4 those of u who say they would like 2 experience quakes i live in LA & we have quakes @ times ther quite scary last time ther was 1 it made me dizzy imagine being swayed back & forth(when its mild) but when its stronger its plain scary paralyzing & thats y sometimes ppl dont think 2 look 4 cover

@silvereagle2061 well a lot of them are on high floors in skyscraper buildings which presents another danger during an earthquake trying to go down steps. besides these buildings are built to withstand an earthquake up to a magnitude of 11.0. they are masters in the craft of engineering for earthquakes

there were hardly any damage done to the building structure, considerring the magnitude. that's pretty impressive. remember this was 8.8!

@pimpdalyrical I think the workers were trying to save their equipment from getting damaged becasue the person talking in the video said "please stay calm the earthquake will settle in a moment, get under sturdt tables and such" and I also think that alot of japanese didnt understand exactly how large it was because usually it would end rather quickly. And becasue there buildings are more prone to disasters like this they didnt worry much about things falling from above.

It was pretty bad for me because I live in Nagoya, I felt a magnitude of about 3 or 4. Tokyo was hit hard, and hopefully they can go back to normal quickly and soon. One of the airports in Tokyo was also flooded by these tsunamis, and probably won't be able to fly planes for a while.
