dogs.....=)

  • make me one with a lot of ketchup plz thank u kome again

  • As a Chicago Native I must say, thats one mighty fine lookin hot dog man. I have a Chicago hotdog cart that I run down in sc but we get all our product from Chicago. You should do a chicago style deep dish next, best pizza ever!

  • I had no idea how to make the Chicago style hot dog ! you video help me a lot , thanks :)

  • That looks awesome. Now I am hungry. I do wonder, however if grocery all-beef deli dogs would serve better than the 4-to-a-pack franks you get out of the "Oscar Meyer" section, such as the ones you showed in the vid.

    Great vid. :)

  • @ObsidianRider Yes, I've tried most ways, and they all produce a good hotdog!

  • needs a bigger bun yo!

  • catsup ?

  • @kebabrullemums thats the other way u spell ketchup....

  • Are them there dogs kosher? I like to cook my dogs in the microwave.

  • Well done Sir. Thx for sharing.

  • Umm the mustard goes on the dog first, then the relish n onions.

  • Why not just use green food coloring?

  • Never tried one; but hotdogs are meant to be simple IMO.

Looks over-complicated & too many flavours.

  • i'd put ketchup on it.

  • @tobats2 such a rebel

  • @BBQTalk What if i LIke ketchup on my hot dogs? that means i have no right to live in chicago ?(i actually do) i should probably get packing! lol

  • @BBQTalk lol

  • @tobats2

You would be stoned to death in Chicago for putting ketchup on a hot dog.

  • Thanks. I've been scouring the web for advice on the Nuclear Relish, but this is the first instance of a recipe.

  • @teclo64 You're Welcome.

    Thanks for watching!

  • Awesome looking dogs. But did you notice you said you added pepperoncini Mushrooms. But I knew what you meant.

  • I made The Chicago Dog today for lunch.(for the first time) Goodness, It was so good. Try it folks.

  • you called the pepper a mushroom at the end and didn't catch yourself. =)

  • Awesome Dogs!!! I never knew Chicago had their own flare on the hot dog. Thanks again for the video. I was going thru withdrawals so I am glad you uploaded a video. Thanks!!!!!

  • what hotdog, it's a cornicopia with a hotdog in it!!!!

  • A true chicago style hotdog uses a Vienna Beef frankfurters plus side sliced bouns, it holds the topping better. Also check out a Maxwell Street Polish

  • @deathnail316

Have you seen how much they want for those things? The Vienna website has a pack of 30 dogs for $89.99. NO hot dog is worth $3 raw.

  • that lookd super guud!! nice presentation! ima eater and you made me hungry! good job!

  • great job on the video, I thought it was awesome even though I would not use that combo on my dawgs, great delivery! boy did those bad boyz get Phat!

  • I use deli brat buns. The only ladies with enough room for them bad boy's.

    Cheers!

  • Looks good to me. Yum yum yum!

  • yummmm !!!!

  • i dont mean to be picky but you said mushroom they are peppers at 6:27

  • Sorry, I'll send myself to the timeout chair.

    Thanks for watching!

  • Nice.. But as a chicago dog connoisseur, I gotta say, you HAVE TO USE CELERY SALT. Sorry, I hate flaming peoples videos. Please don't think I was doing that to yours.. lol. For that reason, I won't even get on you about not putting the mustard on the dog first which holds the onions in place. lol.. Great video though! Now I have to go make some... :)

  • lmao!

Thanks for the comments, but I did advise in the video, and put a post in the description about "celery salt" : )

and you are right, my mustard placement is not in proper Chicago order : ) my bad

Love the comments, and many thanks for watching!!!

  • Lathan1977, He said in the video "Caeser Rimmer" which is exactly that... Celery Salt.

  • oh man, i was eating those peppers whole earlier today. love them. same brand as well.

  • That looks perfect!

  • YUMMM!!

  • That is one loaded hotdog! yum

  • first
