You speak the truth in a world of "Newbies" that only want that magic bullet or think "Strobist" is the "Only" answer or think that strobist is a name for all flash photography.. I commend you for being brutally honest and tell these new guys the truth. If you want to learn something guys listen to what he is saying. I can tell he has been around in the film days like me.. He learned shooting "Roids" and pushes and pulls and running "Snip" tests.
I own this video and its very informative... I study this dvd and i study and i study some more...

I have never watch a similar video in terms of understanding exposure.
Many professional photographers knows all the technical information you presented but none of them can teach others like the way you do.
I felt you were talking to me since all the common mistakes and misunderstanding you mentioned about flash exposure apply to me.
The only thing I would suggest is to have a different DVD’s title. It should read something like “The Five Variables in Understanding Flash Exposure"
