How did this get so warped? Were you trying to equalize the volume? That's pretty much the only flaw of this version.
I love this cool little acoustic jam with Ringo on Marracas. It's got a certain charm you won't find in the Jackie Lomax recording.
Also, that probably would have been what the final version sounded like. Sparing Jackie's vocals, it had Paul on bass, Ringo on drums, and George and Clapton on guitars. It's pretty much a Beatles track anyway.
The great british singer Jackie LOMAX did a superb version of this tune on Apple album 'Is This What You Want?' produced by Harisong with a bunch of gifted musicians as Beatles and Clapton, so Jackie must know them, but...
Bad news:
I don't think Jackie LOMAX has a web site yet, a real pity 'cause I miss his great rock art in popular music. But he's alive somewhere in England, I guess!
Geroge produced this song for Jackie Lomax, who recorded it for his "Is This What You Want" debut on Apple Records. Go there for the full version. Check out the rest of the record too. Good stuff.
From the demo sessions in Kinfauns, George's bungalow in Essex, in the last week of May, 1968. George later produced the song as a single for Jackie Lomax, allegedly featuring Paul, Ringo, Clapton and Nicky Hopkins. Quite a stellar backing group for a debut single!

For the first time,I have to say that someone elses version of a song is better than the Beatles.Jacki Lomax's version of this song is better.

That's not really fair, this is just a demo. Not polished. So we don't really know how The Beatles' final version would have sounded.
