The original was really funny. I was surprised they remade it. I'm always surprised when they remake movies when there are so many great writers out there. LOL, Brother you are so right! I'm a filmmaker and have studied film and have gone to seminars have written scripts and have sat in many Writer's Guild Foundation events. There is purposely a 'lock out' of black writters. They are not trying to hear some positive role model scripts come throught there. They want the market on creating stories. Con't #2 - When this movie came out, I saw it because of the cast. But after seeing it I was so disappointed. I remember sitting there thinking. Oh boy I did it again. I gave me money to such a travesty of bafoonery again.  Chris Rock is such a sellout. As terrible as script it was I just knew some desperate wannabe writer vomited it up on a whim. But was grossly surprised that this was from the U.K. Also, these comedians think they are the voice of blacks but they're NOT! I was angry at us.

@youwashmeka123 Sad to say but some of us are constantly around blacks that live up to the stereotype...many black reinforce stereotypes. Other races make satirical movies about their stereotypes. I think this movies was just a crazy movie and not anywhere near the level of coonery you will find in a Tyler Perry movie. Oh if a black movie has negative stereotypes in it, it is a reflection of real life in it. We do need more of a balance/diversity of the type of black characters in movies.
