@bboy4050 LOL yeah it is a girls car, they always think its SOOO cute.. the only good thing about the miata is it handles like a go kart (at low speeds). but stock, it only has "fkn power" in 1st gear... it can beat escorts and cavaliers, sure.. but any sports car, ANY sports car will pull away on the highway, even the lowly mustang (unless its v6).

by the way, MY miata has the Jackson Racing cold air intake... sounds a lot better, but still a bit gutless, maybe a JRSC will do better! ;)

@bboy4050 while i love the miata as much as you do you're being pretty ignorant. the miata is one of the slowest cars around and has very little power in stock form. i mean come on, i was driving my girlfriend's NA and i got blown away by 4 fat dudes in a prius. my mercury sable is faster in a straight line than a miata. almost everything is faster than a miata in a straight line. but very few can beat it in the turns.

Being that: light weight, great handling and a reasonable amount of power, you don't need it! Its all about how it FEELS and HANDLES. I can see why DRIVING ENTHUSIASTS like them. Its not all about power, cars do go round corners, and HOW they go round corners is what is great about driving - not just getting into a V8 motor and putting your foot down.

@counterclockwise123 @counterclockwise123 If you're not all that a competent driver and can't / won't have fun in the corners though, the likes of an MX5 / Miata won't fulfill your needs - but don't call the car crap because you don't have talent and ability to enjoy it as it was design to be. The intention was to make a classic, AFFORDABLE, drivers car and it does very well. ONLY because its affordable and is 'rag-top' - loads of girls bought the thing!
