This is a 601HDS. No wing issues. The 601XL had the wing issues. Performance is around the same as a 172 in cruise but climbs mych faster. Lower fuel consumption and far more fun to fly.

im thinking about buying a old cessna 172 or a kit plane like this one. are the capabilities the same. safety on the cessna is probably a little better but i would trust something built by myself more. pros and cons would be helpful....

This is for sure the best slideshow i've ever seen, much more interesting than if you had done a video. It took the mystery out of the misterious part of building the plane. I know for sure now I'm not capable of doing that kind of work, even though I work wood and have a full shop at home. You must be so proud!
