This song is hard for me to listen to, it stirs up bad bad memories in my mind.

In fall/winter 1990/91 it was on heavy rotation on MTW. It's also the time when I reached the bottom: heavily heroin addict, homeless, my family cast me out.

In this freezing cold winter I just had a friend who allowed me to stay in his living room to warm up a little and I always watched MTW. "This wasn't supposed to happen... no, this wasn't.

The record label probably pressured them to add the rap since Vanilla Ice was huge when this was released. It really detracts from this great song. Just proves that the label executives shouldn't tinker with the artists.

I have to agree with you on that one. It works for this song I guess but usually Einar just sounds fucking horrible and brings the song down so much. Take Deus for example. AMAZING when Bjork sings it but then Einar comes in and oh my goodness he brings the song down a whole notch. I've also seen a few live Sugarcubes clips and he screams like a retard in the background of Bjork's vocals and ruins it. That just pissed me right off.
